The stresses of everyday life can become overwhelming. Tension builds up, and we don’t even realize it. We yearn for that special vacation, to get away from it all. But, a daily routine of a relaxing and healing meditation can do wonders. We don’t always have a lot of time in our busy lives, so this 12-minute meditation is specially designed to fit into your busy schedule. Use it when you have a short break, or when you just want to relieve some tension and relax the body. Namaste.

Welcome to Relax and Heal Your Body.

I'm Steve Atwell.

Find a quiet,

Comfortable place to relax.

Feel free to sit or lie down.

Whatever makes you feel comfortable.

Now,

Close your eyes and focus on your breathing.

Take a long,

Deep breath into your belly.

Hold it for a second and then exhale slowly.

Empty your lungs entirely.

Do not strain.

Continue to inhale nice and deep into the belly.

Hold it for a second and then exhale slowly.

Focus on your breathing as you continue to breathe in and out.

Slowly,

Gently,

As you become more and more relaxed.

Now,

Relax your forehead.

Feel the tension melt away.

Breathe in slowly and out slowly.

Breathe in refreshing,

Clean air and exhale any tension.

Let your breathing take on a natural,

Easy pace.

If any thoughts enter your head,

Simply let them drift away like clouds on a clear,

Warm summer day.

As you become more and more relaxed,

Open your mind's eye.

Imagine you are alone on a warm summer day,

Sitting next to a waterfall.

Feel the warm energy from the sun entering your body,

Kissing your face.

You feel warm and loved.

The gentle mist from the waterfall drifts over in perfect balance to the sun.

You are neither hot nor cold.

You are simply very comfortable.

Breathe deeply and feel the fresh,

Clean air heal your inside.

Feel the warmth of the sun travel throughout your body,

Relaxing you from the inside.

Feel your muscles relax,

Become less tense and softer.

Breathe deeply.

Let your body release all tension.

You are more than your body.

You are energy.

Breathe deeply.

Relax your shoulders,

Your arms and your legs.

You are more than your body.

You are energy.

Let any thoughts drift by like clouds.

Your inner energy is growing.

Feel it grow like a fire when more wood is thrown on it.

Let this energy permeate your entire body,

Removing any aches or pains.

Let your energy heal and relax your body.

Breathe deeply.

Relax your jaw,

Your face.

Let go of all tension.

You are in a state of peace.

Your body is relaxed and comfortable.

Focus on your breathing.

Slow and deep.

Hear the silence grow.

Your mind is still.

Enjoy the peace and healing.

When you are ready,

Begin to return from this state of bliss.

You can always return to this place whenever you wish.

Focus on your breathing.

Breathe deeply.

And start to notice your surroundings.

Notice the chair or floor or bed you are on.

Notice the pressure of your body on it.

Notice your arms,

Your legs.

Maybe you even feel like having a big yawn.

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Reconnect with your body.

And when you are ready,

Open your eyes.

Feel the relaxation and renewed energy flowing through your body.
