Amanda Lynn Wayman (Buckner)

Amanda’s journey to mindfulness was an unwilling and very bumpy one. In 2016, she was first introduced to meditation when working at a substance abuse treatment center. Unable to sit still without either reeling in anxiety or dissociation, or sleep, she dropped out of the ‘mindfulness in recovery’ training led by John Bruna. After being introduced to yoga by a coworker, via a required team building activity, Amanda slept well for the first time since she could remember-eventually leading her to completing a teacher training. Now, Amanda leads Mindfulness Groups and has also completed a 100hour meditation training with Inner Dimension Academy. She hopes to share this practice with those that have similar aversions to sitting still and meets individuals where they are at, one moment at a time.
