**Note: Truth does not always sound pleasant. If the mind is not really peaceful now, it might not be a perfect moment to listen to this podcast, one has to be aware of the emotions or reactions that can block one from listenING ATTENTIVELY and with HUMILITY. This talk is a meditation practice. What one needs to do is listen attentively, without getting stuck in words, examine the mind in silence, not agree or disagree, just look at the mind as it is. Doing so is already part of true meditation.

For most people,

The life is being dominated by pleasure.

Always want to have fun,

To seek pleasure from all kind of things.

And such a life is inevitably trapped in thoughts.

We don't condemn pleasure,

But we have to see clearly,

Actually,

The relationship between thoughts and pleasure.

For most people,

The life is verbal,

It's full of words,

Expressions.

And based on this web of the language,

The words,

There are all kinds of fantasies,

Imaginations,

Ideas,

Theories,

Stories,

Created by a verse.

All these things can bring about tremendous pleasure.

This comfort of pleasure drugs the mind.

So the mind is into the thoughts more and more.

The mind totally loses the God because the pleasure has toxicated the mind.

So that's why most of us have accepted thoughts in our life because of this pleasure.

And thoughts have permeated into every corner of our living.

It is also because of this pleasure,

It's becoming challenging to question the limit of thoughts.

If there's only pleasure,

That would be perfect,

Right?

Well,

Unfortunately,

Pleasure is a fragment,

It is limited to thoughts,

These thought processes.

Therefore,

There must be an opposite.

As long as it is not total,

It is fragmented,

There must be an opposite.

This is not a theory,

This is the truth of living.

Look at all these mental challenges we are going through.

The fear,

The anxiety,

This utter loneliness,

This oscillation,

This meaninglessness,

This boredom,

They are also the products of thoughts.

So on the one hand,

Thoughts bring about pleasure.

On the other hand,

Thoughts breed fear and all kinds of mental challenges in different forms.

But because of pleasure,

We are so into thoughts.

And even when we are suffering from thoughts,

The mind is still one to hold on to some thoughts only for the pleasure.
