Welcome friends.

In this meditation we'll take a moment to appreciate the small joys that often go unnoticed,

Cultivating a deeper sense of gratitude for the simple gifts of life.

Find a comfortable position either sitting or lying down.

Close your eyes gently or simply soften your gaze.

Bring your attention to your breath.

Notice a gentle rise and fall of your chest or belly without trying to change it.

With each inhale imagine you're breathing in a sense of calm and safety.

With each exhale release tension and worry.

Now begin to notice the sensations around you.

Perhaps you can hear the sound of birds singing outside or the gentle hum of your refrigerator.

Take note of sounds in the distance like passing cars or motors running.

Feel the air on your skin,

The texture of your clothing against your body,

Maybe the warmth of Sun on your face.

Notice any smells that are present,

The aroma of your morning coffee,

The scent of fabric softener from your clothes,

Or the earthy fragrance of the outdoors.

Take a few moments to simply observe these everyday sensations without judgment.

Let them fill your awareness.

Bring to mind a few simple pleasures that you enjoy in your daily life.

The warmth of a cup of tea in your hands,

The sight of the morning sunlight streaming in,

The sound of a loved one's laughter,

The taste of your favorite fruit or vegetable,

The beauty of a garden or tree in your neighborhood.

Allow yourself to savor these small moments of goodness appreciating the simple gifts that are always available to us.

Extend your gratitude to the earth for providing us with so many simple pleasures,

For the Sun that nourishes our bodies,

The water that quenches our thirst,

The soil that sustains all of our sources of food.

Imagine this web of provision that supports you here.

Acknowledge the resources that we often take for granted,

The oxygen we breathe,

The food we eat,

The food we eat,

The shelter that protects us from rain and storms.

Express your appreciation for the interconnectedness of all things,

Knowing that we are all part of something bigger than ourselves here.

Repeat after me either silently or aloud,

I am grateful for the simple joys in my life.

I appreciate the abundance that surrounds me.

I choose to focus on provision and gratitude.

I am thankful for this earth and its many gifts.

Consider that every small act of appreciation has a ripple effect across your whole life.

Consider that you giving thanks have a ripple effect across the whole earth.

Thank you for joining me today.

May you carry this sense of gratitude with you throughout your day.

May you appreciate every small joy as it comes and may you feel deeply provided for.
