"Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you" - Anne Lamott. Isn't it the truth?! In our tech-heavy world, it's important to take time to unplug and reconnect with ourselves. By stepping away from our screens, we can recharge and restore our energy. Our breathwork technique today is called Breath of Fire. This energizing breath activates your inner vitality, helping you feel refreshed and revitalized. It's like giving yourself a burst of oxygen and energy, unplugging from the outside world, and plugging into your own power. If you are pregnant or have any heart or other health issues, we recommend you skip the Breath of Fire section and practice low, deep breaths instead for your comfort and safety.

Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes,

Including you,

Anne Lamont.

Welcome to your few minutes of unplugging today.

Hey,

Hannah here,

And I welcome and acknowledge you for being here.

Settle in and take a few giant deep breaths as you arrive.

Today's theme is digital detox.

In our tech heavy world,

It's important to take time to unplug and reconnect with ourselves.

By stepping away from our screens,

We can recharge and restore our own energy.

Our breath work technique today is called breath of fire.

This energizing breath activates your inner vitality,

Helping you feel refreshed and revitalized.

It's like giving yourself a burst of oxygen and energy,

Unplugging from the outside world and plugging into your own power.

Think into a quiet space and posture that feels good.

If you would like,

Gently close your eyes and take a few deep breaths in and out.

Here's how breath of fire works.

Take a deep inhale through your nose and then begin rapid,

Repeated exhales as you sharply contract your abdominal muscles,

Kind of like getting punched in the stomach,

While simultaneously forcing the air out of your nose.

I know it sounds like a lot,

But you got this.

It will sound something like this.

The inhales will happen passively in between each exhale.

I will be breathing with you.

You can follow my breath.

We will inhale and then exhale for 20 times in a row.

Take a deep breath and a slight pause in between,

And repeat that cycle,

Two more times.

If at any point you feel lightheaded,

Simply return to normal breathing.

Here we go.

Take a deep inhale through your nose,

Expanding your belly.

Inhale.

Exhale.

All right,

Let's do it again.

Inhale,

Extending your belly.

Exhale for 20 rounds.

Take a big inhale.

Gentle exhale.

You're doing great.

One more round.

Inhaling through your belly.

20 exhales.

Inhale.

Let it go.

As we wrap up this practice,

Think about what else can you unplug from today so that you can pour into yourself.

Gently folding both hands to rest on top of your heart.

Acknowledging the love within and acknowledging all emotions and all experiences that you carry,

Because all of you matters.

Gently folding your eyes open and returning to the space,

Sending peace and love.
