Welcome back to another session of Your Thriving Lifestyle.

My name is Emilio José Garcia.

And today I am very excited to be sharing with you a topic that for many is the most exciting step of the decluttering and organizing journey.

And that step is beautifying and cleansing your space,

Your home.

And I would like to call it your sacred space.

Because it's a space that you have put a lot of intention in.

And now it's time to make it your space.

It's time to beautify.

It's time to display things that you enjoy looking at.

Yeah,

Good morning everybody.

Thank you for saying hi in the chat.

I really appreciate seeing you.

I really love your presence.

And yeah,

I have a little practice today to do together to help you set the intention.

Because this is something really important.

When you are beautifying the space and cleansing your space,

There is a way for you that you can make a little ceremony out of this.

And you can set a clear intention of what is it that you want to see happening in that space.

Okay?

So before I do that,

That little like meditation or ceremony,

However you want to call it,

Practice,

I just want to explain the importance of not beautifying too soon.

Okay?

And this is something that I see happening a lot.

And this topic,

By the way,

This is one of the sessions that I have in my course,

Creating Your Peaceful and Clutter-Free Home.

Okay?

That's a course that I have that you can take.

And this is one of the sessions from that course.

So if you want to learn more and you want to dive deeper into the decluttering and organizing journey,

Taking care of your emotional aspect,

The mental aspect and the physical aspect,

And actually learning the step by step that you can follow,

You can take that course.

And I will guide you through that process through 30 days.

It's a 30 day course.

Okay?

So before you can beautify,

You have to make sure that you have declutter and organize your space.

Okay?

This is really important.

Imagine that you are building a home.

Okay?

Are you able to make the house beautiful,

Hang out on the walls and paint the walls?

If you don't even have walls,

Most likely you can,

Right?

There is an order that you need to follow.

There is a sequence that you need to follow.

So you need to have the house.

You have to put the walls up.

You have to finish the walls.

You have to put the roof.

And then once those things are done,

That's when you can work on the interior.

And that's when you can work on how it looks like,

How it feels like.

But before you have to put the structure in place.

I want you to think the same way with your physical space.

Okay?

It doesn't matter what space we are talking about.

This can apply to your kitchen,

To your bedroom,

To your garage,

To your closet,

To your attic.

It doesn't really matter to your office.

Okay?

So when you're looking at a space,

You can look at the functionality of the space and you can look at the visual appealing at the aesthetics of the space.

Okay?

They are two very different things.

Sometimes people are trying to fix a space by making it beautiful,

But they are not tackling the functionality of that space and how you use it.

Okay?

So that's the first step that you have to do.

So first is becoming aware of what do you want to have happen in that space?

Really think about the activities that you want to be doing.

Really think about how do you want to feel in that space?

Who is using the space?

What are the frustrations that you are experiencing right now from that space so that you can change them?

And then once you get clear on how you are planning on using the space,

That's when you can declutter anything that doesn't belong there.

Anything that no longer serves you.

Okay?

And once you have decluttered everything that no longer need to be there,

Then you are going to organize things.

You are going to create structure,

Create systems,

Find a permanent home for every item that you are keeping.

And once you have the functionality and you test it and you like it and the space flows nicely,

That's when you can beautify that space.

That's when I would recommend put out on the walls.

Maybe you can paint them in a different color,

Add plants,

Display things that make you feel well.

You can do a little ceremony.

Maybe burn some palo santo,

Some incense,

Or put some essential oils for smell.

Whatever ceremony you think of,

Maybe you can place some crystals in the corners.

Maybe whatever you feel comfortable doing,

Okay,

That's the ceremony that is going to help you set that intention.

Okay?

So always remember that before you beautify your space,

You have to think about how it functions and you have to tackle that aspect.

And it's okay if you don't know yet.

Okay?

It's okay if you are on a temporary tweaking testing period of time.

That's fine.

Sometimes you have to discover how that space is going to function.

And you don't know how the final outcome is going to look like yet and that's fine.

It's okay if you don't know.

But get started creating what you feel is going to be good and then test it.

And you can use temporary solutions to see if it functions the way you want.

Okay?

And then you can find more permanent things and permanent solutions.

Okay?

So guys,

Do you understand this process?

I think it's really,

Really important.

Okay?

And that's why in the course,

I don't start with beautifying.

If you take the course,

You will see that the first thing that I tackle is the awareness,

Becoming aware of what you want,

The frustrations that you are experiencing.

The person that you want to become.

And then from there,

We start with the vision.

We connect with it.

We do some practices to help you get excited and motivated.

And then from there,

We declutter.

And then once you have decluttered,

I show you ways of letting go of things that you no longer need.

That we covered that in the past session.

Okay?

I show you how to deal with emotional items and how to deal with all the emotions that will show up.

And then you will organize that space,

Find permanent homes,

Create this structure.

And then you will beautify that space.

Okay?

So I just want you to be very aware that that's the order that you need to follow.

Because if you start beautifying the space,

But the space is not functioning properly,

You will not solve the problem that you may have.

Okay?

So just make sure that before you beautify,

You are comfortable with that space.

And that space represents you and facilitates the lifestyle and the activities that you want.

Okay?

So would you guys like to do a little practice to connect and to see how we can beautify and cleanse the space that you will have in mind now?

Are you guys ready?

Yes,

Please.

Okay.

So I invite you to close your eyes.

Okay?

Take a couple of deep breaths.

And just allow yourself to relax with each exhale.

And please keep breathing at a pace that feels good to you through this practice.

Okay?

Don't forget to breathe.

Now I want you to connect with the space that you would like to beautify.

The space that you would like to set a new energy.

The space that you would like to cleanse.

And this space can be your office,

Can be your kitchen,

It can be your bedroom.

It can be your garage,

Your attic,

Your closet.

Any space that you feel that needs to change.

And just notice what space comes to mind first.

It's important to notice that.

And maybe that's the space that you want to get started with.

And maybe that's the space that you want to focus on for this practice.

Okay?

If you choose a space and you notice that you are starting to feel very emotional.

To the point that you are feeling overwhelmed and you are having a hard time regulating those emotions.

I will invite you to think about a different space now.

Okay?

Maybe that space is not the right space for you right now.

Maybe you are not ready yet.

And that's okay.

By you getting started in a different space that you can tackle,

You are going to prove yourself that you can do this.

You are going to start gaining momentum,

Motivation.

And then you may be able to go back to that space with new eyes.

With more energy,

With more intention.

And then maybe you can tackle it.

Okay?

So just keep in mind that if you notice strong emotions to the point that they are overwhelming you too much.

Maybe it's not the right time for you to do that space.

And I want you to honor that.

Because you have that space that feels good,

That you are excited about.

I want you to think about it.

Visualize how that space looks like.

I want you to think about how do you want to feel in that space.

What activities would you like to do in that space?

What is your intention for that space?

An example of an intention could be,

Imagine that you have in mind your office.

Maybe your intention is,

I want to create a calm and peaceful space where I can be more focused and more centered when I work.

Maybe you were thinking about a room that you use for crafts or for hobbies.

Maybe your intention is,

I want to create a sacred space for me to be able to tap into my creativity.

A space that is just mine and I get to do with it whatever I want to.

Maybe you were thinking of your bedroom.

And maybe your intention is,

I want to create a sacred sanctuary where I can get beautiful rest every single night.

I want you to think about what is your intention and create one sentence or one word or a couple of words that defines that intention.

Okay?

Once you have that intention,

Then I want you to visualize that space and I want you to visualize yourself in that space,

Feeling that way,

Doing whatever you were envisioning.

And try to feel what you would feel if that space were finished the way you like it.

It's important to connect with these feelings because they are going to help you get excited.

They are going to help you gain clarity.

They are going to help you visualize yourself in your day to day in that space.

And that's going to help you gain confidence when you are going to declutter and organize that space.

Because you have seen yourself in that space finished doing what you really want to be doing.

Once you are connected with that intention that you have and you are able to see that space,

It doesn't have to be completely finished,

But at least you have a first or second step that you can start taking action.

Because sometimes you will not be able to connect with the final result and that's okay.

You are creating your intention in that space and you have to find what is the next step for me to move forward.

And as you keep moving forward,

I promise you the next step will show up at the right time.

And then once you take action on that step,

The next one will show up.

So it is okay if you don't have 100% clarity of how that space looks like yet.

Just allow for some magic to happen and be okay with that uncertainty,

That unknown.

Sometimes that's a good thing.

Some things that you can also do once you have that intention,

You can think about what is a ceremony that feels good to you.

What is a ceremony that you feel inspired to do in that space?

Some examples of ceremonies can be opening all the windows and ventilating that space and then visualizing that all the fresh air that is coming in is full of beautiful fresh energy and all the stagnant energy that was sitting in that space is just going away.

That can be a beautiful ceremony that you can just visualize that and ventilate that space with intention.

Maybe you like burning some kind of herb like cedar or palo santo or anything that you enjoy.

The smell of it,

The experience of it,

The smoke.

And then while you are doing that ceremony,

You are connected with your vision.

You are connected with your intention and you are,

You can even say it out loud what you really want from that space.

Maybe you enjoy essential oils.

Maybe you can have a bottle of water and you can put a few drops of the essential oil that you enjoy and then you can just spray water.

Just miss the air with that essence,

That smell and then visualize that when you are missing that air,

You are cleansing the energy of that space and you are connecting with your intention again,

Repeating what you really want from that space.

There is no right or wrong answer when we are doing a ceremony of this kind.

Another thing that you can explore is if someone else is going to be using that space,

It's beautiful to be able to communicate with each other and to set a common intention.

An intention that feels good to all the people who are involved in that space.

And you can even do the ceremony together if they are open to it.

And if that's not doable or you have different views or different needs,

Sometimes it's okay to try and divide the space in a way that feels good so that you can have your own space when you have full control of it and the other person can have another part of the space.

This can be like you can get a room and the other one another room.

Okay.

This can be maybe I was working with a couple and they decided to,

They were working from home,

And they had a big open space that they were using as living room slash office.

So they kind of divided that room in half.

And then it's each of them had a desk on each half,

But then each of them had a very clear boundary of this is my half,

This is your half,

And this is the common space.

So the common space,

They both decided what to do with it.

And then each other space,

It was their own decision.

And that was their,

Their happy balance.

Okay.

So just think about all these possibilities when you are trying to beautify and cleanse your space.

And think always about the intention behind you taking action,

Doing this activity with this space.

Okay.

You can do this practice,

Anytime that you feel that space feels stagnant,

That space feels cluttered and fulfilling.

Anytime that you feel that you need fresh energy,

You can do any of these things to beautify and cleanse your space,

Bring new energy into it.

You can change the layout of the furniture,

You can rotate pictures from the walls,

You can add plants.

If you have the energy and the money you could paint it in a different color.

You can display things that you love looking at.

There is no right or wrong here guys,

This is your space,

And you get to choose what feels good to you.

Okay.

So when you feel ready,

You can come back,

You can open your eyes.

And I would invite you to,

If you have a journal or a piece of paper,

Just write down the intention that you came up with,

Write down the sentence,

The words,

And remind yourself of those words,

Those intentions for that specific space,

So that you don't forget.

Okay.

It's very important to write things down because that will allow you to first remind yourself of what you really wanted and why.

And second,

You will be able to reflect about what you wanted,

Maybe it evolves over time,

Maybe it changes,

And then you keep evolving.

And you have,

You have track of how it all started and what you wanted,

And what you want now,

And then you see the difference,

And you see how your life evolves,

And you understand more how your needs evolve and your needs and your emotions and everything,

How it changes over time.

It's beautiful to see that too,

To be able to order those changes.

Okay,

So Amy says,

I got very clear that I want a focused,

Feminine,

Soft,

Lovely area to write.

We put a temporary writing desk,

But it's ugly,

So I can tell if I will use it more with a table I love.

Yeah,

Amy,

Thank you so much for sharing.

I hope that you can find the flow,

And as I share in the course that you asked me a question about your desk,

And it's important for you to test the functionality before you make permanent changes,

Just to make sure that it feels good to you.

Sometimes,

Making permanent changes without knowing exactly if they are going to work can feel a little bit overwhelming or a little bit like,

I don't know if I want to spend this money,

This time,

This energy creating this,

If I am not 100% sure if I'm going to use it.

So it really helps,

But just check in with yourself and if you feel that that's not the right approach for you,

Then try something different,

And then see how it feels.

Okay.

Yeah.

Amy says I like the idea of a ceremony with burning sage,

Meditation candles.

I use my Buddha statue.

Yeah,

So you can create whatever ceremony,

Guys,

You want,

Whatever ceremony feels good to you.

My wife and I sometimes we do a burning ceremony.

We have our Tibetan singing bowl,

And sometimes we write things that we want to let go of.

Maybe can be an emotion can be a feeling can be a challenge can be.

So we just write down what we want to let go off,

And then we just burn it in that we just go outside to the party and then we have a little ceremony and then we take in with each other.

And then we just burn,

Whatever that thing is,

And then we visualize the new intention.

So you can do something similar for your space.

You can do something similar for how you want to feel how you want to use that space.

If you want to be creative if you want to be more focused because you work from home.

If you want to be able to relax more.

Maybe you are trying to create a mindfulness practice every day and you need a space that makes you feel like I am getting in my mindfulness space now and it feels good.

So whatever you need.

Just honor it and do it.

There is no right or wrong way here.

Okay.

So CJ says I immediately created a mind map of how I see the room transform.

This was a great exercise I could do it every time I want to make changes.

Yeah,

CJ.

For those who take the course I always invite them to every time you are tackling one space,

Every space is going to have a different intention,

Every space is going to have different needs,

A different mood,

And every space is going to require different actions from you.

So this practice can allow you to,

To have a little bit of time and space for you to think and to connect with what you want to see in that space.

So it's really good to do this practice.

Every time you are tackling a different space,

Or anytime that the space that you are in,

Even if you did it in the past,

It feels stagnant.

It feels like,

I just need to do something different here I need to change my energy,

My intentions,

My,

I just,

I don't feel as motivated and creative so what can I do to change the space to change the energy.

And the physical space,

Changing the physical space,

Sometimes helps you change your physical and emotional state too.

So,

Sometimes it's it's necessary to do that.

So Savannah says,

What to do if one room served many functions.

So,

Savannah,

Beautiful idea,

Beautiful reflection and this is a reality for people who live in smaller spaces like we live in a two bedroom apartment and every space needs to be multifunctional because we don't have a lot of bedrooms,

We don't have a dedicated gym space or practice space so we have to make do with what the space that we have.

So,

I will do an inventory of what do you want to do in that space.

And what it,

What are the intentions,

What are the activities that you want to do in that specific space,

And then brainstorm ideas on how can I make all these things happen.

Okay,

In the course that I have that you can take in the session that I talk about crafts crafts and hobbies.

One of the things that I shared in that in that session is how you can have a multifunctional space for those of you who have different hobbies,

And every hobby every craft requires requires like different supplies different tools.

And then how can you keep that space,

Organized functional.

And at the same time beautify that space in a way that feels good,

But it's also functional and you can do the activities that you want.

And one of the ideas that I that I do with my clients,

A lot when that happens is creating a system for every craft that you are doing.

So if you like,

Like watercolor painting for example,

And you like writing,

And you like sewing,

Let's say that you have those three hobbies,

And you want to do them all in the same space.

So one approach that you can take is,

Can I create a station for each of these hobbies in this space.

A station can be a folding table can be a permanent table can be a corner of the room.

If you don't have space and you only have one table.

Maybe that table needs to serve for the three activities that you want to do.

So maybe you have to contain all the supplies all the materials in maybe in a clear bin that is labeled,

And those bins you can stack them on top of each other nicely,

So that you can take the bin that you are working on,

And then you can work on your project,

And then you can put it away after.

Again,

It depends on your needs and how much space you have.

The solutions are going to be different.

There is not a one solution fits all your needs.

Okay,

But this is just one example of something that we do a lot in smaller spaces in bigger spaces that you can change those intentions for different spaces and then you can create a permanent sewing station so in room,

A permanent watercolor station,

Maybe by the window with your easel and all the supplies are beside you and then you just have to sit down and paint.

Maybe you want a bride and then Amy wanted to create a bride in space.

So maybe that's a different area of the room.

Okay,

So brainstorm ideas,

Check in with yourself,

See what feels good to you.

Okay,

And then once you find something that feels good to you start taking action with that.

I hope that helps.

Okay,

Amy says I have a large closet in my bedroom but very few clothes I imagine beautifying the closet with paint,

Etc,

As my branding area,

But I don't know if I will always feel like I'm sitting in my closet.

Yeah,

So Amy.

You need to work with what you have,

And you have to become resilient.

Right.

So again,

You have to test ideas,

And there are no crazy ideas here.

I've seen people having their offices in closets,

And they close the doors and the office is gone.

I've seen people having the office in under the stairs.

I've seen people having the offices,

Like I have a mobile office so I don't have a permanent office space and I can do my work anywhere I am,

And depending on my mood I change where I go.

So every person is different and unique,

And you can find your own needs and you can test ideas.

So I will test that idea of using that closet.

See how it feels.

Maybe you like it,

Maybe you don't.

Maybe you can beautify it in a different way,

Put more light,

Add a plant,

Maybe you try that and it doesn't work and that's fine.

Then try the next idea.

So there are different ways of doing it and at the end of the day is,

It's finding the motivation and gaining clarity about the activity that you want to do and reminding yourself of how important that is.

Once you are clear on that you can do that pretty much anywhere once you are motivated.

You can write in a coffee place you can write on your couch you can write,

Like,

You will find where you feel inspired to write,

And where you don't.

Okay.

So hopefully that helps.

Another thing that I would like to share about beautifying your space is that sometimes a majority of the people have more art,

More things to display than they have wall space to use.

When that happens many times,

They don't think about beautifying areas of their homes that they don't use as much like closets,

Attics,

Garage,

Basements,

Storage spaces.

Sometimes those areas are just blank.

They just have boxes and they are not nice to look at it's just.

So if you have extra stuff that you don't have space on your walls,

You can always think about,

Maybe I can display this painting on my basement.

Maybe this object can be in my attic.

Maybe this closet can be displayed with these photos that I don't have space on my wall for.

And then all the sudden you start beautifying every space in your home,

And we do this here we open every closet and there are things that we look at things that make us feel well.

And then we also like to rotate things every now and then we rotate the art,

We rotate the pictures,

We rotate the layout of the room,

And that feels like we are giving it fresh energy to that space.

So don't forget about those areas of your home that you can beautify.

You can use your mementos,

The things that you love looking at.

If you don't have physical space in your living room,

Bedroom,

Kitchen,

You still have other areas,

Bathroom,

Office,

Stairs,

Halls.

Okay,

So don't forget all those areas.

Jacqueline says,

Any ideas for kids?

I have tried to create a secret hideout or reading space for the kids but they have completely taken it apart.

Remove the pillows,

Took the lights out,

Etc.

I would like to create a space for them,

But feeling a little frustrated.

Yeah,

Jacqueline.

My daughter,

For example,

Eva,

She's three years old,

Right?

We created a little,

We call it the cozy corner.

That's how they were doing it at school and she liked the concept so we create a little cozy corner for her.

And then she has a,

It's like a little mattress with some pillows,

A blanket,

Some stuffies.

And sometimes she doesn't feel well,

And she says,

I need to go to my cozy corner,

And she grabs her teddy and then she goes to that cozy corner,

And then she just sits there for a little bit.

And then she comes out,

She learned how to self regulate herself sometimes doing that.

Sometimes she takes everything apart.

Absolutely.

But then this is the teaching aspect from you say hey guys,

This is,

This is a cozy corner or a space to do x and y and z.

And then what do you think and also giving them input,

Allowing them to give the input and allowing them to participate in creating what they want is also important,

So that they will respect it more.

But kids are kids and if you have more than one when they are playing.

It's normal that they make a mess,

It's normal that they don't maybe respect the space as much.

So,

You have to find that balance right and then you have to tell them like hey guys,

If you don't respect the space,

I'm just going to take it apart,

And you won't have it.

And that's what I do with my daughter,

Sometimes she brings a toy or she makes a disaster in a corner.

And I say,

Eva is your choice,

If you do that,

Then that's gonna be gone,

And you will have access to it is your choice.

And if she chooses not to respect it,

I will take it away for maybe a few days,

And then she may miss it and say,

Papi I missed the cozy corner so I,

That's my opportunity for me to talk to her and say,

Eva,

What are we supposed to do with the cozy corner,

And what's the cozy corner for,

And are you going to leave it there,

Are you going to respect it so start setting those boundaries but also allow them to be a part of the process,

And hopefully they will,

They will accept that.

And if they don't,

You just take it away,

And then if they don't miss it maybe they don't need it.

Or maybe you have to actually go into that space and you do what you want them to do and you model it for them.

And that's what they're doing with the cozy corner like sometimes I was frustrated,

Eva I don't feel well,

I'm going to the cozy corner.

I'm going to grab a book and I'm going to read and relax.

And I was just,

And I went there and I sat there and I started reading a book.

And then she saw that and then she came with me she sat with me.

And then she understood what I was doing,

And then I told her like,

I want five minutes for myself,

You can play but I don't want to see you now.

I don't want to play with you right now.

So do whatever you want but puppies here relaxing.

And now she says,

Puppy I need to relax,

And then she goes there and does that.

So again,

Kids are very kids are very unique so you have to find you have to test different approaches.

Find what they like,

Find how they function,

And then try to create something that they will respect and enjoy and understand,

And also model it for them at the beginning,

Because if they don't understand what they are doing,

Or why they are doing it,

Or the boundaries that they are supposed to follow is they just play,

And they just make a mess,

And they just have fun,

And it's our job to make it more clear maybe.

I hope that that helps you set up a different system.

Yes,

He says I love that beautiful unexpected spaces I have a friend who does jigsaw puzzles with her husband,

Then mounts and frames them and hangs them on the garage wall.

Yeah guys don't forget about those spaces.

So at the time,

We were doing a session with a with a family.

And I remember he was a doctor.

And then he had half,

It was a two guy garage so half of the garage was a gym,

And all the works in the garage went unfinished.

When we were going through the staff decluttering different areas we we put we always put all the art together,

All the mementos art,

We put it together,

And then at the end of the session when we are done decluttering and organizing,

We will then find spot for all the art.

So they had a lot of pictures that they didn't have space for.

And he had two specific pictures that were really big,

Really large,

And they were about the body.

One was all the muscles of the body,

And the other one was all the bones,

All the skeleton of the body.

And the wife told us he loves these pictures,

We never found a place to display them but he loves them.

He says that every time he looks at them he feels so proud that he became a doctor,

And also it's a good reminder for him to look at those things and identify very quickly,

Like a bone a specific muscle and refresh your memory.

So we were looking around,

And then of course,

There was no space in the house but then we look at the garage.

And then we thought,

He works out here every week.

So what happens if we put them by the treadmill.

And the wife was like,

I never thought of doing that,

I don't know.

And it's like well they are sitting here in the garage,

No one sees them so why wouldn't we put them up there and then give it a try.

So we did that.

We placed them by the treadmill.

And guess what happened.

We got an email a few days later,

Say my husband loves,

Loves walking out.

He loves being able to see those pictures there.

It helps him be able to see muscles,

Tendons,

Bones,

Very easily.

It reminds him of his accomplishment.

And now he's not staring at a blank wall unfinished work he's staring at something that he enjoys.

So keep that in mind.

Closets,

Attics,

Garages,

Basements.

Any space is a good space to beautify,

It's a good space to bring more intention into.

Okay,

So don't forget that.

So Jacqueline says yes thank you boundaries are things I have a hard time expressing will definitely try the cozy space conversation and see to read with them.

Yeah,

Jacqueline.

This is executive functioning skills.

Okay,

There are a lot of them but one of them is modeling,

What you want them to do,

And then learning from you doing what you want them to learn.

Okay,

So there is a very good recipe to teach others how to do things,

And then one is you do it,

And they see you.

Second step is you do it together.

Okay.

The first step,

They do it,

And you watch them and support them along the process.

And the fourth step is they do it alone,

Independently.

Okay,

If you follow that recipe with everything that you are trying to teach them.

It's gonna be very easy for them to understand,

To see you doing it,

And to feel comfortable being independent,

With some support at the beginning,

And you have to be patient you have to leave space for for failure for mistakes.

Okay,

So they have to build that that skill of,

I can do this alone,

It's okay if I fail.

My mom is here if I need her but I will ask when I need her I don't want her to interrupt me or to be impatient.

So,

Start working with that,

That system that those steps,

And then see how they unfold.

Okay.

And yeah boundaries is something that if you don't express them clearly,

People won't understand them.

They will be very very clear and specific and you have to have boundaries that make sense to them too,

Because if they don't make sense,

And they question them,

And they are not really tangible or logical for them.

They will follow them because they will think why do I have to follow these things that doesn't make any sense.

So that's why communication,

And you can invite them to use their,

Their skills of metacognition and adaptive flexibility.

So that they,

They solve the problem so that they can brainstorm ideas of.

Okay,

So this is not working.

What do you think we can do here,

And just allow them to participate in that way and see what what idea they come up with.

Okay.

Okay guys so we have five minutes left.

Do you guys have any specific questions.

I think I covered the basics of beautifying and cleansing the space.

I want you guys to start taking action in whatever feels good to you.

I see here that some people are talking about having an altar.

Some people are talking about using palo Santo incense.

There are many different ways of cleansing and beautifying your space.

So you just have to find the one that works for you.

Okay.

Yeah,

So guys,

Do you have any questions before I go.

Yes,

I reminded that this session is a part of my course,

Creating your peaceful and clutter free home.

So if you guys want to take it to the next level and you want to embark in that journey.

I will invite you to take that course and I will be very excited to support you in the course classroom,

When you do it.

Okay.

So Amy says I would love a brief meditation on the way out because lots of ideas came.

Maybe they will.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Okay,

So let's do that then.

That's a good idea.

Let's just do a little practice to ease out of the session.

Okay,

So I invite you to sit comfortably,

If you can.

Close your eyes if you can if you're not driving or walking.

Connect with your breathing.

Make sure that you are breathing at a pace that feels good to you.

Make sure that you are feeling relaxed with every exhale.

And I want you to just connect with whatever came up for you in the last 40 minutes.

We talk about beautifying the space about cleansing the space.

About ceremonies.

About communication with others using that space.

We talk about how important it is to set the intention.

So that you get clear on what you want.

How you want to feel.

The activities that you want to do.

And we also talk about the importance of first decluttering and organizing that space.

Really working on the functionality of the space before we work on how it looks like.

So from all these general ideas that we shared,

I want you to connect with yourself and how you feel.

You also picked a specific space when we did the practice at the beginning.

Just connect with yourself and feel if that space is still the relevant one for you.

And if that's still the space that is relevant for you,

Then ask yourself what is the next step for me to move forward with beautifying and cleansing this space?

What is it?

Do you need to display things that you haven't yet?

Do you need to change the layout?

Do you need to have conversations with someone else that is also using that space so that you can together create a common intention?

Maybe you have to talk about boundaries and create a defined space that is just yours.

Maybe you have to test ideas that you have.

Maybe you want to do some hobbies there and you don't have the systems in place yet.

So you have to discover and explore different possibilities.

Sometimes the best way to learn is to actually do it.

So if you like doing a specific craft,

I would invite you to start doing that craft in that space.

When you start to do it,

You will start noticing what's missing,

Things that you could improve,

Storage that you could create for your supplies.

Maybe you discover that you don't like sitting in that place and you change the table beside the window or maybe you change the table to the other corner of the room because it just feels better to you,

Even if you don't know why.

Just allow yourself some uncertainty.

It's okay not knowing.

It's okay to allow yourself time to explore.

Just be present doing what you want to be doing and noticing what's coming up.

Oh,

Okay.

I'm setting these workbench here and I started working on this carving project that I have.

I noticed that I just don't like the light behind me because it creates a shade,

A shadow in front of me and I can't see very well.

So then you have a notebook beside you and you say,

Okay,

I will move that light into the right or into the left.

Or maybe,

Wow,

When I finish my project,

I don't have a place to place all my tools.

So maybe I need to get a bin.

Oh,

This bin can live in this shelf.

Let me measure that shelf.

Okay,

It's 18 by 12.

Okay,

I'm going to write on my journal and next time I go to the store,

I'm going to see if I can find this measurement,

This specific bin,

Or maybe I have something already at home or maybe a shoebox will do in the meantime so that I can test the idea.

You see,

You start evolving.

Ideas start coming to you and you will only find these answers while doing what you want to be doing.

If you never take action,

If you don't get started,

It's very difficult for you to know what's next.

So I am inviting you to allow yourself space and time to just get started doing whatever it is that you want to be doing.

And then once you get started,

The next step will show up and the next step will show up and a new idea will show up.

And when you check,

You will be almost done and you will be,

Wow,

That was magical.

I can't believe how things work out.

And guys,

I promise you,

This happens to us,

To my wife and me,

Every time we do a session with a client.

Sometimes we get into a space and sometimes I can sense a little bit of overwhelming myself,

Like,

Wow,

I don't know where to get started here.

But then I focus on the next step that is clear to me.

And then I honor that and I follow that step.

And then I can promise you that things start working out and things start falling into place in a way that I can't believe it sometimes.

It's kind of magical.

And I know that some of you will say,

Wow,

That's that's so ridiculous.

But it is the truth.

Sometimes you don't have all the answers when you get started.

And that is OK.

OK,

That is OK.

So just if I want you to take something from this session today,

Guys,

Is this.

You don't need to have all the answers.

OK,

You just need to know the intention that you have and you need to allow yourself to get started with the knowledge that you have.

Right now.

OK,

Get started.

Start doing what you want to be doing and you will start finding out what you need to change.

Frustrations that will show up and then with curiosity and an open mind,

Start brainstorming ideas.

What can I do to do this differently?

Where can I store this thing now?

Wow,

I really like that painting.

Maybe I can put it in front of me here.

And then you will start finding the answers.

OK,

But you have to allow yourself to get started.

You don't have please don't be perfectionist.

Please don't overwhelm yourself trying to create the perfect magazine looking room.

And then you will never get started.

You will always feel overwhelmed and frozen.

Just get started doing what you love.

And when you start spending time doing what you love and getting in the flow and really feeling well with yourself.

Energy is going to come to you.

Ideas are going to come to you.

New possibilities are going to show up.

OK,

And just be open to them.

Amy says,

I love the word magical transformation.

It's light and encouraging and even fun.

It feels playful and much less heavy and overwhelming.

Guys,

It is the truth.

Honestly,

Sometimes I don't have words to describe how the session unfolds.

And then many times,

Majority of the clients say,

I just can't believe how everything worked out the way it did.

That's what majority of the people say.

And I don't have a clear answer for that.

The only thing I can say is we just got started.

And through the process of doing it,

We started to get answers.

We started to see things more clearly.

The person started to make more confident decisions.

The person started connecting more with the intentions that they wanted.

And then the items also reminded them of like,

I don't really want to do this anymore or I really want to do that.

And I didn't have the time.

I didn't create the time before.

So when those things start happening,

Everything starts flowing.

And that's why the decluttering process is so magical and so powerful,

Because you are confronting yourself.

You are confronting your reality.

You are questioning everything.

And if you attack that,

If you do that process with curiosity,

With playfulness,

With an open mind and with excitement about what's to come.

You will start finding those answers and the process will start being more enjoyable and less overwhelming.

But you need to trust and you need to get started.

OK,

So,

Guys,

Get started.

Whatever that next step is for you,

Take action.

OK.

Yeah,

Amy says in sobriety,

We say just do the next right thing.

And if you don't know what that is,

Do the next to the next right thing and the magic will start to unfold on its own.

But we have to take the first step.

Absolutely.

100 percent agree with that.

You have to get started.

So I am inviting you today to just do that.

OK,

Whatever that is for you.

Get started.

OK.

So,

Guys,

Thank you so much for being here today.

Thank you so much for sharing your time.

I hope that this session invites you to beautify and cleanse your beautiful spaces one at a time.

And remember that if you need support and help,

I am here in the form of the course that I created,

In the form of engaging in the course classroom after every lesson,

In the form of all my recordings and in the form of one on one sessions if you need them.

OK,

I am here to support you in any way that you need.

Thank you so much for your presence again.

And I can't wait to be with you again.

OK.

Adios,

Guys.

Thank you Emilio 🤗 I find it easier to work on decluttering when I'm listening to someone talk. So this has been helpful already, but I will listen again sometime when I can take everything you say in better. Thank you for helping me declutter way more calmly. Your voice is very soothing. I love that you're compassionate, caring and genuine. 🙏 I feeling so grateful to have found you here, and for all that you do. 😊
