This meditation draws upon the Navajo story of Spider Woman, the sacred weaver who teaches that even when life’s web is torn, we can begin again — patiently, lovingly, one thread at a time. As you listen, you’ll explore the pain of loss with compassion, release what no longer serves you, and rediscover the quiet beauty that remains within your heart. Each breath becomes a thread of light, helping you weave a new pattern of peace, resilience, and love. By the end, you’ll feel grounded, comforted, and reminded that even in heartbreak, your spirit continues to create — to heal — to weave.

Hello,

This is Coach Tan,

And today we will be doing a meditation that will help us with healing after heartbreak.

The story that we'll be sharing is the weaving heart.

But first,

Let's find a comfortable place to sit or lie down.

Let your body begin to soften.

Your shoulders,

Your face,

Your hands.

Now close your eyes if it feels right.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale through your mouth.

With each breath,

Imagine you are breathing yourself back home.

To this moment,

To this breath,

To yourself.

Let the world outside fade away.

Right now,

There is only your breath and the soft rhythm of your heart.

Bring your attention to your heart.

To the space in your chest that feels tender,

Raw,

Or heavy.

Maybe it feels like something has been torn apart.

Like the threads of your life no longer hold together.

You don't need to change how it feels.

Just breathe gently into it.

Say to yourself,

It's okay to feel this way.

My heart is learning.

It is hurting.

It is learning how to mend.

Allow the ache to be there.

But also allow yourself to be the one who is holding it.

With patience,

Compassion,

And quiet strength.

Long ago,

The Navajo people tell of a sacred being called Spider Woman.

A wise grandmother who wove the first web of the world.

Every morning,

She would weave her web from the first rays of the sun.

Each thread glistening with light.

She wove stories of creation,

Love,

And healing into her web.

But one day,

As she worked,

The wind tore through the canyon and broke a part of her web.

Instead of crying out in despair,

Spider Woman sat quietly.

She placed her hands on the broken threads and whispered,

Ah,

The pattern.

Then she began to weave again.

Patiently,

Gently,

Weaving the torn places into something new.

Something even more beautiful than before.

And when the people came to her in sorrow with broken hearts,

By loss,

By love,

By life,

She would tell them,

You cannot control the wind,

But you can learn to weave again.

Let this story rest in your heart.

Your heart,

Too,

Is a web.

Delicate,

Strong,

Full of stories.

Sometimes love tears a hole in that web.

Sometimes we lose someone we thought would always be there.

But the truth is,

Your hands still know how to weave.

Each breath you take,

Each tear that falls,

Each moment you choose to keep going,

You are weaving again.

You are creating a new pattern,

One thread at a time.

With each inhale,

Imagine drawing in light,

Warm,

Golden,

Loving.

With each exhale,

Imagine that light weaving through your heart,

Mending the broken strands with compassion.

The pattern will look different now,

Yes,

But it will still be beautiful and it will still be yours.

Now,

Let's take a slow,

Deep breath in and release it softly.

Feel the ground beneath you,

The earth that holds you steady,

The same earth that once held the spider woman as she wove her web.

Whisper softly to yourself,

I am learning to weave again.

My heart is healing.

I am whole,

Even in my becoming.

Let these words settle inside you.

Let them become part of your new pattern,

Your body to your hands,

Your breath,

Your heartbeat.

You are alive.

You are still weaving.

You are still love.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes.

Carry with you the wisdom of the spider woman,

The knowing that even after heartbreak,

The threads of your life can come together again,

Stronger and more radiant than before.

You have enjoyed this meditation today.

Namaste.
