Hi,

Welcome to another Guided Catholic Healing Meditation.

Today we will be using healing stories from the scriptures,

Quoted from the Dewey Rhymes Chelaner version,

As a part of the Healing from the Scriptures series.

Again,

As a disclaimer,

I am not interpreting the holy scriptures,

And I only use these wonderful stories for guided meditation.

God is our healer then,

Now,

And always,

And truly nothing is impossible when we ask in Jesus' name.

1.

Prepare yourself by being in a comfortable position.

You may sit,

Walk,

Stand,

Or even lay down.

If you happen to fall asleep during this meditation,

Do not worry,

Be glad that your body is able to relax.

2.

Sleep is a part of our total healing.

And you may always,

Always come back to this audio at a later time.

Today's story is about the leaping man from Acts 3.

The miracle upon the lame man followed by the conversion of many.

Now Peter and John went up into the temple at the ninth hour of prayer.

And a certain man who was lame from his mother's womb was carried,

Whom they laid every day at the gate of the temple,

Which is called Beautiful,

That he might ask alms of them that went into the temple.

He,

When he had seen Peter and John about to go into the temple,

Asked to receive an alms.

But Peter,

With John fastening his eyes upon him,

Said,

Look upon us.

But he looked earnestly upon them,

Hoping that he should receive something of them.

But Peter said,

Silver and gold I have none,

But what I have I give thee.

What I have I give thee.

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth,

Arise and walk.

And taking him by the right hand,

He lifted him up and forthwith.

His feet and soles received strength.

And he leaping up stood and walked and went in with them into the temple,

Walking and leaping and praising God.

And all the people saw him walking and praising God.

And they knew him,

That it was he who sat begging alms at the beautiful gate of the temple.

And they were filled with wonder and amazement at what which had happened to him.

And as he held Peter and John,

All the people ran to them to the porch,

Which is called Solomon's,

Greatly wondering.

But Peter seeing made answer to the people.

Yeah,

Man of Israel,

Why wonder you at this?

Or why look upon us if by your strength or power we had made this man to walk?

The God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob and God of our fathers have glorified his son Jesus,

Whom you indeed delivered up and denied before the face of Pilate.

When he judged,

He should be released.

But you denied the Holy One and the just and desired a murderer to be granted unto you.

But the author of life you killed,

Whom God hath raised from the dead,

Of which we are witnesses.

And in the faith of his name,

This man whom you have seen and known,

Hath his name strengthened.

And the faith which is by him hath given this perfect soundness in the sight of you all.

And now,

Brethren,

I know you did it through ignorance as did also your rulers.

But those things which God before had shooed by the mouth of all the prophets,

That is Christ should suffer,

He hath so fulfilled.

Be penitent,

Therefore,

And be converted,

That your sins may be blotted out.

That when the times of refreshment shall come from the presence of the Lord,

And he shall send him who hath been preached unto you,

Jesus Christ.

For consideration,

Peter and John were about to go to the temple.

When a lame man from birth asked for alms.

Imagine this man in the New Testament setting.

What does he look like?

Did he have a happy disposition or a face of hopelessness and acceptance of his unfortunate fate?

But instead of food,

Water,

Silver,

And gold,

Peter gave him something he never thought was possible in his lifetime.

Silver and gold I have none,

But what I have I give thee.

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth,

Arise and walk.

What exactly was it that Peter gave him?

The gift of healing or the gift of faith in Jesus Christ?

The man was finally able to walk and started leaping.

Imagine his face beaming with joy.

Imagine his happiness and relief.

How were the people around him reacting to the miracle?

Why is everyone smiling,

Shouting in praises and amusement?

Now,

It is time for us to ask ourselves this question.

Now,

It is time to begin your conversation with Christ.

You may sit in silence or talk to Jesus in your own words.

Tell him how you feel about this miracle.

You may talk about your feelings here.

Because it is in our conversation with Christ that we are able to be fully vulnerable.

Christ wants to hear your thoughts and he wants you to address him like a friend.

Lord,

Thank you because unlike the people who delivered thee to thy death,

Thou did not make me ignorant.

Thou has blessed me with the knowledge of thee and the Holy Mother Church.

You have given me several ways to reach you,

Including the intercession of your own mother,

The Blessed Virgin Mary,

And all the saints who are now beholding thee in heaven.

With all this knowledge and tools at my disposal,

I dare not waste every opportunity to knock on your heart for my intention today,

My own healing.

I know that like the man who was lame from his mother's womb,

I can stand,

Walk,

And leap to my most optimal health.

I adore thee,

O Christ,

And I love thee.

My soul is grateful for the many ways I could speak to thee.

Thank you for this precious time I am having with you.

I am about to leave this conversation,

But my heart and mind are yours now and forever.

You may now open your eyes and come back to the world.

May this conversation and meditation with our Lord fill your day or night with hope and healing.

You are loved,

You are prayed for,

And God bless you.

You are loved,

You are prayed for,

And God bless you.
