Namaste,
Thank you for joining me today.
My name is Amanda and I am so glad that you're here to practice with me.
The intention of this Yoga Nidra is to help you cultivate and nurture your own inner power.
That flame within you that knows who you are and never doubts your innate worthiness.
It's your force,
Your oomph.
Not to be mistaken with egoic power used to make others feel small.
Rather this authentic internal power,
When ignited,
Quietly inspires and invites others to own their power as well.
Yoga Nidra offers so many benefits,
One of them being that every time you're guided through a practice,
You have the opportunity to imprint the message being shared.
This means that the more you practice,
The more you're imprinting a new way of thinking,
Of being.
The more something is imprinted,
The more likely it becomes your reality.
Consider listening to this particular Yoga Nidra practice daily,
If owning your power is something you'd like to nurture.
Yoga Nidra is traditionally practiced in Savasana,
A pose where you lay on your back,
Legs comfortably apart,
Arms resting at your sides,
Palms facing up.
However,
For this practice,
If it feels right for you,
Place your hands,
Palms down on your belly,
On the solar plexus chakra,
Your power center.
If it's more comfortable for you to lay on your side or sit in a seated position,
Feel free to do that instead.
Ensuring your complete comfort is the most important thing before we begin.
Know that this is your time to let go of your thinking mind and just be.
For this is not a doing practice,
It's a being practice.
Bring in whatever you require right now to feel warm,
Cozy and cocooned in your Yoga Nidra nest.
Whatever you need to ensure that your body is fully supported so that you can completely let go and move into an effortless state of consciousness.
When you're ready,
Close down your eyes and begin deepening your breath.
On your next inhalation,
Begin a count up to four.
Then on the exhalation,
Count to six or seven or even eight.
Inhale 1,
2,
3,
4 and release 2,
3,
4,
5,
6.
Inhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
Exhale 2,
3,
4,
5,
6.
Continue each counted breath at your own pace.
Release that now and return to your natural breathing pattern,
Allowing each breath to gently lull your body into stillness.
Each breath bringing you closer to undisturbed calm,
Ease and relaxation.
Now welcoming in your Sankalpa,
A phrase that expresses your heart's deepest desire.
You might choose to use the phrase,
I cultivate and nurture my authentic power within,
Knowing that it serves the highest good in myself and in those around me.
I cultivate and nurture my authentic power within,
Knowing that it serves the highest good in myself and in those around me.
Silently repeat your intention to yourself three times,
Each followed by a deep breath.
I cultivate and nurture my authentic power within,
Knowing that it serves the highest good in myself and in those around me.
Bring your attention to the tip of your tongue,
The root of your tongue,
Inside your right cheek,
Inside your left cheek,
The space between the lips,
The bridge of your nose,
Right cheekbone,
Right temple,
Right eyebrow,
Right eyelid,
Closed and heavy,
Left cheekbone,
Left,
Left,
Left eyelid,
Closed and heavy.
The point between your eyebrows,
The crown of your head,
Back of your head,
Base of your neck,
Right shoulder blade,
Right shoulder,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Palm and back of your right hand,
Thumb,
First finger,
Second finger,
Third finger,
Little finger,
Right side of your chest,
Right side of your waist,
Right hip,
Knee,
Ankle,
Heel,
Sole and top of your right foot,
Big toe,
Second toe,
Third,
Fourth,
Little toe,
Back to the base of your neck,
Left shoulder blade,
Left shoulder,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Palm and back of your left hand,
Thumb,
First finger,
Second finger,
Third,
Little finger,
Left side of your chest,
Left side of your waist,
Left hip,
Knee,
Ankle,
Heel,
Sole and top of your left foot,
Big toe,
Second toe,
Third,
Fourth,
And little toe.
Feel your entire body relaxed,
Calm and at ease.
Witness your natural breath breathing your body in and out.
No need to control your breathing in any way,
Just feeling your breath.
Sensing the rise and fall of your chest and abdomen with each inhale and exhale.
The ebb and flow of your breath breathing your body.
In your mind's eye,
Visualize a place where you feel safe and secure,
Where you feel embraced in love,
Comfort,
Peace and ease.
A place that is real or imagined,
Where you feel grounded and whole.
This might be a favorite place in nature or perhaps it's a room in your home.
Wherever it is,
See yourself here,
Feel yourself here,
In this space where you know all is well,
Where you feel secure and centered.
You are here at this time in the history of this world to be your own unique self,
To bring your many treasured gifts and talents to this planet,
To share all of your wisdom and deep knowing without hesitation,
For you are a divine creation.
A unique energy that has never existed before and one that will never exist again.
You are like a diamond with its own unique facets,
Its own brilliance and beauty,
Unmatched to any other.
Just as a diamond shines unapologetically,
So too can you.
You are a one of a kind,
A once in forever gem that came here with many purposes.
Purposes.
Allow your flame within to burn bright,
Shine dear one,
As only you can.
To own your power is not selfish or too much as you've been led to believe.
It's your birthright.
It's what you came here to do.
To truly own and stand in your power doesn't mean you power over others,
Making them feel small.
It means you're capable of helping others rise into their own power.
The more you shine,
The more others feel that they can shine too.
Feel the force within you rise.
As you stand a little taller,
Put a smile on your face and know your uncompromised worth.
You are here to be all of you.
Without apology or excuse.
Without explanation or reasoning.
Without a need to be like the one next to you.
For you are a diamond,
Unique and unmatched.
Shine like only you can.
Breathe in deeply and allow yourself this time to rest in the words you just heard.
Give the next few moments to breathe and simply be with the knowing that there's nothing wrong with you.
There never has been and there never will be.
You are meant to own your power now now and forever.
Welcome back your Senkelpa.
Silently repeating it as many times as you'd like right now.
Knowing that each time you do,
You're illuminating yourselves with its truth.
I cultivate and nurture my authentic power within.
Knowing that it serves the highest good in myself and in those around me.
I cultivate and nurture my authentic power within.
Knowing that it serves the highest good in myself and in those around me.
I cultivate and nurture my authentic power within.
Knowing that it serves the highest good in myself and in those around me.
It's now time to gently wake the body.
Begin to hear sounds other than my voice.
Sense the room that you're in by visualizing the walls,
The ceiling,
The floor.
Feel the back of your body touching the surface beneath you.
You might gently bring the thumb to touch the tips of each finger.
Slowly wiggle your fingers and toes,
Your wrists and ankles.
You might allow a big stretch,
Helping to wake the body even further.
Give yourself as much time as you require before opening your eyes and returning to the world around you.
The stillness you've created from this practice is so sacred.
If you feel called to,
Pause this recording to give yourself more time to simmer within it.
Please don't rush back into life.
Upon opening your eyes,
You might give yourself time to reflect on this practice in your journal.
You might even choose to write out your sankalpa on a sticky note and post it where you'll see it many times throughout the day.
Reminding you,
I cultivate and nurture my authentic power within.
Knowing that it serves the highest good in myself and in those around me.
Thank you so much for practicing with me today.
This has been Amanda.
I'm deeply honored that you chose to help cultivate and nurture your inner power with this yoga nidra.
If you have a moment,
I'd love for you to leave a message letting me know how you enjoyed this practice.
Your comments not only inspire me to continue sharing these recordings,
They also help others to find them and benefit from them.
May you find yourself standing a little taller and shining a little brighter today and every day.
Namaste.
