Hello,
I'm Jess Smith and welcome to Reflecting Positivity.
This self-affirmation practice is intended to be done looking at yourself in a mirror as you fill yourself with positivity,
But you are also welcome to close your eyes as you repeat these affirmations aloud or silently in your head and envision yourself receiving these positive words.
I will say each affirmation two times.
Join in on the second time.
Let's begin.

If this was your first time doing this practice,
It may have felt a little uncomfortable.
This is likely because the brain processes negative information faster than positive information,
But it is possible to retrain the brain to adopt more positive frames of reference and boost well-being with practices like this positivity reflection.
It can take time and practice to recondition the brain,
But this is completely possible because much like you,
The brain is capable of doing amazing things.
Doing this exercise in the mirror has added benefits.
Seeing and talking to yourself in the mirror can reinforce internal beliefs and attitudes.
So if this time you envisioned yourself receiving these positive words,
Try practicing it in the mirror next time.
Not only can this practice help improve your own way of thinking,
But can increase positivity of those around you as well,
Because just like a mirror,
Your positivity reflects onto others,
Inspiring them to shine with their own light.
Thank you for joining me today for this practice.
With peace and light,
I wish you a day as amazing as you are.
