Transcript

Welcome to your Community Mindfulness Project 5-minute gratitude break.

So pausing now and taking a few deep breaths,

Paying attention to what it feels like just to breathe.

Now allowing the breath to return to its own natural rhythm and bringing attention into the body,

Identifying one part of the body that seems to be working just fine and allowing for a sense of gratitude to well up and infuse every cell in your body and resting in that sense of gratitude for the well working of this one part of your body.

Now,

Broadening your awareness to identify something in your immediate surroundings for which you are grateful and allowing for a sense of gratitude to well up and infuse every cell in your body and again resting in that sense of gratitude for this aspect of your surroundings.

Now,

Bringing to mind a food that you have eaten today for which you feel grateful.

Allowing for a sense of gratitude to well up and infuse every cell in your body and resting in that sense of gratitude for the food that you've eaten.

Now bringing to mind someone,

Human or even animal,

For whom you feel grateful and again allowing for a sense of gratitude to well up and infuse every cell of your body and resting in that sense of gratitude.

Now extending a heartfelt wish that all beings everywhere may have a sense of abundance and good fortune.

Wishing you a wonderful day and feeling gratitude to share this practice with you.
