Explore MeditationBette Smith has been practicing meditation for thirty five years and it has become the most important self-care routine in her life. She has benefited so much from this practice that she began teaching meditation and mindfulness fifteen years ago. She recorded these guided meditations a few years ago to share with others who are looking for quiet refuge and a stable, calming voice. She teaches a semester length classes at Santa Rosa Junior College and workshops and classes at the Center for Spiritual Living, Santa Rosa. She also leads silent retreats in northern California. She has gained peace and equanimity through these turbulent times by spending time in meditation each day, whether it be in a guided meditation or with music or in silence. It helps her stay centered and grounded in all of her activities. She is a mother, grandmother, lifelong learner, poet, artist, public speaker, nature lover, and photographer.
