This is Deborah Lehrendicke and you're listening to The Path of the Soloist To Be an Artist.

Where would I be if music had not been enamoured of my perfume?

Where would I be if that melody had not believed in me?

Where would I be if in my dreams I had not uncovered the secret of my music?

Where would I be if from the shadows your inspiration had not enlightened my soul?

Where would I and you and each creative soul be?

Where would we have sought refuge when darkness loomed?

Where to believe?

Where to return?

If it were not for you,

Music.

If it were not for you,

Song.

If it were not for you,

Art.

The ugly darkling resisted the fierce onslaught,

Changing in each skin,

In each sound,

To become swan.

As he changed skin,

He shed the scars of his history,

Leaving a mark,

But in each new skin he shone.

He took one step at a time,

Until he metamorphosed from caterpillar to butterfly.

When they asked him how many skins he'd shed,

He answered that there were many,

Perhaps infinitely so,

And that is his greatest strength,

His hidden secret.

When they asked him how it all started,

He answered that it was a calling,

An inner voice which bubbled up from the depths,

A living flame that flickered incessantly in irresistible song,

In pure music,

In loving poetry.

No,

It was no whim,

Nor act of rebellion,

No,

Not some vague idea that had been conjured up.

It was his purest vocation,

The call of his soul,

A genuine love for his art become sound.

That was when he discovered his true essence,

His artist's being.

That was when he was able to sing until dawn,

To spin through the air.

That was when he flew high,

Oh so high.

That was when nothing was ever the same again,

And when he finally became a free spirit.

Close your eyes.

Turn your gaze inwards.

Breathe deeply,

In and out.

Let yourself glide into a space of inner silence,

Of calm and tranquility in your mind.

Return to your centre,

The centre of your being,

The centre of your creativity.

Feel how the air runs through your body,

From the crown of your head,

Down to the soles of your feet.

Breathe.

Let go of tension and worry.

Relax your mind.

Allow your energy to flow freely within each cell of your being.

Connect to that call,

To your inner voice,

The call to be an artist and vibrate in that deep and genuine desire.

Breathe the art which lives within you and through you.

Feel the privilege of being an artist,

Of being able to connect with your gift,

With your talent.

It is from that appreciation that you will recover your own light,

That light which restores your magnificence and greatness.

It does not matter where in this process you find yourself.

Just consider yourself to be an artist in constant evolution.

In the impermanence of your existence on this earthly journey,

You realise that what was once no longer is and that who you were is not who you are.

A past that is no longer here,

A past that lies behind.

Gaze upon it with eyes of love and compassion.

Yes,

With compassion towards yourself and others.

Resist the temptation to judge yourself.

Resist the temptation to want to understand what could not be.

Everything has been exactly as it should be,

As your soul must continue evolving.

Without becoming attached to that past,

Contemplate yourself with all the experiences that brought you to this point.

You are not that past.

You are but an observer,

The witness to your story.

Today,

You begin to say farewell to the person you were,

To those habits and limiting beliefs,

To those negative emotions which held you captive.

Today,

You say farewell to that energy which is no longer in tune with you.

Release everything that no longer resonates within you.

Let that ugly duckling go once and for all.

Understand that to continue along this path,

You must go lightly,

Very lightly,

And thus let go of anything that no longer belongs to you.

This rebuilding of your new being is no magic,

For it is a gradual process which requires effort and commitment for you to re-find yourself,

To recover your greatest artistic expression,

To be the swan that you are and become the soloist of your life.

Now,

Repeat this affirmation.

Dear Past,

Today,

I release myself and I release you.

Today,

I release myself and I release you.

Today,

I release myself and I release you.

I release myself from attachments,

From negative forces,

From fears,

From the illusion of my limited capacity.

I release myself from the fails that prevented me from hearing my truth and kept me separate from my beauty and essence.

I release myself and I release you to metamorphose into the universe.

Feel how that energy dissolves and flows away from you.

And in this way,

You are purifying yourself.

In this purification lies your healing.

In that healing,

Your aura regains its shine.

Yes,

Your aura regains its shine.

Free of attachments,

Your voice shines once again as you reconnect with the source,

Your seed,

With the divine force,

With your purpose and your mission.

Today,

You will begin to walk down your path as a soloist,

A soloist in art and music,

A soloist of life.

Shattering the myth,

You will emerge in all your creative magnificence,

Leading your soul.

Being a soloist is a deep and untransferable path.

It is about listening to your heart and awakening your inner wisdom without the need for the approval of others.

It is about being in the present with no expectations as to results about the future of what will be or not.

It is about being the sovereign of your own truth.

It is being able to flow in the here and now,

In the certainty that the universe is sustaining you and the light of the creator guiding you.

Now,

Enveloped in divine protection,

Raise up a prayer to feel the strength you need to continue on your path and never give up on your artistic desire.

This strength does not come from outside.

It is the flame that burns within you and that you must recover.

For this,

You will hear a paragraph from the Book of Zohar,

The Book of Light,

In the ancestral wisdom of the Kabbalah.

These words are written in Aramaic and each letter is a code,

Collecting you to celestial worlds,

Channeling the divine energy of creation.

Let the sound and vibration of these words penetrate your body and repeat with me.

Through the light of my soul,

I restore the strength that lives in me.

I am the light of the universe,

The light of the universe.

I am the light of the universe,

The light of the universe.

Through the light of my soul,

I restore the strength that lives in me to follow this artist's path with courage and certainty,

To dare to shine and become the best version of me.

Feel how you rise and light up from within,

Igniting the flame of your strength.

Through this energy,

You illuminate the way for all the artists in the world so that they may also find the strength that dwells within each one.

In the consecration of this sacred space,

In freedom and completeness,

In your new skin,

Today an artist is born.
