Hello and welcome to your meditation for strength.
Today we'll be focusing on Ephesians 10.
Before we begin,
I invite you into a comfortable position.
Keep your gaze soft or close your eyes if you feel comfortable.
I invite you to start bringing your attention to the Holy Spirit.
To your breath moving in and out of your lungs.
To the provision that God has blessed with you.
Let's read our scripture today.
Finally,
Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's scheme.
Finally,
Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.
I want you to imagine putting on the armor of God today.
Standing firm with the belt of truth buckled around your waist.
The breastplate of righteousness strapped to your chest.
Your feet is fitted with the readiness from the gospel of peace.
You have the shield of faith in one arm and then the other the sword of the Spirit,
Which we know is God's word.
And we have the helmet of salvation upon our head.
What does this look like to you?
What does it feel like?
Divine strength isn't showy.
It's the way Christ sits with us and our sorrow.
It's the way we wake up again every morning and keep going even when we doubt it.
It's facing a mountain.
Or a conversation and being sustained even when we don't realize.
Strength is going to that job every morning or caring for someone or taking our medicine or coming to God in prayer.
I don't think we could do any of these things without God's strength.
Psalms 28 7 says,
The Lord is my strength and my shield.
My heart trusts in him.
The Lord is my strength and my shield.
My heart trusts in him.
I want to invite you into the concept of what that armor looks like and what trusting in God looks like.
Are we bold in our strength and power that is given through us through Jesus Christ,
Or are we timid?
Where can we be stronger?
I invite you to think about.
What difference it would make in your everyday life.
If you put the armor of God on every morning.
Where would it steer your conversations?
Your emotions.
Your words and reactions.
I pray that you may declare God's word boldly and fiercely.
Coming back to your breath.
Feeling it move in and out of your lungs.
Feel your sit bones pressing into the ground.
The crown of your head lifting tall.
Thank you for practicing with me today.
Take that armor and put it on every single day.
Have a blessed day.
