Welcome to Quiet Bloom.
This is a gentle space for rest,
Stillness,
And self-care.
You don't need any experience and there's nothing you need to do right.
You are invited to get comfortable in whatever way feels supportive for you.
Sitting,
Lying down,
Or simply pausing wherever you are.
If at any point you need to adjust or take a break,
Please do.
This time is for you.
When you're ready,
Let's begin.
Before you step into your day,
Let's just take a few moments to settle into the body.
Let yourself land wherever you are today and feel the weight of your body.
Notice the pull of gravity on your bones and your muscles and the steadiness underneath and around you.
Take a slow breath in through your nose and let it go gently.
Again,
Inhale,
Filling your lungs,
And exhale,
Softening in your body and in your mind.
Inhale,
Filling up,
And exhale,
Letting go.
Allow your breathing to return to its natural rhythm.
Now bring awareness to your body and the points of contact it is making around you.
Notice your feet on the floor,
Notice your back against a chair or your bed or your couch,
And notice your head resting on a pillow or held high between your shoulders.
Notice how you are supported.
Bring awareness to your hands,
Maybe they're at your side or resting in your lap,
And notice if they're holding any tension.
Tension from long days at work,
Typing,
Texting,
Caring for the people around you and caring for yourself.
Take a big inhale as you stretch your fingers wide,
And on your exhale,
Allow your hands to feel relaxed,
Letting go of any gripping,
Letting go of any muscle activation.
Maybe you notice your hands as your arms hang heavy at either side of you.
Maybe you ground your hands,
Placing them on your belly or your heart.
Bring up the length of your arms all the way up to your shoulders.
On your next inhale,
Draw your shoulders up towards your ears,
And on your exhale,
Gently pull them away and down your spine.
Bring your awareness to your head and face as you take a moment to unclench your jaw.
Soften the muscles of your face,
Your cheeks.
Allow your eyes to feel heavy.
Soften your brow.
Take an easy breath in and an easy breath out.
As you sit or stand or lay here,
I invite you to consider this.
A good day doesn't have to be big.
It doesn't have to be bold or showy.
It doesn't have to be impressive.
A good day can simply be steady.
A good day for you might mean responding instead of reacting.
It might mean taking things moment by moment and giving yourself space to pause.
As you breathe here,
Ask yourself quietly,
What would make today feel safe,
Feel steady?
Maybe it's patience for yourself or others.
Maybe it's kindness and compassion.
Maybe it's focus and creativity.
Whatever it is,
Allow that intention,
That need within you for a slow,
Steady day to rest gently.
Take an inhale and a big exhale.
Notice how your body feels.
Notice the breath.
Invite some movements to your fingers and your toes as you bring awareness to the support around you.
As you bring awareness back to your body,
When you're ready,
Crack open your eyes and know that you are able to step into your day grounded and steady.
And that's enough.
Thank you for spending this time with me and for taking such care of yourself.
You are always welcome back at Quiet Bloom.
