Welcome and good morning,
Wherever you are,
Take your time to arrive,
Transitioning from the night you've come from and moving into the fresh new day that greets you.
Before you settle into stillness,
You might like to rock your body from side to side or perhaps shake your body,
Releasing the sleepiness of the evening,
Breathing as you move,
And when you're ready,
You might close down your eyes or soften your gaze,
Slowly moving into stillness,
Take a slow breath in,
Breathing in the freshness of this new day,
And a long exhale out,
Letting your shoulders melt down,
Your jaw unclench,
Soften the front of your chest,
And allowing your spine to be long and spacious,
And then slowly guiding your attention down towards the ground beneath you,
Allowing the earth to hold your body with her unconditional love.
As we greet this morning,
Beginning with a simple prayer,
A prayer of presence,
Of gratitude and of guidance,
You might like to silently whisper to yourself,
May I move through this day with ease,
May I meet myself with kindness,
May I trust the quiet wisdom within.
Feeling these words as an offering,
Not something to strive towards,
But something that already resides inside you.
Now gently guiding your attention into your heart centre,
Finding your way into the middle of your chest,
And imagine a soft light glow that is warm,
Steady,
Shining with life full of potential and possibilities for this new day.
This is the centre of your inner sanctuary,
The place where clarity,
Intuition and peace resides.
With your next inhalation let that light blow just a little more,
Imagine it filling your chest,
Spreading into the front and the back and the sides of your chest,
Spreading up towards your brain,
Lighting up the right and the left hemispheres of your mind muscle,
Spreading gently through your body,
This soft glowing light,
Spreading down your arms,
Into your hands and fingers,
Reaching down into your abdomen,
Your back,
Your belly,
Pelvis,
Down into your legs and your feet and your toes,
This quiet glow,
This blessing filling the whole body,
From the inside out to the edges of your skin,
Spreading into the subtle energy body all around you.
Each time you breathe in this light glows a little brighter,
And perhaps you have your own offering,
Your own morning prayer for today,
A wish,
A blessing,
An intention,
Perhaps it's a single word,
A phrase,
A feeling of peace,
Courage,
Openness,
Perhaps joy,
Gratitude,
And presence,
Let it arise naturally without forcing,
In your own intuitive way,
Placing this intention into every cell of your body,
A gentle promise to yourself,
Let your breath deepen once more,
Feeling the nourishment of the inhale,
And the grounding of the exhale,
And again,
Breathing in nourishment,
Breathing out and grounding,
As we prepare to close,
Imagine the day before you opening up like a pathway,
Lit by the light of your own inner wisdom,
Whatever the day brings,
Remember,
You can return to this place of stillness at any time,
Your breath is always a doorway home into presence,
And taking one final deep inhalation,
And letting it go with a long spacious exhale,
When you're ready,
Begin to gently stretch out your fingers and your toes,
And softly blinking your eyes open,
Carrying your intention with you like a quiet prayer in your back pocket,
Reminding you that your day can unfold with tenderness,
With peace,
With presence,
And with grace,
Have a beautiful day,
And thank you for beginning your morning here with me.
