Today's meditation is an invitation to pause and relax into the stillness of this moment and begin again with a greater sense of ease.
It's an opportunity to take five minutes just for you to refill your cup and remember what it feels like to just be.
Let's begin.
Taking a moment to settle in.
Finding a position that's comfortable for you.
Closing the eyes if that feels good or just gently softening your gaze and taking notice of the breath.
The sensations you feel as the air enters and leaves your nose or mouth.
Beginning to lengthen the inhale and bringing intention to the exhale.
With each inhale feeling your chest as it expands.
Feeling with air and as you exhale inviting some softness into the body.
Continuing with the breath and noticing the muscles around your eyes,
Your jaw,
Your shoulders.
With each inhale heightening your awareness of where you might be holding tension and with the exhale inviting that tension to melt away.
Without judgment,
Without the story it may hold,
There is nothing to hold on to in this moment.
It's an opportunity just for you to just be.
Relaxing in the stillness.
If your mind begins to wander to your to-dos or your what-ifs,
Just bring your attention back to the present.
Back to the breath.
Those thoughts belong in the future or in the past.
Stay in the present.
Stay with the sensations of the body.
Stay with the breath.
I'll give you a minute or two now on your own to embrace the stillness.
To enjoy the peace and quiet you so often crave.
And now bringing your attention back.
Deepening the breath once again.
Inviting in some gentle movements as you prepare to begin again.
And feeling gratitude for taking time for yourself.
Remembering you can always return to this place of stillness whenever you need a reset.
And when you're ready,
Opening the eyes.
