Welcome to this autumnal equinox meditation and breathwork.
I have already called in the energy of Reiki and now I will call in the four directions.
Four angels and archangels,
Ancestors and guides in the highest realm.
Coming from the east,
The south,
The west,
And the north.
And just finding a comfortable space where you will not be disturbed to sit or lie down.
Starting to tune in to your physical body,
Your breath,
And allowing the breath to float in and out without judgment.
We'll take three deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Breathing in to the fullest and releasing.
Breathing in again and releasing.
Taking the deepest breath that you've taken so far today.
Maybe releasing it out with a sigh.
And just allowing the weight of your body to sink down into the surface beneath you.
The equinox is the time of equal darkness and light where the sun changes position in the sky for the remainder of the season.
It is a time of transition,
Change,
Growth,
And death.
I'd like for you to imagine yourself in a forest.
The sun is shining and it's a beautiful day.
You can feel a nice,
Crisp breeze as it is a mountain forest.
And you can hear birds,
Crickets,
All types of life taking place around you.
In the forest,
You find a path and you follow the path down to the water.
You can hear the movement of the water as it's rushing over rocks downstream from a waterfall and you find a nice rock covered in moss down by the stream in the sun.
So you sit down by the rock and just allow yourself to be held by nature,
By Mother Earth,
Pachamama.
As you look up at the sky above you,
You can see the canopy of trees breathing together,
Their leaves are just beginning to change and fall.
And as you observe,
You reflect on what in your life is needing to change and fall away.
Imagine without clinging tightly to any ideas or judging what comes up for you,
Breathing in,
Releasing.
Imagine you place your bare feet into the cool water of the stream and you allow the water to wash over your feet,
Looking at them through the water.
You see little fish around you,
Tadpoles,
New life beginning,
And you mush your feet into the sandy bank of the river,
Feeling that support.
Although it moves,
It never wavers.
You wash the mud off of your feet and you bring yourself down closer to the water where you can see your reflection.
You look at yourself in the water,
Looking into your own eyes,
Into this mirror of yourself.
And if there's a message that you would like to say to yourself,
Just look at yourself and say that to yourself now.
Or if nothing comes to you,
Maybe you just say,
I love you.
I trust you.
I'm here for you.
You take some water underneath your reflection in the water and scoop it up in your hands and just wash that water over your face,
Feeling the coolness of this new season,
This new self that you metamorphose into,
And feeling love for every bit of yourself as you wash away what no longer serves you.
Stepping away from the riverbank,
You watch the water float downstream.
Sitting back away from the water,
You just watch it go by.
You watch and observe and admire the strength of the water to move and continue moving and continue flowing with ease and grace,
The strength it takes,
The consistency,
Discipline and focus that it requires of you.
When you realize that you're made of water and you're fully capable,
Worthy and aligned to whatever you'd like to bring in for this new season,
You're taking a deep breath in and out and starting to find some movements in your physical body,
Maybe fluttering the eyes open and just noticing your energy.
As you move on throughout the rest of your day,
The rest of your week and your life,
Just know that you can continue to come back to this forest anytime you need to.
Best things to you on your journey forward and happy equinox.
