So why do we look back now at this time to ancient Egypt as a model for sacred union,

Divine union in the world today?

So today I want to talk to you a little bit about the myth,

The story of imbalance.

So the myth begins with Osiris ruling Egypt harmoniously with his wife and sister Isis.

This perfect order,

Also known as Marte,

Is shattered by their jealous brother Set,

Who murders Osiris,

Dismembers his body and scatters the pieces across Egypt.

This act of chaos plunges the world into a state of disorder.

Isis restores harmony.

Isis represents the power of dedication and magic.

She restores the broken harmony.

And she searches tirelessly across the land to collect the scattered pieces of her beloved.

With the help of other deities,

She reassembles and resurrects Osiris,

Making him the ruler of the underworld.

She also conceives and protects their son Horus,

Who eventually defeats Set to restore the proper kingship on Earth.

The lessons from the myth.

The myth's profound message for Egyptians was not about a perfect harmony,

But about the conscious effort required to restore and maintain order against the constant threat of chaos.

They teach us about the cycle of life,

Death and resurrection.

The myth teaches us that death is not the end,

But a transition,

A doorway to another phase of an eternal journey.

The ritual Isis performed for Osiris became the blueprint for Egyptian mummification and funerary practices.

They teach us about the triumph of order over chaos.

The victory of Horus over Set reaffirms the principle of Mart,

The cosmic order of truth,

Justice and balance.

The pharaoh was seen as the earthly embodiment of Horus,

And their sacred duty was to maintain Mart order in Egypt.

They also teach us the importance of human effort.

The tireless actions of Isis demonstrated that restoring harmony requires hard work,

Dedication and powerful magic.

It was a model for humans to follow in their own lives to achieve a favourable outcome in the afterlife.

So,

It's a beautiful myth,

A beautiful story that encourages us to look at the earth right now,

The world right now,

And to dig deep within,

To understand that it's through alchemy,

It's through transmutation,

It's through deep inquiry and shadow work.

That's how we restore harmony between these forces,

Between the forces of masculine and feminine,

Between the forces that prevent us from coming together in love.

So,

I encourage you to dive deeper into this inquiry,

This next few weeks,

Around your own dynamics and relation to your inner harmony,

Your inner union.

How is your relationship to your masculine and feminine parts?

Do these parts,

Your inner king,

Your inner queen,

Do they stand together?

Or is there conflict?

Is there chaos?

I'm inquiring you to dig deeper into your own journey around inner union,

And then we'll be back next time to discover some of the more ancient Egyptian archetypes that can support us to transmute even further some of the parts that are still in the unseen.

This is Natalie from Scissors of the Rose.

Thank you so much for listening,

And we'll speak again soon.
