Hey,

It's Cyrus.

Welcome to this short meditative exercise to increase your capacity to effortlessly exchange energy with others in a way that will improve the quality and enjoyment of your relationships and connections.

If you repeat this session frequently,

You're likely to notice major improvements in the flow and ease of your connections and relationships.

Begin by sitting upright in a chair with good back support and closing your eyes.

Take a deep,

Slow breath in through your nose all the way down to your toes,

And very slowly track the breath as it flows back up through the body and out through the mouth,

Gently and effortlessly,

Relaxing your muscles as you release.

Take one more breath,

Twice as deep and twice as slow,

Breathing deeply,

Slowly in through the nose,

Watching the energy of the breath as it moves down,

And super slowly back up on the exhale,

Relaxing even deeper.

Taking a moment now to settle into stillness other than the natural rise and fall of your stomach and chest with your breath.

Allow your legs and feet to relax,

Your pelvic floor to drop into the support.

Allow your back muscles to soften against the chair,

Your chest and stomach to open and bloom gently with the breath.

Allow the arms and hands to become effortless and relaxed,

The neck and shoulders to open and soften.

Allow the jaw to unclench any tension,

The tongue to drop to the floor of the mouth,

The little muscles around the eyes to soften,

And allowing the entire face to relax as the breath washes down and releases any remaining tension in the body.

And now notice any thoughts that are occurring,

And imagine the space behind your eyes starting to become open and more empty with each breath.

And now imagine and allow your thinking mind to dissolve downward into your heart,

Like the sands of an hourglass trickling downward and being easily absorbed by the spaciousness in the energy of your heart area.

And now notice any tension or closure in your heart area.

Notice any emotions or sensations that are blocking you from being totally open in your heart.

And just allow that to be for a moment.

Hold nonjudgmental space for whatever sensations you feel in the heart area.

Don't think,

Don't try to change anything.

Just watch the sensations you feel in the hearts and allow them to be as they are.

And now imagine a space opening up around that energy in the heart,

And imagine the heart energy relaxing into that bigger space.

Allow any energy you wish to let go of now to start to dissolve and flow out with the breath.

Allow yourself to become lighter and more invigorated in the area around the heart.

Imagine and feel that area becoming totally open in that spaciousness.

So with the front of the body open,

You can be sensitive and receptive to whatever or whoever is in front of you.

Now imagine connecting with one person of your choice.

Whoever pops in your mind that you intuitively feel good about connecting with.

Just allow the vision of them to materialize in front of you.

Sense and feel them as if they were really there in front of you now.

Allow your eyes to be soft in your gaze and your heart to be open as you witness them in front of you.

And in the same way that you felt and sensed the energy within your heart and your body,

Start to pay attention to them in the same way.

Feel and sense their particular signature of energy in this moment.

And if it feels right to you in this moment,

Allow your energy to exchange with theirs.

To flow and mingle and vibe,

Perhaps without even needing to say a word.

Just allowing your unique energy and their unique energy to interact and feel and create something totally unique in this moment.

Feel yourself letting go of needing anything from the other person and instead allow yourself to see into their essence,

The purest part of their heart and consciousness,

Just like you did with your own.

Allowing their inner light to be a natural reflection of yours as you simply see and appreciate them deeply without needing anything in return.

And perhaps you imagine them speaking or expressing themselves and allow yourself to fully focus on listening and receiving and see if you can enjoy that energy of purely listening and receiving what they're putting out there.

And perhaps if you wish,

You imagine yourself expressing yourself in whatever way it feels open and good to you.

And as you do,

Just enjoy the feeling of expressing yourself and being seen and heard and understood.

Maybe even if you feel inclined,

Imagine yourself having fun,

Cracking a joke,

Having a laugh,

Just imagining yourself lighthearted,

Carefree,

And relaxing into that in that mutual presence and flow of energy.

And in this moment,

Affirm and appreciate the act of simply connecting and enjoying the exchange of that energy for its own sake.

And now that you've practiced seeing and feeling that,

If you wish,

Set an intention to practice this in your daily life today,

Perhaps to take the initiative to connect with others,

To direct your attention away from your head and down into your heart and the openness of your energy,

To sense and pay attention to others' energy and enjoy the flow and exchange of that naturally moment to moment,

Allowing the depth and quality of your relationships and connections to naturally improve as a consequence.

When you feel ready,

Allow your eyes to open and move in whatever way feels intuitive,

Warming back up into a rhythm one moment at a time at your own pace.
