Thank you for joining me for this meditation.
Take a moment to make yourself comfortable and whenever you are ready,
You can gently close your eyes.
Sometimes we find ourselves in the middle of a raging storm,
A storm so powerful,
So fierce that it makes its way within us.
It stirs up memories and emotions,
Shame and guilt,
Anger and outrage.
The storm whips its way through us until we don't even know which way is up.
Sometimes the storm we see raging around us finds its way within.
When you find yourself wondering what is the most important thing that you can do,
When you find yourself one with the storm,
Take a moment to become still.
Know that this storm shall pass and in its wake,
There will be a space that wasn't there before.
Space for new beginnings,
Space for love to expand,
Space for connection and new opportunities.
So don't fight the storm when it passes through you.
Instead,
Welcome it in.
Sit with it and ask what lessons it has come to teach you.
Breathe into the emotions,
Thoughts and sensations within your body.
Name each emotion that whips through your being and welcome it in.
Each emotion has a powerful message and purpose.
Find the constriction that lives within your body,
The tightness,
The areas of discomfort.
These are the places the storm has come to unlock within you.
All you must do is remain present,
Conscious of your breath and aware of the tightness.
Lean into the discomfort the storm brings with it,
For that is the only way through.
Know that on the other side of this storm lies a place of incredible calm.
Once this storm has been storm lies a place of incredible calm.
Once this storm has torn through our being,
Clearing out the things that were no longer serving us,
There will be a beautiful spaciousness within us.
A space in which we can create the future we would like to live in.
Take a moment to bring your awareness back to the present moment,
To the room you are in.
And when you are ready,
You can slowly blink your eyes open.
