Is Bhakti anyway related to Raga?
Is Bhakti different from the Raga?
So Bhakti happens at a very high level.
Bhakti happens when you have really been on the spiritual path and recognize that,
Oh I and that Brahman consciousness is one only.
I am a part of that magnet.
I am just a broken piece.
And this attraction that I have to him,
To this,
To that,
To her,
To him,
Oh all this is nothing but that one thirst to go back to the Brahman consciousness.
This recognition is Bhakti.
If this recognition has not happened,
You sitting and doing how much ever bhajan,
Satsang,
No use.
It's not Bhakti.
It's not the external thing that by singing bhajans I become a Bhakti.
No.
Wrong understanding.
Bhakti is that recognition.
This we will do Narada Bhakti Sutras.
The ritual formalities came out from that real Bhakti who understood this.
So then out of his love,
Now how do I express my love to that Brahman consciousness?
I can't see it.
I can't touch it.
I can't feel it.
So let me give that Brahman consciousness a root.
I like the root of Krishna.
I gave it the root of Krishna.
You give me water,
I give you water.
You give me fire,
So I take the deep around you and I give you fire.
You give me flowers and fruit,
I give you flowers,
I give you fruit.
You give me such beautiful flowers and that beautiful smell of the flowers,
I give you the incense that is the smell.
So the five senses that you gave to me,
I'm giving back to you.
That is how the Bhakti came up with his way of worship.
Yeah?
The main understanding was what?
Who am I worshipping?
The Brahman consciousness.
What did people hold on to?
Recital and the ritual and forgot the real meaning.
This is not Bhakti.
Got it?
Liberation cannot be attained through that.
It can be,
Uncle.
Only if your understanding is pure,
Clear.
Yeah?
That this is the reason.
And it comes from within.
I'm not doing it because mommy taught me or daddy taught me or my friend says I will get this much.
Yeah?
Yeah.
You've chada what?
Twenty one nareel and you will get this much money back.
Oh nonsense.
I will pass the exam if I go and.
.
.
Yeah.
That's not Bhakti.
That's doing business with Guru,
With God,
Guru,
Whoever,
With Krishna.
You're back to your raga's and veshas.
Got it?
Only you can distinguish inside you is there Bhakti or is there a raga.
Nobody else can decipher it.
You go within and see.
Not everybody can be a Bhakti because this is a very high understanding.
Just because Ekta told me does not mean I understand it.
From within I have to understand it.
Are you getting this?
Not Prabhava Gyanas.
Swabhava Gyanas.
We spoke about Prabhava yesterday.
Influence.
What is Prabhava Gyanas?
Somebody else is saying it to me.
Guruji is saying.
Guruji is also somebody else.
Ekta is saying.
Ekta is somebody else.
I read it in the scripture.
I read it in Bhagavad Gita.
That is also somebody else.
This is all Prabhava Gyanas.
What is Swabhava Gyanas?
Experience.
I experience it.
I go deep into meditation and I recognize.
Oh I'm nothing but just sensations,
Sensations,
Sensations.
Oh I'm really nothing but earth,
Water,
Fire,
Ether,
Air.
Oh it is not just me.
Everybody is earth,
Water,
Fire,
Ether,
Air.
And really what created the earth,
Water,
Fire,
Ether,
Air?
That energy behind these elements.
Everybody is that Purusha,
That energy.
You experience this in your deepest meditation.
In your deepest meditation you start vibrating with the sound of Om.
And when you come to that point,
Real Swabhava Gyanas has happened.
Got it?
That is Swabhava Gyanas.
When it happens to me,
Not when Guruji or Ekta or any other teacher is telling me.
I have to experience it.
They are just like a light.
Everything is dark.
They are showing you the path with a torch light.
Walk this way.
But walking you have to do,
No?
Just by seeing the path in the torch light can you say that I walked the path?
No.
Everybody has their own individual journey.
Everybody.
Nobody can walk for you.
You cannot walk for anybody.
Mother cannot walk for daughter.
Daughter cannot walk for mother.
Your individual journey.
Got it?
That is why meditate.
Understand why we meditate.
When you understand it in its reality,
In its essential form,
Then you will never let go of meditation in Sudarshan Kriya.
You let go of it very easily because the understanding is not firm.
You see what I am saying?
You will never let go of knowledge if you are grounded in this.
Give yourself time.
Now don't start beating yourself up.
Oh I didn't do Kriya.
So many years I wasted.
You started that,
No?
No beating yourself up.
Just a recognition,
Okay I did this.
I have to really become stronger in my commitment.
That's it.
I move on.
What happens if I beat myself?
Dvesha towards my own self.
Yeah?
And I only don't know what complexes I have created for myself by beating myself up.
You know you create your own complexes,
Nobody else gives them to you.
This is the way you create your own inferiority complexes.
Even superiority complexes.
You only create.
But inferiority complex is created by I beating myself up.
I am bad,
I am bad.
I did this to myself.
I am silly.
By I comparing myself with another person,
I am creating an inferiority complex.
I don't realize that it happens at very subtle levels,
Very subtle levels.
It goes and sits in your subconscious and then becomes a strong impression in your unconscious.
Yeah?
So understand this.
Become really sharp now.
Sharpness is very very essential on this path.
If you are not intellectually sharp,
You cannot walk this path.
Have you noticed?
That sharpness has to be there.
Not so sharp mind cannot really make it too far.
Gives up.
Does not have that,
You know,
That courage to keep walking.
You need courage.
Did you recognize?
Simple exercise like writing down ragas and dveshas requires so much of courage,
You know.
That ego would come in the way and say,
No no I am not like this.
Notice?
Yeah?
What is the courage for?
To recognize what this ego is prohibiting me from recognizing.
That is where the courage is required.
Are you seeing what I am saying?
Yeah?
The ego comes in my way and says no no I am not like this.
Yeah?
Having the courage to say shut up and let me see what is.
Let me intellectually come to that conclusion.
Not because you like it or dislike it.
Really look at yourself.
You are not the ego.
You are not the mind.
You are not the intellect.
You are not the memory.
You just have these tools.
Use them as tools.
When you start using them as tools,
You become a master.
When they start using you,
You become a slave.
You decide.
You want to be a master or a slave?
Write a note to yourself.
Please become a master.
Enough of slavery.
Write it down now before you forget it.
