As each year concludes,
It does not signify an end or a beginning,
But rather a transition.
What is the definition of leaving something behind?
It refers to departing from a location without bringing along someone or something.
At times,
Our strong emotional connection to things can make it difficult to part ways,
Causing deep sadness.
It is often claimed that individuals struggle to release their pain,
Opting for the comfort of familiar suffering over the uncertainty of the unfamiliar.
My darling,
Growth can only be attained through discomfort.
Everything you have accomplished has been challenging,
Yet once you completed it,
Reflect on the emotions you experienced.
Find a spot or place that makes you feel comfortable before proceeding.
If you prefer,
Keep a pen and paper nearby to write down any thoughts or ideals that arise during or after.
Whether you choose to close your eyes or keep them open is up to you.
Take a few deep breaths at your preferred pace to help you relax and slow down your breathing.
I find lists beneficial for remembering tasks on a daily basis,
But when it comes to resolutions,
They tend to make me feel like a failure if I don't accomplish them by the end of the year.
I dwell on what I didn't achieve and overlook the many other accomplishments that were not even on the list.
Feeling guilty about not completing resolutions or constantly criticizing oneself for not fulfilling tasks on a list can be discouraging.
Despite not checking off every item,
It is important to acknowledge the accomplishments made and not consider it as a failure.
Maybe it is a common challenge that is easily overlooked in daily life.
Wilder writes,
Sometimes we break ourselves to leave behind the pieces that were never ours to carry.
Perhaps the list you had wasn't aligned with your true needs.
So right now,
Let's all imagine breaking that list apart and then scattering it like glitter in the air,
Celebrating the fact that you don't have to adhere to what was written.
Sometimes the unwritten holds the best possibilities.
Which items from that list are you releasing as the glitter from it fills the air?
These are the things I abandon in 2023.
The anxiety of not succeeding,
Losing concentration,
Feeling inadequate,
Rushing into choices,
Unrealistic physical ideals,
Overanalyzing,
Lacking self-confidence,
Believing success has a certain appearance,
Concern with others' opinions,
Lack of self-belief,
Negative body perception,
Striving for perfection,
Putting on a facade of happiness,
Societal demands,
Negative influences from friends or family.
Darling,
Not only is that glitter stunning,
But so are you.
It's truly enchanting to witness how something that once appeared gloomy can bring sparkle into your life.
Allow that shimmer to touch your skin and embrace the renewed sense of self that it brings,
Making you radiant.
Embrace this newfound inner glow,
My darling,
And let it infuse every breath you take.
Pay attention to the glistening as you inhale and exhale.
In 2024,
My objective is to free myself from guilt regarding unfinished tasks or unaccomplished goals,
And instead focus on assisting others in achieving the same.
It would bring me great satisfaction if I could bring solace to even a single individual by sharing my hopeful message.
I hope that in 2024,
You will practice mindfulness and experience your best year in terms of mental health.
Once you feel prepared,
Take a deep breath and allow your eyes to slowly open and observe the brilliance you have generated within yourself.
Keep in mind that your value is not dictated by any checklist.
Consider leaving the page empty and discover fresh methods to occupy it.
