Welcome to this meditation practice.
My name is Ale Garnica.
Find a comfortable position and imagine that your body melts and becomes one with the surface you are sitting or lying on.
Let it rest.
Let it be.
Now close your eyes.
Connect with the calmness of your inner silence.
The space that,
Even when quiet,
Is filled with wisdom.
Your wisdom.
Take a few moments to absorb what this space has to offer.
Now gently move your attention to the breath,
Observing its natural rhythm.
And just let it be.
If your mind gets distracted by thoughts,
Gently bring it back to the present by observing the rhythm of your breath.
The mind is simply doing what it's used to doing and it just needs some gentle guidance.
A loving reminder to come back to the here and now with compassion.
Now think about a challenging situation you are facing today.
A disagreement with a loved one,
A situation at work,
An illness.
Let's play with your inner wisdom by asking the following questions.
What is the thought or belief that is keeping me from moving forward in this situation?
Pause here and see what comes up.
Now ask yourself,
Who would I be without that thought or belief?
Notice what arises.
Whatever you envision,
Know that you are already that person.
The only thing stopping you from showing up that way is the thought you are holding on to.
A thought that you gently released just now by opening to the possibility of who you could be without it.
Next time you face this situation or next time that the thought comes to your mind,
Mentally say,
I decide to let you go.
And imagine how it floats away until you see it disappear into the sky.
As we approach the end of this practice,
Bring your attention back to the space you are in.
Notice your body touching the surface beneath it.
Take a deep breath.
And when you are ready,
At your own pace,
Open your eyes.
Thank you for being here today.
