Good morning and welcome to your morning gratitude meditation.
Let us begin by taking a moment to find a comfortable seat either sitting up or lying down.
Just finding any micro movements to make us even 5-10% more comfortable.
And as we begin to settle in,
Begin to notice your body from the top of your head down through your throat,
Your arms,
Your chest,
Your abdomen,
Your back,
Your hips,
Your thighs,
Your knees,
Your calves,
Your ankles,
The tops of your feet,
The bottoms of your feet,
And your toes.
And from the bottom of your feet,
Scanning back up to the top of your head,
Just noticing,
Checking in with yourself,
Connecting to all parts of your body.
And as we continue to check in with our body,
Once you get back to the chest,
Just feel how your chest rises as you inhale through your nose.
And how it falls as you exhale out your mouth.
In through the nose.
And out through your mouth.
A couple more in through your nose.
And as you continue in through the nose,
And out through the mouth,
Just see if you can lengthen the inhales and exhales,
Really slowing them down.
On your next inhale,
Maybe pausing at the top,
Inhaling as much as you can,
Seeping in a little more air,
Holding it,
And slowly,
Evenly exhale it all out.
When you're ready,
You can bring it back to a natural breath.
Keeping your eyes closed,
Continuing to check in with your body and how it feels.
Ask yourself,
What are you grateful for?
Are you grateful for waking up and being able to see the sun?
Are you grateful to be able to feel your body wiggle your toes?
Feel your hands open and close your eyes.
Are you grateful for being able to take another breath?
Ask yourself,
Who are you grateful for?
Your family,
Your friends,
Maybe a stranger who held a door open for you.
Maybe you're grateful for yourself,
For pressing play on this meditation and giving yourself space to connect,
To reflect,
To listen in.
So again,
What are you grateful for?
Having clean water,
Being able to use a toilet or take a shower.
Having to have gratitude for the little things,
For the big things and everything in between.
I would like to remind you that you are allowed to take your gratitude practice with you throughout this day.
Maybe you can notice the little things,
The big things that you're grateful for throughout the day.
I am grateful for you,
For pressing play,
For the willingness to press play and give yourself the love of gratitude.
May you find peace and happiness in the rest of your day.
