Hi friend,
You found a moment,
And that is enough.
I don't know what your day has been,
But you're here,
Which means something needed to pause.
And realizing this,
Taking action on it,
Is one of the deepest forms of strength there is.
So let's use these few minutes well.
Gently close down your eyes,
Or find a soft gaze.
Take a breath,
Slow,
Soft,
In through the nose.
And a long,
Gentle breath out through your mouth.
Let your body hear it,
Let it know we're pausing.
Take another breath,
In through the nose,
Gently.
And a soft,
Long,
Slow breath out,
Letting it go.
One more,
Gentle breath in.
And a longer,
Gentle breath out.
Let something more soften.
Feel into your body,
Notice where you're holding tension.
The jaw,
Shoulders,
Chest,
Your belly.
Just notice,
And if one thing can soften,
Let it.
Now feel your feet on the ground.
Feel your weight in your seat,
Or in your legs if you're standing.
You're here,
In this body,
In this room,
Not in what happened,
Not in what's coming,
Here.
Gently,
Press your feet down into the earth,
Into the ground beneath you.
Feel yourself held,
Supported.
Allow that steadiness rise up into your body,
Into your heart,
With each inhale.
And with each exhale,
Soften even further.
Take another breath here.
Take one more breath,
In through your nose.
And slow exhale out,
Longer than the inhale.
You don't have to solve everything before you go back.
You don't have to feel perfect.
You don't have to have it figured out.
You just have to take the next step,
One step,
That's all.
So,
Feet on the ground,
Supported,
Held.
Breath in your lungs.
You're here,
And that is enough.
Now,
Gently,
Begin to return to the space that you're in.
And with a deep presence in your breath,
Gently,
Begin to blink open your eyes.
Return to this practice whenever you need.
Sending warmth,
Sending steadiness.
