Greetings,

Dear soul.

How wonderful that we are back in touch again.

Welcome to the meditation on mindful breathing using the technique of Anapanasati.

Before we begin,

Find a comfortable place where you can sit on any surface,

Preferably semi-solid or solid.

It could be a chair,

Or you can sit in a half-lotus or lotus position.

Allow yourself at this moment to set aside all worries and thoughts to focus 100% on your inner world.

Close your eyes.

Allow your body to slowly relax,

Starting from your feet and gradually moving up to your head.

Feel the tension releasing with each exhale and your body becoming heavy and calm.

Now,

Let's turn our attention to the breath.

Breathe consciously,

So that each inhale stretches out as long as possible,

So that each exhale stretches out as long as possible.

Take a look at how you are breathing right now,

Quickly or slowly.

Allow your breath to be your support,

Your foundation leading to inner harmony,

To deep calmness.

Focus under the nostrils.

Feel the flow of air entering and exiting through the nostrils,

Like an invisible thread connecting us to your inner world.

Observe how long you can maintain your attention on the point beneath your nostrils without being distracted by thoughts.

Observe how long you can maintain your attention on the point beneath your nostrils without being distracted by thoughts.

Throughout our lives,

We often search for joy in physical possessions,

In our connections with others and in our accomplishments.

Yet,

Genuine joy isn't located in the tangible world,

It's found within ourselves.

As the old saying goes,

People look for happiness in places where it doesn't exist.

Ultimately,

We are left with what we began with,

Where everything returns to the starting point akin to a shattered water trough.

Realize that all we gain in this life,

All that we cling to,

Will eventually fade away.

This is the natural progression of life.

Life is akin to a classroom and our objective is to absorb its lessons.

A key lesson that life aims to impart is the practice of non-attachment to worldly things.

Vairagya is a way of life,

A lifestyle.

If you ask how to learn to live,

The answer will be two words,

Develop Vairagya.

If you are attached to something,

Sooner or later,

It will be lost.

If you are attached to the family,

You can lose it.

If you are attached to work,

You can lose it.

If you are attached to children,

You can lose them.

If you are attached to something,

Sooner or later,

It will be lost.

If you are attached to the family,

You can lose it.

If you are attached to work,

You can lose it.

If you are attached to children,

You can lose them.

When an individual possesses Vairagya,

They lead a normal life,

Attending to their responsibilities,

Carrying out their duties,

And so on.

However,

They remain unattached to their deeds and particularly to the outcomes of those deeds.

Such an individual can let go and walk away at any moment and thus faces no issues.

They don't require punishment or instruction.

Vairagya represents not just a practice,

But an entire approach to living.

When asked how to master this way of life,

The response is simple,

Cultivate Vairagya.

Attachment inevitably leads to loss.

Whether it's attachment to family,

Work,

Or children,

The risk of loss is always present.

Nothing in our surroundings can substitute the divine for an individual.

Yet,

Individuals often seek a stand-in for the divine in the form of happiness.

Since the purpose of life includes realizing our divine nature and the subsequent expansion of our awareness,

Any attachments we form are merely hurdles on this journey.
