Autumn Equinox Meditation Embracing Balance and Letting Go Welcome to this special meditation in honor of the autumn equinox.

Today we mark a time of balance,

Where day and night are of equal length.

It's a time to embrace the beauty of change,

Honor balance,

And let go,

Just as the trees release their leaves.

Allow yourself now to settle into a comfortable seated position,

Letting your hands rest on your lap.

Start by taking a few deep breaths,

Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.

With each exhale,

Imagine releasing any tension or distractions from your day,

Letting it float away like a leaf carried by the wind.

Bring your attention to your body.

Feel the weight of your body pressing down,

Grounding you to the earth.

As you visualize the trees during this season,

Allow yourself to feel rooted,

Drawing strength and nourishment from the ground below.

Focus on your breath,

The gentle rise and fall of your chest,

The in-breath,

A moment of activity and light,

The out-breath,

A moment of rest and darkness.

Embody the balance of the equinox within each breath cycle.

Recognize that balance is not about perfection,

But about harmony and rhythm.

Visualize a tree with golden and crimson leaves.

As the breeze flows,

The tree releases its leaves,

Letting them drift to the ground.

Similarly,

Consider what you might need to let go of in your life.

It might be a limiting belief,

A past hurt,

Or even a physical object.

Envision these as leaves and allow them to gently fall away.

With each leaf that drops,

Feel a sense of lightness and freedom.

The autumn equinox is also a time of harvest.

Reflect on the seed you've planted in your life this year,

Both literal and metaphorical.

Recognize the growth,

The experiences,

And the lessons.

Give gratitude for the abundance in your life and the nourishment these harvests provide.

Just as animals prepare for the winter,

Let's use this time to nurture our inner light.

Imagine a warm golden glow in your heart center.

With each breath,

This light grows brighter,

Promising to guide you during the darker days ahead.

Begin to bring your awareness to the present moment.

Slowly wiggle your fingers and toes.

As you open your eyes,

Carry the essence of this autumn equinox meditation with you.

Remember the balance,

The beauty of letting go,

And the inner light that guides you.

Thank you for sharing this space and this moment.

Blessed Be.
