Starlin Astacio

Starlin "Starr" Astacio, PhD, LMFT (He, Him) is a dedicated professional in the field of couple and family therapy. As an AAMFT-approved supervisor, clinical fellow, and licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), he has established a thriving private practice, Astacio Wellness, providing systemic therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Starr proudly serves as a teaching fellow and clinical supervisor at Antioch University New England (AUNE). At AUNE, he teaches various courses, from the foundational MFT courses to providing invaluable clinical supervision to master's students enrolled in the Couple and Family Therapy (CFT) program. Dr. Starr also serves as a co-facilitator of the intensive sex therapy training at the University of Guelph in Canada. His clinical experience and passion for research, using evidence-based systemic practices such as internal family systems (IFS), have positioned him as a leading clinician providing sensitive and effective psychotherapy to many underrepresented populations.
