This meditation is a simple practice to help you understand and see through sugar cravings into their deeper expression: a longing to rediscover the 'sweetness of life.' Through meditation, you'll cultivate the perception that these "cravings" are often requests to hold some new level of self-care. We see our thoughts and emotions through the lens of kindness, seeing them not as must-dos or 'compulsions' but simply as signals that something deeper is wanting a relationship with us. You'll cultivate friendliness and a relationship with these sensations and thoughts, listening to them with curiosity and openness. Through the practice, we release both shame and justification/rationalizations on the one hand and redirect our actions towards that which enriches life. Music by Christopher Lloyd Clarke.
