Hello everyone.

Today I want to talk about self-compassion.

It's a topic that we often overlook in a world that encourages constant self-improvement.

Many of us are our own harshest critics.

We strive for perfection and often beat ourselves up when we fall short.

But what if we learned to treat ourselves with the same kindness that we offer to others,

To everyone else?

Self-compassion does not mean ignoring our own mistakes,

But it really means acknowledging them with understanding and with a sense of empathy.

Think of it as being your own best friend.

Why is this important?

First,

It reduces stress.

When we stop being so hard on ourselves,

We just feel more at peace.

Second,

It builds resilience,

Helping us bounce back more quickly from setbacks.

And thirdly,

It increases our happiness as we learn to appreciate ourselves.

So,

Ways to practice self-compassion include speaking to yourself kindly,

Reminding yourself of your strengths,

And allowing yourself to make mistakes.

Remember,

Kindness towards yourself isn't a luxury.

It's a total necessity for a fulfilling life.

Thank you.
