Explore MeditationThe course instructor is Dr. Thomas Pressel, he is a doctor / specialist physician in orthopedics. He has undergone training as a mindfulness meditation teacher, which he also uses for medical purposes like pain management. Dr. Pressel has been involved with meditation for many years and has experienced the positive effects himself. He got to know different meditation techniques and has been practicing meditation every day for several years. He is a student of Zen Master Julian Daizan Skinner, a teacher of the Rinzai school of Zen and founder of Zenways. Julian Daizan Skinner has over 30 years of experience as a teacher and course leader in mindfulness meditation and Zen, which is reflected in the well-structured course design, which is tailored to the needs of the participants. Like his teacher, Pressel is very interested in enabling many people to learn about meditation techniques. That’s why Dr. Pressel completed further training as a “Mindfulness Meditation Teacher” in order to be able to teach qualified meditation in his courses. In addition, Dr. Pressel draws on his long experience as a Zen student for those participants who want to delve deeper into Zen Buddhism.
