Hello,

And thanks for meditating with me.

This guided meditation is intended to help us slow down and focus on the breath.

NBA All-Star Steph Curry says,

If you train your mind,

The body will follow.

And so we begin with training our mind to follow the breath.

Settle in and find a comfortable position.

Take a long,

Deep breath to begin.

Sit up as tall as you can with shoulders relaxed.

With each breath,

Soften a little more.

Calm the face and the forehead.

Loosen the jaw and the shoulders.

Slow down the breathing and begin to let go.

Let go of anything that has come before this moment.

Allow any sounds to come and go easily.

Allow your mind and your heart to be open and be at peace in this present moment.

Allow for freedom,

Ease,

And letting go by slowing down the breath.

Focus on your breathing.

Be aware of the breath coming in and going out.

Observe where you notice the breath in your body.

Perhaps you notice your stomach rising and falling or your chest moving up and down.

Or you may notice the warm sensation of the breath on the upper lip.

Just notice the body breathing.

With this kind,

Gentle attention to the breath,

Notice where your mind is right now.

Become aware of where your thoughts have taken you.

Notice them and then let go.

As the body becomes silent and still,

The mind becomes more relaxed.

As the mind slows down,

Cares and worries fall away.

When I breathe slowly,

I become more peaceful.

My breath is with me all the time,

So I can slow down my thoughts anytime with the help of my breath.

Breathing slowly and focusing on the breath in the present moment is a gift I can give myself anytime during the day.

Just for these few moments,

I become aware of my thinking and allow my mind to rest and reset.

I give myself this blessing of peace.

I love taking care of myself and therefore I allow myself to slow down and relax my thinking.

As the thoughts slow down,

The mind becomes calm and serene.

Everything falls away freely and easily.

My mind rests in this calm and peace flows through my body,

Relaxing and stabilizing it.

My mind is at peace and my body is centered and peaceful.

This is a process I can repeat anytime on my own.

I can slow down my thoughts and feel the peace and calm.

With the mind rested,

I can create expansive thoughts.

With this time of reset,

I can flow easily with the many things I have going on in my life.

And when I rest my mind,

It has a calming effect on my body.

It helps my emotions by letting go for a time.

As we come to the end of this meditation,

We begin to bring our awareness back to the body.

Before opening our eyes,

We may want to just wiggle a little bit,

Fingers and toes first,

And then very slowly,

With attention,

Open your eyes.

Thank you for slowing down and meditating with me.
