As you prepare for sleep,

Take a deep breath in and then slowly let it out.

Let your shoulders relax.

Let your thoughts settle.

This is your time to rest.

Let's end the day in prayer.

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for being with me today.

Even when things felt heavy or uncertain,

Your presence never left my side.

Tonight,

I release my worries to you.

I lay down every burden,

Every fear,

Every anxious thought.

Your word says you give sleep to those you love.

So I receive your peace now.

Cover me with your protection,

Lord.

May Jesus watch over me and those I love.

Speak to my heart as I sleep and fill my dreams with your goodness and truth.

Renew my mind,

Restore my body,

Refresh my soul.

And as I close my eyes,

I rest in the shelter of your love.

Thank you for the gift of sleep.

Thank you that I do not need to strive.

I can simply rest in you.

I trust you.

I love you.

And I surrender this night to your care.
