Part 1 Root Chakra Meditation Welcome to the 8 part meditation series on balancing and clearing your chakras.
The purpose of the series is to clear blockages in each individual chakra releasing disharmony and restoring the natural flow of your energetic body.
The first part of this series is a root chakra meditation.
The root chakra is located at the base of your spine.
This energy center is responsible for the source of security,
Stability and helps you feel grounded.
Now find a comfortable place to sit or lie down.
If you are sitting,
Place your hands on your lap,
Palms facing up and straighten your back.
If you are lying down,
Place your arms at the side with your palms facing up.
Now we will place our attention to our breath.
These breaths will be a slow and deep 4 second count,
Inhale through the nose,
A 4 second pause at the top of your breath and a 4 second exhale through the mouth.
Let us begin now.
Take a slow deep inhale through the nose,
2,
3,
4 and at the top of your breath hold it for 4 seconds,
2,
3,
4 and slowly exhale through the mouth,
2,
3,
4,
Releasing,
Relaxing.
Again take a slow deep inhale through the nose,
2,
3,
4 and at the top of your breath hold it for 4 seconds,
2,
3,
4 and slowly exhale through the mouth,
2,
3,
4.
Now continue to do this for a few more seconds and allow yourself to relax.

We will do it one last time.
Take a slow deep inhale through the nose,

3,
4,
At the top of your breath hold it for 4 seconds,
2,
3,
4 and slowly exhale through the mouth,

3,
4.
Fantastic.
Now return to your normal natural breathing.
As you return to your natural breath continue to relax the body,
Releasing any stress or tension through your breath.
Let it all go.
In this moment there is only now.
No thought of what to do or what has to be done.
No thoughts about the future,
No thoughts about the past,
What you could have done or should have done.
Here in the now we let all of that go.
There is only the present moment of the here and now and in this moment we are releasing,
Relaxing,
Letting go and following our breath.
Now bring your attention and your awareness to the base of your spine.
This is where your root chakra is located.
The color that represents the root chakra is red.
The root chakra represents our stability and our security.
When this chakra is off balance you will most likely feel insecure,
Off balance and not certain.
In order to balance the chakra we will focus our attention on this red spinning wheel.
Envision this red wheel spinning easily with no restriction.
Envision this wheel growing brighter,
Growing larger and moving faster.
Feel the wheels vibrating,
Feel the vibration increasing.
Hear the wheels hum increase.
All unwanted stagnant energy is now being released from your root chakra.
It feels more clear,
It feels lighter,
It feels smoother.
Envision this red glow continuing to expand in its vibration throughout your energetic body.
Feel the vibration continue to increase.
Your root chakra is now balanced and cleared.
You feel more balanced.
You feel more stable.
You feel more secure.
Now repeat after me and affirm.
I am grounded.
I am stable.
I am secure.
I am confident.
Very good.
Now as we did in the beginning,
Take a slow deep breath for 4 seconds,
2,
3,
4.
Hold it for 4 seconds,
2,
3,
4 and exhale for 4 seconds,
2,
3,
4.
Release and relax.
Now slowly bring your attention back to where you were sitting or lying down.
Move your fingers and your toes and when ready you may open your eyes slowly,
Returning to your conscious awareness fully relaxed,
Balanced and confident.
