Welcome to this grounding meditation.
We're going to begin by finding a comfortable seated position.
You can sit on the floor in easy pose,
Crossed at your shins,
Or you can sit in a chair with your back straight,
Feet flat on the earth.
Wherever you sit,
Begin to notice the earth underneath your body,
The support underneath your body,
And take a few deep breaths,
Bringing yourself into the present moment,
Into your body.
We will begin by drawing earth energy up from beneath our feet,
From beneath our tailbone,
Up through our legs,
All the way up into our belly space.
And as we breathe out,
We'll breathe our life force back down our legs and into the earth.
We will repeat this breath pattern a few times.
Let's begin together.
Take a deep breath in.
Draw the earth energy up through your feet,
Up through your legs,
Up into your belly as it expands.
And then as your belly relaxes,
Send the breath back down your legs and out through the soles and heels of your feet.
Again,
Take a deep breath in from the core of the earth all the way up through your feet,
Your legs,
Your belly center.
Feel a big Buddha belly expand.
And then let your belly relax.
Send this earth energy back to Mother Gaia,
Mother Earth.
Repeat on your own a few times,
Feeling the strength and stability of Mother Earth pulling up through your body with each deep breath up into the core of your body.
And as you breathe out,
Send this breath back down and into the earth.
And now we're going to begin to release this breath pattern.
And notice the energy in your core.
We're now going to begin drawing heaven energy from the sky down through our crown,
Down through our heart,
Into our belly.
And as we breathe out,
The breath will shoot back up the body,
Out through the top of the head to reach the cosmos.
And we'll practice this a few times together.
Take a deep breath in from the sky,
The heavens,
Down through the crown,
The throat,
The heart,
Into your belly.
As you breathe out,
Send the breath back up the body,
Out through the top of the head to reach the cosmos,
The stars.
And again,
Take a deep breath in from above your crown,
All the way down into your belly.
And send the breath back up the body,
Out through the top of the head.
Repeat for a few times,
Bringing heaven energy,
Sky energy,
Divine energy,
Down through the body and out through the body.
Keep drawing that heaven energy down into your big heart,
Your expansive belly.
And let that breath continue back up and out through the top of the head,
Back to the cosmos.
And slowly release this breath pattern and pause,
Noticing the stability of your lower legs,
Your feet,
Your core,
Your belly,
Your solar plexus.
And notice the lightness,
The freeness,
The expansion of your heart,
Your throat,
Your third eye,
Your crown.
And now we're going to blend both these energies,
Heaven,
Earth,
Into our expansive heart center,
Where they meet.
The heart center is where these two energies combine for wholeness and balance.
It is like the unification and the balancing of yin and yang.
So I'd like you to imagine that you can draw earth energy up into your heart,
And you can draw heaven energy down from the crown into your heart.
Again,
Drawing earth energy up with a deep breath in,
Exhaling into your heart.
Take an expansive breath in from the crown,
Down into your beautiful,
Loving heart.
And this is the place where we rest.
In grounding,
We have balanced our body and our mind and melded them into our heart space.
Rest here for another minute or so.
When you're ready,
You can start to slowly deepen your breath and notice how you feel in your body,
In your mind,
In your heart.
Do you feel more present,
More connected,
And open?
