Gently settle into your seat,

Finding a comfortable posture.

Allow your spine to lengthen,

Shoulders to relax,

And arms to rest gently.

Close your eyes if it feels comfortable,

Or soften your gaze.

Take a few deep breaths,

Inhaling slowly and exhaling completely.

Each exhale releases any tension you may be holding,

Leaving you open and receptive.

Inhale.

On the inhale,

Consider your idea of confidence.

Take a moment to think of something you excel at.

Allow yourself to picture yourself doing that activity.

See if you can generate a smile on your face.

Consider how confident you feel in that part of your life.

On the exhale,

Imagine that you are exhaling doubt.

Think of doubt as something you just don't need right now.

It's not bad,

It's just not necessary.

You can thank doubt for their concern and tell them to be on their way.

On the inhale,

Picture yourself in that confident situation.

Imagine yourself performing this activity that you have mastered.

Think about how this activity either helps yourself or others.

Try to harness a visual that helps you really feel that confidence within you.

Maybe you are a wonderful parent,

Sibling,

Partner,

Employee,

Artist,

Athlete,

Cook,

Or anything else.

You choose what to focus on,

But try and picture confidence being in the air,

And each time you inhale,

Your confidence increases.

Let that feeling of confidence settle into you.

How can you improve your life with this skill?

How can you help others with this skill?

On the exhale,

Imagine again that you are exhaling doubt.

You need doubt sometimes to keep yourself safe,

But right now we just don't need it.

We are focusing on confidence.

That doubt can take a hike for now.

Feel yourself get just a little bit lighter as the doubt exits your body.

On the inhale,

Feel that confidence within you.

Now consider for a moment that you probably had to work pretty hard at that thing you're confident in now.

That's okay.

We do things and we get better and better at them.

That's how it works.

Practice allows us to improve.

If there is something that you have been wanting to do,

But you've lacked the confidence,

Now is the time to consider that each time you try this new activity,

You will likely be just a tiny bit better than the last time you did it.

All those tiny improvements are cumulative.

They all add up and they will contribute to you eventually being very confident in this new venture.

Now,

Imagine how you can help both yourself and others with this newfound skill.

Embrace the feeling of confidence you will possess upon mastering this new skill.

Feel that confidence inside of you.

Imagine how you can help others with your new skills.

On the exhale,

Imagine that doubt as a person,

Wave goodbye to them and wish them well.
