Gently close your eyes and bring your attention to your breath.
Using all of your senses,
Become aware of the air entering and leaving your body.
With every breath,
You're becoming more and more relaxed,
More aware of this moment and this moment only.
If thoughts enter your mind,
Simply acknowledge them and allow them to pass as you bring your attention back to your breath.
As you are becoming more and more at peace,
Take a moment to bring your awareness to your entire body.
Notice any areas where there's tension or discomfort if there are any.
And if you find one or several,
Then shift your attention to those places one at a time.
Greet them with a sense of curiosity.
There's no need to label them or become wrapped up in their story.
All you need to do is simply feel them.
Continue breathing normally,
Sinking deeper and deeper into your cushion,
Your chair or your bed with every exhale.
In this moment,
The only one that exists,
You are safe.
You are protected.
In this time,
A time you have chosen,
You are connected to a peace that resides within you.
It's accessible at any time,
Wherever you are.
All you need to do to bring it into your awareness is to stop and connect to your breath,
Just like you're doing now.
As you listen to my voice now,
Gently bring your attention to this place where you are.
Feel the space around you.
Notice the sounds.
And as you bring your attention to this place,
At this time,
As this meditation draws to a close,
Know that you exist in peace,
That you are a light and love.
And the path that you are on will always lead you to growth and serenity.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes and continue this gift of a day.
