Welcome to Gratitude Flow Meditation.
I'm Danielle and I'll be guiding you through your practice today.
Today's meditation is intended to reconnect you with your sense of gratitude so that you can appreciate all that you have in this present moment.
So let's get to today's meditation practice.
Begin by finding a comfortable meditation position.
Closing your eyes if that feels comfortable for you or bringing your gaze to a fixed point in your meditation space.
And once you've settled in,
Begin to connect with your breath.
Noticing each inhale and each exhale.
Without trying to change anything,
Just breathing naturally,
Exactly as you are,
Becoming more and more aware of your inhales and exhales.
As you begin to become more in tune with your own breath,
Notice how your body perfectly expands and centers with each breath,
Bringing energy into your system and letting go of what is no longer needed.
And as you take in your first series of breaths in your meditation practice today,
Begin to cultivate a sense of thankfulness for the simple,
Nourishing breath.
As you begin to activate your sense of gratitude,
I invite you to call to mind one thing that you are especially grateful for in this moment.
And maybe that's a person,
A challenge that has helped you grow,
Your home,
Your community,
Or your family.
And whatever it is that you are so grateful for in this moment,
Begin to visualize it,
Allowing the image to become clearer and clearer with each moment that passes.
Notice the sensations that this feeling of gratitude brings into your physical body,
Your energy,
And your breath.
Feel the flow of gratitude reaching out to meet each and every part of you.
And be here with this flow of gratitude for the next few moments.
As you continue to stay and bask in this wonderful flow of gratitude,
I invite you to connect with the following statements of gratitude that I will share with you,
Allowing them to be reminders that you have everything you need,
Allowing these statements of thankfulness to continue to nourish the flow of gratitude that you have begun to create.
I am thankful for the sun,
The moon,
The sky,
And the stars.
I am thankful for the oceans,
Lakes,
And rivers.
I am thankful for mountains,
Hills,
And fields.
I am thankful for the nature that surrounds and nurtures me.
I am thankful for my home,
For times of warmth and cold,
For all the little things that allow me to live my life day to day.
I am thankful for the food that is available to me,
For the hands that help prepare the meals,
And the community that comes in sharing.
I am grateful for my family,
My friends,
And every single person I encounter.
I am thankful for my senses,
Which allow me to experience this world.
I am thankful for the challenges that shape me and will continue to shape me.
I am thankful for my body,
My mind,
And my heart.
I am thankful for everything that is part of my unique experience of this life.
And if there is anything else that you wish to be grateful for in this moment,
Allow yourself to bring that gratitude into your meditation practice today.
Beginning to deepen your breath now.
Coming back to an awareness of the way that your breath is moving in and out of you.
Allowing this awareness to bring you back to the physical space that you were in.
And before you return to your day,
Taking a final moment here to thank yourself for making the time to meditate today.
Allowing the sense of gratitude that you cultivated today in your meditation practice to lead you through the days and weeks ahead.
