The Heroine’s Journey is more reflective and characterised by a reconciliation between the inner and outer worlds. It emphasises healing and integrating polarities, such as masculine and feminine. We will describe in this track the 7 stages of this beautiful journey. The Heroine’s Journey centres on the exploration and integration of the self, emphasizing the importance of reconnecting with inner power and previously rejected aspects of identity. There are deep reasons why the creation of a distinct "Heroine’s Journey" became necessary, separate from the "Hero’s Journey." I hope you will enjoy it.

Hello everybody and welcome.

This is the continuation,

The part two,

About masculine and feminine energy,

Specifically about the heroine's journey.

So today we are going to face and explore the seven different stages of the heroine's journey and how those stages can help us in our own life to understand where we are in the process and help us to embody our role and our real role in this society.

Unfortunately,

A lot of women have been pushed to be like men and emulate men and follow the hero's journey,

But the truth is that we are not men and we have our own journey to follow.

So let's start.

So the first step of the journey is the separation from the feminine.

Due to societal and familiar pressures,

The heroine no longer recognizes herself.

Her true feminine qualities,

Such intuition,

Creativity,

Sensuality,

Nurturing,

Empathy,

Emotional,

Cycling nature,

Are not appreciated in her environment,

So she repress them.

These traits are not valued,

So she tries to assert herself in a world dominated by masculine values such as professional success,

Autonomy,

Power,

And so on.

In this journey,

The heroine is looking at herself in a confused way.

She can feel that the way she is is not really accepted and not really valued.

In the second stage,

We have the identification with the masculine and achievement through external success.

The heroine,

Because she cannot recognize herself and she's confused about herself,

She adopts a new way of living.

She chooses to shield herself and be recognized as a masculine dominant identity,

Because she thinks that is the only way.

She emulates masculine behaviors to achieve success and seek external validation and external achievements like career,

Power,

Money,

To gain recognition and acceptance.

The heroine also has her own dragons to defeat,

Venturing into the labyrinth to find herself at the center.

At this point in the journey,

She thrives for grand victories to prove her worth to others,

Losing sight of her inner self.

She focuses on achieving an idea of success that makes her feel valued for what she accomplishes,

Not for simply being who she is.

In the third step,

She has a spiritual crisis.

Never satisfied with her victories,

The heroine continues to pursue new endeavors to gain external approval and recognition.

Despite all her external success that she can accumulate,

At a certain point she feels a deep inner void,

A sense of total disconnection from herself and the world.

She looks in the mirror but doesn't recognize herself.

The crisis and the real test of success begins with one question.

What is all this for?

What do I truly get from everything I chase?

Am I satisfied?

Am I happy?

And when the answer is no,

She wonders why am I expending all my energy to do something and achieve something that in the end doesn't make me happy or fulfilled?

Those questions push her to go in her personal hell,

In her personal underworld,

A journey marked by multiple symbolic deaths where she must repeatedly let go of the persona she was conditioned to be to discover her true self.

In the physical reality,

In the practicality,

This crisis manifests with personal or emotional crisis,

Things that happen in her immediate environment.

It's a time in which everything crumbles.

The heroine thought that she was doing good,

That she was doing what she was told to do,

Or she was doing things because she was conditioned to do them in a certain modality,

In a certain way.

The way she was behaving in the world was a very masculine way and after a while all her achievements doesn't satisfy her anymore and everything that she does,

It's not satisfying anymore and she will face many metaphorical deaths because she has to die or what she thought she was has to die in order to peel the layer and find who she really is.

In the fourth step,

She starts to descend into the feminine.

The heroine begins to recognize and heal her emotional wounds,

Often repressed or ignored until now.

It's a very painful phase where she confronts vulnerability,

Sadness and anger,

Releasing old narratives and old beliefs that were never hers to begin with.

This descent is necessary to integrate the part of herself that had been denied.

After multiple descents into the underworld,

She explores her unconscious,

Reconnecting with her intuitive and mystical side.

This awakens her ability to feel and embrace not only her inner wisdom but also the wild,

Repressed energy within her,

The dark goddess.

In the fifth step,

We encounter the goddess finally.

The heroine now has only one certainty,

Which is she doesn't know who she is and in this place she gets criticized,

She gets labeled as cowardly,

Selfish,

Impulsive and overly emotional.

She is labeled with all the traits that the masculine despises in the feminine,

But here she enters a period of voluntary isolation to recover herself.

The heroine must face her shadow,

An archetype that reveals to her what she truly needs and teach her to be rather than to do.

The goddess connects her with the most powerful feminine energy,

Mother Earth.

The goddess whispers to her to disconnect from the false illusion of the world and reconnect with her peace,

Her vastness and her cyclicality.

Mother Nature helps her awaken the true qualities of the feminine like compassion and love but also darker aspects such as death,

Transformations,

Chaos and divine rage.

In her darkest hours is the goddess who reveals the truth about herself and the power of the feminine.

In this stage,

When the heroines meet the goddess,

It's a stage in which she is at her lowest,

She is isolating herself,

She is being called,

Named and labeled by others,

She has a finger pointing at her and she is fighting to discover who she is and she is surrounded by chaos and rage and sadness for all that was pushed into her,

All that was conditioned onto her.

She basically has been living a life with a costume,

So she is facing hell right now and at her lowest moment she closes her eyes and she disconnects from the mind and she connects with her womb,

With her belly,

With her visceral and she connects with the goddess.

And the goddess will make her see all that she needs to see.

The sixth stage is the reconciliation with the feminine.

Finally,

The heroine feels that she can make peace with her feminine self from which she had been separated at the start of the journey.

She is aware of her values now,

She discovers feminine traits she once considered weak and now she sees them in a new light.

She nurtures her inner child and focuses on creative work and activities that allow her to feel connected in her mind,

Body and spirit.

In this stage she learns that everything that she repressed and everything that is characteristic of feminine traits is something to be proud of and is something that needs attention,

Focus and care daily.

She finally feels that she can embody who she really is with no shame and her entire life starts to revolve around creating work and activities that make her feel connected not only to her mind,

Body and spirit but connected to the bigger picture,

Connected to the world.

She has a calling now,

She's answering to the calling but she's answering to the real calling,

Not the conditioned calling.

She's finally answering to her deepest call.

And finally,

The last stage,

The return home.

Returning home to the feminine energy involves reconciling with the masculine.

It's not about hating or regretting her immersion in the masculine world but understanding that it was part of the plan to return home.

The heroine made peace with the masculine energy which supported her during her lost phase but could not provide the tools she needed to fully be herself.

Now she has a new perspective on the world and herself,

No longer the person she was and herself,

No longer egocentric or self-centered,

Not only driven by her masculine energy.

Now she feels whole and complete.

She feels connected to the world,

To the people,

To her shadows and to her light.

And finally,

She can embrace her true identity without bitterness for what has passed.

After integrating both the feminine and the masculine within herself,

The heroine's return to her daily life with a newfound awareness and balance.

In the end of the journey,

The feminines make peace with the masculine,

The feminine understands that for her own sake,

She needs both energies but she will not repress one of them,

She will not rely only to one of them,

She will rely on both of them.

But she understands that she has a fluid nature,

She has to integrate one and the other,

She needs to follow her intuition,

She needs to follow her cycles,

She needs to follow her rhythm.

And now she knows who she really is,

What is really valuable for her,

What she values about herself.

She's a goddess now,

She's not a warrior anymore,

She's not a fighter anymore,

She's a goddess now.

She lay down the sword,

She pick up the crown and she walk in the planet and she walk along her journey with a very different essence,

A very different awareness.

She's connected with nature,

Her intuition,

Her wisdom,

She is not trying to be something that she's not anymore.

So I hope that this little story was interesting,

Let me know if you have any questions,

Let me know if you recognize yourself in any of the stages,

Let me know if you need help with anything,

I'm here,

Namaste.

That was more then interesting, it was brilliant. I am 69 and I was totally sucked into a cultural idea that 'we can do and have it all'. So much BS. I didn't realize these past years I was going through the phases you so well described to shed these burdens from my life. It's been a long and difficult journey toward myself. The Goddess! I love it, love it More women need to hear your message so they understand why they are suffering.
