Let's do a self-exploration meditation on To be a living being is not the ultimate state.
For this self-inquiry,
You will require a full-length mirror.
You may sit on a chair in front of the full-length mirror.
Look at the reflection of the waker in the mirror.
This is the form of a living being.
The name of this form is human being.
This form is born of the desire to become,
The will to live,
The craving to be,
Also called jijivisha in Sanskrit.
This name and form does not desire to live or not live.
This name and form is,
In fact,
The product of the desire to live.
The will to live projects the human appearance at the beginning of the waking cycle.
The will to live projects bodily actions to emphasise its somebodiness.
The will to live projects mental thoughts to emphasise its intelligence.
The will to live projects feelings to emphasise its sensitivity.
The will to live projects the expansion of its existence by building relationships and making babies.
The will to live projects the greed to collect accolades and rewards.
The will to live projects the lust to chase fame,
Wealth,
A rich lifestyle.
Hankering,
Running,
Chasing,
Desiring,
Lusting are what define the waking state.
Yet,
A sense of lack haunts the waking continuously.
At the end of each waking cycle,
The will to live is punctured by the lack of satisfaction in the worldly projections.
The will to live is crumpled like waste paper at the end of each waking cycle.
The discontent from unquenched longing for identification projects the disappearance of this name and form at the end of each waking cycle.
Let the eyes of the weaker close.
Bring to your memory your most recent waking dream sleep sadhana.
Swatna nidra jnana sadhana experience.
Is there a realisation that the restlessness of craving seeks gratification even in sleep?
Is there a realisation that the seeking continues in sleep as well?
Is there a recognition that you forsake the peace of deep sleep in every sleep cycle?
Do you realise that you come back to the waking again and again?
Seeking for something that you cannot define.
Waking,
Dreaming,
Deep sleep.
Waking,
Dreaming,
Deep sleep.
Waking,
Dreaming,
Deep sleep.
Repeats ceaselessly,
Feverishly,
Hankering for something,
Something unknown.
Could this be the ultimate state?
Or is there something higher?
Only when the fruitlessness of the cycle is seen.
Only when the futility of going in circles is revealed.
Only when the senselessness of the pattern is realised.
Does one see that to be a living being is not the ultimate state?
Are you there yet?
Have you realised that there is something that is beyond living and beyond death?
Non-living.
There is something that quietly lies beyond the veil of deep sleep.
Have you realised that it is the source deeper than life?
It is covertly waiting to be discovered.
Have you realised that that is the wonderful source where from all projects,
Where to all disappears?
Has your Swapna Nitra Jnan Sadhana,
Wisdom of Waking,
Dream and Deep Sleep,
Revealed that all that is living appears from it,
All that is living disappears into it?
It is the source of all that is living,
Yet by itself it is not living.
It knows when the living appears.
It knows when the living disappears,
Yet by itself it is not living.
It is beyond living and non-living.
It is the source of being and non-being.
Both Swapna Nitra Jnan Sadhana as well as Samadhi reveal this highest truth.
The truth of the source of living and non-living.
The truth of the source of being and non-being.
Has your deconditioning practice of Waking,
Dream and Deep Sleep,
Wisdom,
Revealed that deep sleep darkness is known?
Do you realise that you know your deep sleep darkness,
Emptiness,
Nothingness?
When I ask you what was in your deep sleep,
You say nothing.
Who knows?
Who is saying nothing?
That is the unknown.
At the end of every deep sleep darkness which is known,
There lies that which is unknown.
That which is the true knower,
Yet it remains unknown itself.
Do you realise that that is the one that answered the question,
What is there in deep sleep?
Do you realise that that is the one that knows the nothingness of deep sleep?
Do you realise that that is the one that knows where the somethingness of the waking and dream collapsed?
Do you realise that that is the one that knows where the somebodyness of the waker and dream collapsed?
That knows all,
Yet it remains unknown itself.
Do you realise that its nature is of pure knowingness,
Pure awareness?
That is the knowingness field devoid of the interference of the known.
That is the observation field devoid of the interference of the observed.
The field by itself is non-living,
Not consciousness,
Non-being.
Yet the living conscious being arises in it,
Plays in it and dissolves in it.
It is the source of the living as well as the non-living.
It is the source of the conscious and the unconscious.
It is the source of being and non-being.
It is the source of life as well as death.
Realising this field,
Recognising that one is beyond both life and death.
Realising this is recognising the futility of the feverish hankering for life and completely nullifying it.
Realising oneself as this field of observation,
Is recognising the unreasonable fear of death and nullifying it.
That infinite field that gives birth to life cannot live itself.
That infinite field into which all life dissolves and dies cannot die itself.
Nullify the hankering for life.
Overturn the fear of death.
Overturn the fear of death.
Know yourself in your totality.
To be a living being is not the ultimate state.
Go beyond the projected idea of space where there is spacelessness.
Go beyond death.
Go beyond the projected idea of time where there remains only timelessness.
Go beyond death.
Abandon the idea of being born.
Abandon the idea of being the body-mind form.
Abandon the idea of ageing.
Abandon the idea of death.
See directly in your own swapna nidra jnana sadhana and samadhi that you lie beyond the three states of waking,
Dream and sleep.
Repetitively recognise the collapse of the fourth into the state of non-living and non-beingness.
Don't quit until you are able to abandon the fear of death.
Your task is not done yet.
Don't quit too soon.
Sit in samadhi until you see the collapse of the fourth.
Don't quit too soon.
Don't quit too soon.
Don't quit too soon.
