Namaste and a very warm welcome to all of you in this daily live meditation session with me the answer.

We are meditating on yoga sutras of Patanjali.

Don't save yourself.

Everyone tries to tell you that you save yourself but Patanjali says don't save yourself.

The more you try to save yourself,

The more you never reach to yourself.

The more you lose yourself,

The more you become yourself.

What strange phenomena this is when it comes to ourselves.

The self that you are trying to protect,

The self that you are trying to save is not your true self.

Only when you let go of what you are trying to save,

Of what you are trying to protect,

Only then is your true self.

Only when the drop merges into the ocean,

It becomes the ocean.

You are not the drop,

You are the ocean.

Not to be the ocean,

You will have to drop the drop.

You will have to let go of the drop in the ocean to become the ocean.

You have seen this in your life as well in different experiences of your life that unless you let go of yourself,

The taste of what you are doing is incomplete.

You can let go of yourself in work,

You can let go of yourself in thought,

You can let go of yourself in arts,

In music,

In any kind of recreation.

There are so many ways in which you let go of yourself.

And until this complete letting go of oneself,

Until this complete absorption of self is happening,

The experience of anything that you are doing is incomplete.

But there are different kinds of absorptions.

There are different ways in which you can get absorbed.

You can get absorbed in the thought and you can see the whole madness of this world.

All this madness that is there out there in the world is a result of this deep absorption into just the thought.

The science,

The politicians,

The entire set of what is leading is absorbed in thought.

If you can see the world currently,

The way it is run is absorbed in thought.

And this absorption in thought does not take you to the ultimate.

It has its own place,

It also leads to the madness,

But it can never lead you to the ultimate.

Then there could be an absorption in music,

Absorption in arts.

Very beautiful,

Very beautiful kind of absorption where you completely let go of yourself,

You become the art.

The artist no longer remains.

There is only the art that remains,

The painting,

The music,

Any kind of art that you create.

That is also a very beautiful absorption.

In that absorption,

Yes,

There is the art,

But there is still something missing,

There is still the ultimate that is missing.

If you see an artist,

He is always in pain.

He is always in deep somewhere unfulfillment that he is trying to achieve through his or her art.

So,

The art,

No matter how enriching it is,

It is still not completely fulfilling.

Then there could be an absorption in love,

When you really fall in love.

Not the calculated love,

Not the transactional love,

But the real love where you completely let go of yourself for the other,

For just the sake of love.

That love,

That absorption,

That letting go of self is very very fulfilling as well.

That love is closest to what can be called as the highest absorption.

That love has similar characteristics,

But there is still bondage.

That love is not yet full freedom.

That love has not yet the characteristics,

The full spectrum of the infinity of this nothingness of this ultimate freedom.

So,

These are different ways of absorbing yourself.

And Patanjali on the doorsteps of Kevalyam is telling you about the highest absorption.

The highest absorption possible,

The highest way of letting go of yourself,

Of not saving yourself but rather letting go of yourself and rediscovering something that is far more greater,

That highest absorption is Kevalyam.

That highest absorption is total,

It is the absorption into infinity.

It is the absorption into the vastness of emptiness.

It is the absorption into nothingness.

Until you lose yourself,

Until yourself is completely dissolved and absorbed into nothingness,

The ultimate has not yet happened.

There is still something to be achieved.

There is still a hankering for something,

This or that in life.

There is still pain.

There is still pleasure.

There is still misery.

All the circle of life continues.

Everything continues.

There are good times.

There are bad times.

Until there is the absorption into nothingness,

Into the very ultimate absorption,

There is nothing beyond nothingness.

There is nothing beyond this infinity,

This absorption into consciousness.

You can call it God,

You can call it emptiness,

You can call it nothingness,

You can call it moksha,

You can call it nirvana.

It does not matter what you call it,

What appeals to you,

What resonates to you,

Until yourself is completely absorbed in this vastness,

In this nothingness into emptiness,

There is no real self.

And this absorption has to happen completely.

There has to be a totality in this absorption.

Not even a trace of you is left behind.

If even a single trace of you is left,

You are still stuck.

You are still not there yet.

You still haven't tasted,

You still haven't reached,

You still haven't really been at the peak of Kevalya.

So this is the last,

At the doorstep of Kevalya,

One of the last messages of Patanjali to tell you that this absorption into nothingness is the highest.

Everything is worth dropping for this absorption.

Not even yourself,

Which you have been protecting,

Which you have been saving all this time with all the fears and everything that you contain in you,

Drop all that.

Drop that entire self and let that drop merge into the ocean of nothingness.

That is the only way,

That is the ultimate way of Kevalyam.

Let us hear what Patanjali has to say in his last sutras.

Patanjali says,

Tathklesha karma nivritti,

From that Samadhi,

All afflictions and karmas cease.

From that Samadhi,

From that absorption,

From this ultimate absorption into Kevalyam,

Into nothingness,

Only from that Samadhi,

All other Samadhis,

All other absorptions,

All other concentrations,

All other meditations,

All other lifestyles,

They fall short of in comparison to that ultimate absorption.

He says,

From that Samadhi,

All afflictions and karmas cease.

What afflictions,

The five afflictions that yoga had elaborated on the path in the previous sessions as well,

These afflictions are ignorance,

Ego,

Hatred,

Attraction to something and fears.

These five afflictions yoga had elaborated in the previous sutras,

I had spoken about them in the previous sessions as well.

And karmas cease.

Even the bag of karma that you have been carrying through lifetimes on you,

The karma that you are creating in this lifetime,

All together,

All the impressions that you are carrying in you,

They all cease.

Everything loses its influence over you.

No fear can touch you,

No ignorance can touch you,

No ego,

No attachment,

No hatred,

Nothing can touch you if you are in that absorption of the very ultimate of Kevalyam.

This is one of the last very important messages of Patanjali if your heart resonates with it.

If you absorb this message in your spirit,

In your soul,

Already much is achieved.

Let us hear one more sutra before we sit in silence.

That which can be known through the mind is very little compared with the infinite knowledge obtained in enlightenment,

When the viles,

Distortions and impurities are removed.

That which can be known through the mind is very little as compared to what can be known in this vastness,

In this nothingness,

In this emptiness.

That which can be known through the mind is very little.

See that all what we are experiencing in life through the mind is so little as compared to the vastness of emptiness of this existence and that experience is available for you,

Provided you absorb yourself into that nothingness,

Provided you lose yourself,

Provided you stop trying to hold on to all what you have been holding on all throughout your life,

That you call as yourself.

That you call as yourself is not your real self.

That is the substitute that you are holding into your hands.

Because if this was your real self,

You did not have to hold it,

You did not have to make any effort to hold it,

You did not have to go through all the miseries of life in order to protect it.

That what you are protecting is not your real self.

Let that go,

Let that be absorbed into nothingness,

Into emptiness,

Into vast infinity and then the whole infinity belongs to you.

You are in the knowledge of the infinite,

Not in the knowledge of your mind.

That is otherwise the case in your life.

And he says,

This is enlightenment,

This is what is obtained in enlightenment.

What else could enlightenment be if not to be in this infinite,

Vast emptiness,

Nothingness?

When the viles,

Distortions and impurities are removed,

This is once again repeating that when all the kleshas,

All the afflictions,

All the karmas,

They lose their influence over you in this absorption,

Then nothing comes in the way,

Then there is only enlightenment.

Let us take this knowledge,

Let us take this message of Patanjali,

Of losing oneself,

Of not trying to save oneself in the meditation,

In the silence.

And as I will chant Aum,

As you will chant Aum with me in the vibrations of Aum,

Let go of yourself.

Don't leave even a trace of yourself behind,

Put,

Pour everything into the vibrations of Aum.

Let this self be completely dissolved into the vibrations of Aum and that opens up the vast nothingness to you,

The whole belongs to you once again.

You once again wake up to the totality that you are.

For this meditation,

I will chant Aum,

My chant of Aum will be long.

You don't have to follow all the chants,

You can chant as long as you can with me or remain silent and simply listening,

Be absorbed in simply listening into the vibrations of Aum wherever you are.

If you are chanting long,

Maintain your own pace,

The only aspect that you have to keep in mind is to match the frequency,

Match the energy,

Match the vibrations of Aum with me.

We will chant Aum a few times and then we will sit in silence,

In nothingness.

Please close your eyes.

Take a posture that is easy for your body.

Keeping your back straight,

Your head relaxed,

Your hands and legs relaxed,

Body resting at its own weight.

Awareness in your inner space.

Your body,

Your mind,

Your energies,

All ready to be absorbed in the vibrations of Aum.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Aum.

Your thought,

Your mind,

Your emotion,

Your heart,

Your awareness,

Your spirit,

All absorbed in the vibrations of Aum.

Aum.

All your energies release on the vibrations of form Om Om As the door to infinite opens,

Enter.

Leave everything behind and enter.

Om Om Allow the infinite,

The emptiness,

The nothingness to absorb you,

To completely merge you in itself.

Om Om The ocean is coming to you.

Don't leave yourself behind.

Let go,

Be absorbed in the infinite.

Om Feel the emptiness,

The silence,

The vast infinite space in the silence after every one.

Om Om Feel the energy of this silence,

Of nothingness in your entire space.

Absorbing your body,

Absorbing your mind,

Absorbing all what you call as yourself.

Om Om Om Om Om Total absorption in silence,

In nothingness.

Om Om Om The nothingness,

Nothing of you remains in this nothingness.

Om Complete absorption.

Om No self,

No world,

Simply nothingness,

An awareness of nothingness.

Om Let go even of that last thing that you are holding.

No space,

No time.

Everything absorbed in emptiness,

In nothingness.

Om Worthington.

This is meet a Fulfer As you return to the world,

Enter a new body.

Enter a new mind.

Enter a new heart.

And very gently and slowly,

You may open your eyes.

And the space in front of you is completely new.

The experience from here on in your life are completely new.

As you enter Kevalyam and you come back into the world,

You are completely new.

The self that you have been saving is gone and the new is about to begin.

Thank you very much.

Namaste.
