Welcome to this series of Reflection Tracks.

In this series,

I'll talk about sleep in a different way and create space for insight and reflection for you so that you can see something new.

Believe me,

I understand how debilitating lack of sleep can be and I want you to know there is a way through because a quiet mind is your default state.

So make yourself a little more comfortable.

Leave everything behind.

Let go of expectations.

Let go of judgement.

There's nowhere to go.

Know where you need to be.

Allow yourself the gift of these few moments.

If you feel comfortable to do so,

Close your eyes or lower your gaze.

Let your breathing fall into a deep rhythmic pattern.

There's nothing to attend to.

Nothing to do.

Nowhere to be.

Sleep is a reflection of your inner state.

Harmonise your mind and spirit for restful slumber.

As you settle into this time of reflection,

Let the quotes gently resonate with you.

Sleep is a reflection of your inner state.

Harmonise your mind and spirit for restful slumber.

Allow the words to flow to your mind and permeate your thoughts and find a place within your heart.

What does this quote mean to you?

How do you interpret the idea that your sleep is a reflection of your inner state?

Take a moment to consider this,

Letting your thoughts flow freely.

Now turn your attention to your feelings.

How does this quote make you feel?

Are there emotions that arise as you contemplate the connection between your inner harmony and your sleep?

Embrace these feelings without judgement,

Simply by acknowledging their presence.

Where in your life do you find this quote to be true?

Can you identify moments when your inner state has impacted your sleep,

Either positively or negatively?

Reflect on these instances,

Noticing any patterns or insights that emerge.

Consider any resistance you may have to this idea.

Is there a part of you that doubts the connection between your mental and emotional state and your quality of sleep?

Or perhaps you feel resistance to the concept of harmonising your mind and spirit.

Whatever resistance you notice,

Acknowledge it with compassion.

If it pleases you,

Take a moment to journal your thoughts and feelings.

Writing can be a powerful tool for deepening your understanding and uncovering new insights.

It's also valid just to relax and take a moment to listen to the music.

Our aim is towards a quieter mind.

Let me give you some time to write and reflect.

Let me share a personal story with you.

There was a time when my sleep got disrupted constantly.

I'd wake up at the drop of a hat and then I couldn't go back to sleep.

Or I'd fall asleep and then wake up after 20 minutes.

It felt like the weight of the world was on my mind and nothing I did made any difference.

And then one day I realised that I wasn't allowing myself enough rest in the rest of my life.

That I would push through all day long.

I'd push myself to get up early.

I'd push myself to keep going.

And then I'd want to spend time in the evening watching shows or playing games on my iPad.

So my mind never felt harmonised with my spirit who knew I wanted rest.

When I realised this I started to rest more deeply.

I started to take time out during the day.

And I started to appreciate sleep more.

Take a moment to reflect on this story and consider if it changes your perspective on the quote.

Do you see the connection between your inner state and your sleep differently now?

Take a few moments to sit with this reflection.

Please don't worry if you can't see anything new right now.

You've already opened your mind to new possibilities and insight will follow in time.

If you feel called to go deeper into this practice consider exploring my course Awakening Intuition for Busy People.

Listening to this can help you tune into your inner guide and recognise when you need to rest.

By cultivating this awareness you can achieve the peaceful mind that leads to peaceful sleep.

The course will help you to nurture your inner tranquility even amidst a busy life.

As we conclude our reflections together carry with you the insights you've gained.

Remember that your sleep is a reflection of your inner state.

So by harmonising your mind and spirit you can achieve the restful slumber you deserve.

Lots of love.
