Welcome to this Indigo Alchemy meditation,
Resting with the Unknown.
Before we begin,
You may want to set a gentle alarm if you need to wake at a certain time.
Once this meditation ends,
You are welcome to simply drift into sleep.
This meditation is designed to gently guide you into sleep while helping you build a new relationship with fear and uncertainty.
Instead of pushing uncontrollable feelings away or distracting yourself,
You'll be invited to notice them with softness and curiosity,
Allowing the body and mind to settle naturally.
Through guided awareness and deep rest,
You may find even brief moments of turning toward anxiety can lessen its intensity and quiet the mental noise.
There's nothing to solve here,
Just an opportunity to rest,
Release,
And drift peacefully into sleep.
Let's begin.
Now settle into a comfortable position.
Allow your body to rest in a way that feels supported.
You may lie on your back or curl onto your side.
Adjust your blankets or pillows if you need to.
Just let your body know it can relax here.
Nothing is required of you for the next little while.
Just rest.
Take a slow breath in through your nose and hold it just for a moment and exhale slowly through your mouth.
Again,
Breathing in gently and letting the breath fall out naturally.
One last time,
Breathing in,
Allowing the chest to expand,
And breathing out,
Letting the body soften.
Allow your breathing to slow into an easy rhythm,
Not forced,
Not controlled,
Just natural.
Breathing in and breathing out,
Breathing in and breathing out.
And with each exhale,
Imagine the day loosening its grip on your body.
The conversations,
The news,
The unanswered questions,
All of it can wait.
Take another slow breath in and a longer,
Softer breath out.
This practice is not about pushing fear away.
It's about something quieter and surprisingly powerful.
Learning how to sit gently beside the things that feel uncertain.
Many of us have learned that when anxiety appears,
We should escape it.
We scroll.
We distract.
We fill every quiet moment with noise.
But fear often grows stronger when we run from it.
And something very different happens when we pause,
Turn toward it,
And simply breathe.
So tonight,
You are not fighting fear.
You are learning to sit beside it with calm and steady presence.
Take a deeper breath in now,
Letting the breath fill your chest.
And slowly exhale as if you are sighing the weight of the day out of your body.
Again,
Breathing in deeply and breathing out,
Letting your shoulders drop.
Notice where your body touches the surface beneath you.
Your heels resting.
The backs of your legs warm.
Your hips sinking into the mattress or cushion.
Your back supported.
Your shoulders heavy.
Your arms resting easily.
Your jaw unclenched.
Your brow smooth.
Take another slow breath in.
And as you exhale,
Allow your body to sink just a little bit deeper,
As if gravity is gently pulling you toward rest.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Now bring your awareness inward.
Somewhere inside you tonight,
There may be uncertainty.
Maybe about the world.
Maybe about something personal.
Maybe about something you cannot yet solve.
Just notice what is present.
You don't have to analyze it.
Just acknowledge it.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Slowly and comfortably.
Fear often tries to convince us we're facing it completely on our own.
But right now,
You are not alone.
You are meeting your fear with steady awareness.
And awareness is powerful.
Take a breath in.
And imagine breathing directly into the center of your chest,
Your heart space.
And as you exhale,
Imagine creating a space around whatever feeling is there.
Not pushing it away.
Just making room for it to exist.
Again,
Breathing in.
Gently filling the chest.
And breathing out,
Softening around the feeling.
You may silently say to yourself,
It's okay that this is here.
Fear is a natural response to uncertainty.
Your mind is trying to protect you.
But tonight,
You don't need to solve,
Fix,
Or figure anything out.
You only need to breathe.
Take another slow breath in.
Feeling your belly rise.
And a long,
Steady breath out.
Letting the belly soften.
Notice what happens when you allow the feeling to exist for just a moment.
Sometimes,
When we stop resisting an emotion,
Its intensity begins to fade.
Like a wave that rises and slowly falls.
You are not the wave.
You are the ocean holding it.
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
Now imagine your awareness is like a soft lantern light.
Warm.
Steady.
Gentle.
This lantern light shines softly on whatever you are feeling.
Not to fix it.
Not to judge it.
Just to see it clearly.
As the light rests there,
You may notice something subtle.
Fear begins to loosen when it is seen with kindness.
Take another slow breath in.
And imagine the breath flowing through any tightness in your body.
Maybe in your chest.
Maybe in your stomach.
Maybe in your throat.
And as you breathe out,
Let those places soften just a little bit more.
You are not trapped inside this feeling.
You are simply witnessing it.
And feelings,
Even strong ones,
Move.
They shift.
They pass.
Take another deep breath in.
And gently release it slowly.
Let your shoulders grow heavier.
Your legs heavier.
Your body is sinking into a deep rest.
Now imagine a deep indigo light surrounding you.
A soft,
Quiet glow.
Indigo,
A light,
Warm color of purple.
The color of calm awareness.
The color of night.
The color of deep stillness.
Indigo represents wisdom,
Intuition,
And deep spiritual awareness.
With each breath in,
Let this indigo light spread gently through your body.
Across your forehead.
Behind your eyes.
Down through your throat.
And into your chest.
Your belly.
Your hips.
Your legs.
All the way to your feet.
Where this indigo light touches,
Your body relaxes.
Where it spreads,
The mind quiets.
Take another slow breath in.
And imagine breathing in that indigo calm.
And as you exhale,
Allow any lingering worry to dissolve into the space around you.
Breathe in calm.
Breathe out tension.
You do not need to prepare for every possible future tonight.
You do not need to figure everything out before sleep.
Right now,
Your only task is to rest.
Fear loses its strength when it is met with presence.
And tonight,
You have met it with breath.
With awareness.
And with quiet courage.
Take another slow breath in.
And exhale even more slowly.
Let your breath become softer,
Lighter,
Almost effortless.
Your body is now remembering how to rest.
Your mind is drifting further away from the noise of the day.
And if thoughts appear,
Let them float by like distant clouds.
Nothing to chase.
Nothing to hold.
Just drifting.
Take another slow breath in.
Your breath steady.
Your body heavy.
Your awareness is resting in the quiet indigo space around you.
And as sleep begins to draw closer,
Remember this.
You are larger than fear.
Larger than uncertainty.
Emotions move through you,
But they do not define you.
Tonight,
You allowed them to exist.
And in doing so,
You loosened their hold.
Now the body can rest.
Your mind can soften.
And sleep can come naturally.
Let the breath grow slow and gentle.
Let your body sink deeper.
And allow yourself to drift quietly into sleep.
Held by the steady rhythm of your breathing.
Resting deeper and deeper into the calm of the night.
Something wiser,
Steadier,
More deeply rooted has begun.
Let that quiet inner knowing carry you now.
Let it hold you as you gently release fear,
Uncertainty,
And the weight of the unknown.
Trust this gentle release continues even as you sleep.
Quietly loosening the grip of fear.
Softening the edges of uncertainty.
And easing the weight of what is unknown.
Softly,
Gently,
Unwinding what you have been holding for too long.
There by there,
Breath by breath,
Returning you to a deeper place of ease,
Of safety,
Of quiet inner steadiness.
Again and again.
And now,
There is nothing left to carry.
Just rest.
