Authentic & Egoic Manifesting
What are the different ways of manifesting and how do they work? In this episode I dive into different ways of manifesting and what way is healthy and what way causes more work. Manifesting from our authentic heartfelt desires is a beautiful and fulfilling process. Manifesting from our egoic wants might also give us the original accomplishment that we're attached to but it simply delays our real growth.

Welcome to Life Lessons and Laughter with your host,
Glenn Ambrose.
Hey everybody,
Welcome to Life Lessons and Laughter with me.
So today we're going to dive into manifesting,
Which is kind of one of my pet peeve topics.
I have a few of them.
I just think that a lot of the manifesting that's been taught over the last 20 years is not good.
Not good.
I think it lends itself to an egoic way of thinking.
I think it's incomplete,
A lot of what they teach.
And I disagree.
Quite honestly,
I flat out disagree with a lot of what is being taught with manifesting,
Especially about constantly putting energy towards something.
I mean,
I understand energy and how it can help in manifesting,
But the way it's taught,
I just think is off.
Which is why,
You know,
Like manifesting is gigantically popular,
It has been for the last 25 years.
And yet,
Most people that are practicing manifesting,
Like from a spiritual perspective and the spiritual communities,
It's not successful,
And or it's not consistently successful.
So and I think there's reasons for that.
But the other night,
I was I was thinking about I don't know,
I don't know how this popped into my head.
But I was I was thinking about the different energies of manifesting.
Okay,
Like there's always there's always a yin and a yang,
There's always two ways of everything.
We're always looking for the middle ground between two things and in what we do.
And so this mentality of yang and yang,
Two sides to every coin in this reality,
I think is so important.
And it it shows itself in so many different ways.
It shows itself in like energies there,
There's toxic,
And there's healthy.
So there's two sides of every energy.
And so that's kind of the mentality that I'm coming in on this podcast today.
So,
You know,
Manifesting,
We can manifest through focused energy.
Well,
I'll get into the focused energy aspect a little later,
I just want to lay the groundwork of what I'm talking about here.
And it's egoic,
Or authentic.
Okay.
So what I mean by that is that a lot of times people will manifest through egoic wants,
Like what they want on an egoic level.
Because we're,
We're kind of living in an egoic reality,
Most,
Most people,
And even if you're living,
Even if you're awake,
Spiritually,
It can be tricky to,
To know what you really want,
Because it's a really good way for the ego to sneak in.
You know,
You go because you can come up with all kinds of wonderful ideas,
Like you can be like,
Well,
I want to,
I want to manifest a million dollars,
But it's not for me,
It's not for me,
I,
I'm not doing egoically,
I just want to help other people.
And I want to be a symbol of God's love,
And an expression of God's love.
And I want to help other people.
This is why I want to manifest a million dollars.
And if that sounds nice,
It sounds nice.
But if it's coming from an egoic place,
Like we can use our rationale,
This is this is kind of one of the trickiest way,
Things about living spiritually,
Is we can still rationalize our behavior and make it sound nice on a surface level,
When the energy underneath is completely off.
Okay.
So,
You know,
So some people,
Some people want to manifest a million dollars,
Because they want to help other people.
And it's an expression of themselves.
And it's this beautiful,
Wonderful thing.
And that's authentic,
Right.
And then there are other people who want to fit who would actually be happy either not manifesting million dollars,
Or if they were,
If if they got honest with themselves,
They would man manifest the million dollars to stabilize their earthly structures,
And then go out and help other people through authenticity.
See,
It sounds the same,
But it's the energy that's different.
And this is what we need to,
I mean,
We can do this in a lot of areas.
But of course,
I'm going to try to talk about it here in the manifesting mentality.
So so what I'm laughing because this like sounds confusing at first,
Just bear with me,
I'll explain it.
So like,
You can actually manifest for the same reason,
Kind of,
On a surface level,
The reason can look and sound the same egoic,
Or authentic.
Okay.
So I'll,
You know,
I'll continue on with the example I'm using.
So if I say,
I want to manifest a million dollars,
Because I want to help other people.
If it's egoic,
That could be because you want to feel like a good person.
Like you,
This is why many people do many things in the spiritual communities.
And outside the spiritual communities,
They,
Everybody wants to be a good person.
So and we know this,
We know we want to be good people.
So it's it and it feels good to be a good person.
So but if it's coming from an egoic drive for acceptance,
And to feel better about ourselves,
It's still ego.
It's not authenticity.
It's not spirituality.
It's not love.
What it is,
Is ego.
Just ego,
And that's the energy of it.
Okay,
And that's what's important.
That's what we have to pay attention to not the words that are coming out of our mouth or not the words that are going through our brain.
But going deeper,
We need to go deeper and find out what is driving us.
This is why the the capability of being honest with ourselves is so important.
You know,
I've talked about it many times,
Learn to be honest with yourself,
Learn to go in and ask yourself questions.
This is one of the things that has served me very,
Very well over the years.
It's one of the things it's maybe one of the things if not the thing that serves me the best is my that I'll go inside and do gut checks.
I will go inside and and feel the energy of what I'm saying to see if I'm manipulating or rationalizing myself.
It all starts with us.
Like,
It's quite honestly,
When I when I woke up spiritually,
I decided I wanted to be honest,
Right.
And I was I've said this before,
I think I was honest,
More honest than most people quite,
Quite,
Quite honestly.
Um,
Even as an alcoholic,
I was more honest than a lot of alcoholics.
I was taught very early on to take responsibility for my actions.
And quite honestly,
I didn't have a fear of consequences,
Which probably lent into me being more honest.
And I think it was actually a drive for me to try to like myself on some level to when I was so miserable when I was younger,
Like,
You know,
I just kind of there were certain aspects of being a good person,
Like not thinking I was better than others,
Being honest,
Treating other people with respect that I tried to do as consistently as possible,
Because inside I was,
You know,
I hated myself.
So,
So like,
I needed to do some of that stuff to try to balance it out.
So I didn't spiral into any more depressions than I already did.
But we but it's,
It's so when I when I woke up,
And I learned,
I was like,
Okay,
I'm going to be honest with,
I'm going to be honest,
Period.
That was the intention.
I noticed,
First thing that I was pretty honest with people,
You know,
I mean,
There was room for growth,
I needed to learn how to phrase things,
Want to keep my mouth shut,
Stuff like that.
But I found that in my past,
The person I was most dishonest with was myself,
That I needed to do a lot of work on.
Being honest with other people was fairly easy.
But a lot of work being honest with myself,
I needed to be because you know,
Like just one quick example.
My parents didn't really give me money.
Like,
You know,
I was out on my own when I was 18,
Got my own apartment.
And other than a couple crashes,
Where I stayed in their house for brief periods,
I was out on my own,
Most of my life.
And they didn't really give me money to help.
Because they could tell that my thinking was off.
I couldn't Yeah,
But they could.
So,
You know,
So basically,
If they gave me money to help me out,
It might get me through a little specific situation,
But I was just gonna end up in another one.
And I did.
And not only that,
But I would create a whole plan on how to pay them back.
And then like the two times they gave me money when I was younger,
I didn't pay them back,
Even though I had a plan to pay them back.
And I and I truly believed the plan.
Like this was,
You know,
We talked about this once I got sober and stuff.
And,
And is like,
When I made a plan to pay them back,
I truly believed that I was going to pay them back.
And my parents were like,
Well,
We kind of knew that you wouldn't.
And I was like,
Wow,
That's so interesting.
You know,
They knew me better than myself.
And I wouldn't have been able to hear that back then I would have been like,
Of course I am,
You know.
But it's it's about being honest with ourselves.
Okay,
So I guess if there's one takeaway that I want everybody to get out of this is learn to be honest with yourself,
Learn to be honest with yourself,
Learn to go within and read your own energy,
And find out when you're rationalizing your own behavior.
Okay,
Because that is invaluable.
And the manifesting,
What we're going to talk about is an example of that and why it's so important.
And hopefully,
As I go through and explain the dynamics of all this stuff,
You know,
It's going to help you in manifesting whatever you want,
But it's also going to help you in many other areas,
Because you're going to be able to tell the difference between your ego and your authentic self.
So,
So back to this,
So we can,
You know,
Like,
If,
If we say,
Okay,
I want to,
I want to manifest a million dollars,
Because I want to help others.
And that's because we want to feel like a good person,
Then that's egoic.
But if we say,
Okay,
I want to manifest a million dollars,
Because I want to help others,
And it's through our authentic self,
Then the energy is completely different.
Okay,
And one of the reasons why this is such a good example of,
Of what happens when your energy is off,
There's a,
You're going to see there's a gigantic difference between manifesting egoically and manifesting authentically,
Because it's not what about what you manifest,
It's not about what you manifest,
It's about why you're manifesting it.
It's because that is what controls the energy of it.
It's your why that controls the energy of it.
So it's not what we do,
It's why we do it,
That determines the energy.
So if,
If we're manifesting from an egoic place,
It's because we don't feel good,
Good about ourselves.
And we're trying to put a bandaid on a broken leg,
Like we're gonna go and it's not going to work.
That's why.
That's why it's so important.
I mean,
That one,
There's a decent chance you won't even manifest the million dollars.
But let's say you're good at manifesting,
And you do,
You're going to probably do whatever it takes to get the million dollars.
So you might sacrifice yourself along the way.
And even if you don't,
Like,
Let's say you're on the spiritual path.
And you're like,
You know,
You're just trying to be a good person in as many ways as possible.
And you live by spiritual principles and all this stuff.
And you figure out how to manifest a million dollars,
But it's for for the wrong reasons.
And you're completely unaware.
Because you didn't learn to be honest with yourself.
So the energy is wrong,
And you do it,
You manifest a million dollars,
You start running some projects,
You help some other people and stuff,
You're going to feel empty,
You're going to feel unfulfilled,
It's not going to fill you up the way you think it is.
Why?
Because your why was off.
You weren't being honest with yourself.
So you were just manifesting money to try to feel better about yourself,
Which money can't make you feel better about yourself,
Or you're manifesting a way to help other people.
Helping other people can't make you feel good about yourself.
You have to feel good about yourself,
Period.
Now,
Once you feel good about yourself,
You know,
I'm not saying that you can't feel good about yourself at all.
I mean,
Of course,
Anybody that goes out,
Whether they're completely egoic centered,
If you go out and help somebody else,
Without thinking about yourself,
There's going to be a positive feedback,
It's going to feel good.
Okay,
Why?
Because it's good to help other people.
So therefore,
You're going to experience it.
So therefore,
Your body gives you a positive feedback.
So you're going to experience some joy,
Some happiness,
When you help other people,
Of course,
The problem is,
Is that it's the bandaid on the broken leg,
It's never going to fix that hole inside of you.
It'll make you feel a little bit better temporarily,
But that's egoic.
That's,
It's,
It's just it,
You know,
I've said it before,
It's like trying to fill that hole inside of you with the idea of dirt,
There's no substance to it.
It's like,
You'll,
You'll help other people and you'll feel good.
And then,
Like,
You know,
What happens when your project is done?
Well,
Now you feel like crap about yourself again.
Or,
You know,
You do this big project,
And then,
And it helps people and then you're on a high for two weeks,
And then what?
Now you got to go do something else to make yourself feel better about yourself.
You see what I'm saying?
That's what happens when it's egoic.
So when we when we desire,
When we when we manifest our egoic wants,
What we want on an egoic level,
With reasoning that comes from an egoic level,
That what we do is we like egoic wants can produce an accomplishment.
You know,
If you focus enough on it,
And you accomplish what you you can accomplish what you want to accomplish.
See people manifest egoically all the time.
I mean,
This is most of the people in the entertainment industry that are highly successful.
I mean,
Most of them,
Of course,
There's some that are that understand it,
But most of them,
Even the ones that understand it,
From what I've seen,
The the,
The actors,
The musicians and stuff,
Because manifesting is getting more popular,
You know.
So even the ones that understand that most of them,
Like,
Some of them did it along the way.
And a lot of them did it egoically along the way,
Because they didn't fully understand what they were doing.
But then once they get there,
They open up,
And they're like,
Oh,
My God,
Then they get deep.
Like,
I think Jim Carrey was a good example.
You know,
Like,
He manifested a $6 million paycheck for an acting thing,
You know,
He was putting it out there manifesting and all this stuff.
And then he does it.
Now,
He was miserable,
And was like,
All messed up in his life,
Right?
Why?
Well,
Because he manifested what he thought he wanted in on the egoic level,
Then he wakes up spiritually,
Through suffering later on,
Right?
Now,
All of a sudden,
He can manifest from an authentic desire.
So,
You know,
To kind of put words and try to simplify what I'm talking about the difference between the two egoic wants produces the wanted accomplishment at the cost of yourself.
It's at the cost of who you truly are.
And this is why many people induce suffering even once they reach their accomplishments.
Okay?
Now,
Authentic desires when you manifest from an authentic you space,
And an authentic desire that was that it comes from within you,
When you manifest from that it produces,
It also produces the wanted accomplishment,
But it's in the support of yourself.
It's not at the cost of yourself,
It's in support of yourself.
So that's the main difference.
So if you're manifesting your authentic desires from a place of authenticity,
From a deep desire,
Then you're going to it supports who you are,
It supports you becoming more of who you truly are.
And then when you reach your accomplishment or your manifestation,
It's an expression of who you truly are,
And you're even more of yourself.
And it's much more fulfilling.
And this is what we all want.
Right,
That that's when we do it the right way.
When we do it the wrong way,
That's egoic.
We Yeah,
We still we can still hit our accomplishment.
Because manifesting like the universe doesn't judge us,
It matches us.
It's not sitting there going,
Well,
Geez,
You know,
This,
This person is manifesting the,
You know,
Using the law of manifestation or,
Or the law of attraction.
But they're not doing it from the right direction.
So often that law isn't going to work anymore.
So that's not how it works.
We have free will,
We can do whatever we want.
As you can see,
By our society,
Our society has been driven by egoic wants for 10s of 1000s of years.
And we accomplish all kinds of amazing stuff.
We can put a man on the moon,
We can create buildings that are so high,
We can't even fathom,
Like we can we can create and accomplish anything through,
Through our egoic ways.
If we,
If that's what we try to do,
And we've done it,
The problem is,
Is there's no fulfillment there.
There's no,
It doesn't benefit the world,
Really.
I mean,
It can short term,
You know,
Certain aspects of it.
But it's when we take those manifestations and start using them in alignment with authenticity,
With alignment with nature,
Alignment with who we truly are,
That they become really profound,
And earth changing and life changing and wonderful.
So if you're going to spend your time moving towards something,
Manifesting something,
Trying to bring something into this reality,
Take your time,
And go within first.
So,
So this is like,
This is,
You know,
This is the dynamic,
There's another dynamic,
Like I mentioned about manifesting,
That I think is off that most people teach.
But this is one of the main parts.
And I could feel this,
Oh,
My God,
20,
Almost,
You know,
That there was just something off with the manifesting teachings.
And this was basically what I came to.
And I was tossing it around,
Off and on for years,
Probably expressing it to people when it would come up.
And,
But I didn't have the best words to it,
I guess.
Or I felt I could use better words.
So Eckhart Tolle came out with a manifesting course.
And I was at the stage where I had stopped taking in a lot of information,
I went through a stage where I needed to,
And then it just stopped,
It cut off.
And it's been pretty much cut off ever since,
To varying degrees.
So I don't take in new information in a educational way very well.
And really,
The only stage of my life,
Excuse me,
That I did,
Actually,
That water was supposed to help it hurt.
Excuse me.
So yeah,
I don't take in information from an in an educational way.
Well,
I mean,
I can do it.
I did well in school when I was younger,
But I don't like doing it.
It's not natural to me.
So the one time that I needed to take in information,
It was because I had opened up conceptually,
And I understood all kinds of things.
But I needed to understand them on a better intellectual level,
So I could find the words and all that.
So that was when I took in information,
Like,
Five,
Six,
Seven years,
Eight years,
Maybe.
And then after that,
It's kind of shut off.
So stuff comes to me conceptually.
And that's much deeper.
That's how I like it.
So I had a feeling I wasn't going to finish this course.
But it was totally.
And I was like,
If anybody is going to teach manifesting in a way and be able to put words to it in a way that I'm going to resonate with,
I think that he will be able to do this.
So I took the course and I didn't end up finishing it.
But right in the beginning,
Totally.
The first thing he leans into is he says,
When you if you want to manifest something,
The first thing you have to do is let go of manifesting.
Which sounds counterintuitive,
But I'm like,
Yes.
And he's like,
What you need to do is connect to your source,
Connect to your source.
You have to have a strong connection to your source first.
Then you can manifest out of that.
And I'm like,
Yes.
So this is another way to say what I'm saying.
It's most people try to manifest for egoic reasons,
And they're not even aware that that's what they're manifesting for.
And it's not that powerful and it's sporadic and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
And even when it does,
It's not fulfilling because it's not authentic.
So but when you connect to source,
Connect to source,
Right?
And you're you're really feeling like,
You know,
You know,
Over and over again until you're used to that feeling.
And you're like,
Okay,
I'm connected to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source.
And then you're like,
Okay,
I'm going to connect to source and take a week or two just to connect to source,
Like multiple times a day,
Connect to source.
Just sit in a vibration of connection,
Of love.
And then bring in some of these things that you want to manifest.
Some of these things that you think you want,
Right?
And what you're going to find if you're really deeply connected is that you don't even really want most of these things.
It's actually our ego thinking that we'll be happy if we get them.
These things that sound nice.
Oh,
I want a cabin in the woods.
You know,
Everybody says they want a cabin in the woods.
I live in a little house in the woods.
And I'll tell you what,
Most people couldn't do it.
Not in Dominican Republic.
Why do I say that?
Because I see it all the time.
People say they want something,
And,
But it's on an egoic level,
And they don't even know that they want it.
And then what happens is they get it,
And it's not that fulfilling,
Or they need something else,
So they don't like it,
Right?
That doesn't happen with authentic desires ever.
It happens with egoic wants.
So,
And don't get me wrong,
I love a cabin in the woods.
That's why I'm here.
But a lot of people probably wouldn't like it.
It can be too seclusive for some.
So this is what we're trying to weed through.
So when you really are centered and connected to your source,
You're going to find that a lot of the things that you thought you wanted,
You don't really want.
I mean,
You kind of want them,
And if you had got them,
It'd be cool.
Like,
I want a new truck,
Right?
I want a new truck.
Yeah,
I do.
But that's not a heartfelt desire.
It's not like,
Oh,
I'm going to be fulfilled if I get it.
No,
It's not.
It's a freaking vehicle.
It's a piece of metal.
I'm not going to be all fulfilled when I get my new truck.
But I know that.
So I don't act like it's an authentic desire.
I know the difference between the two,
Right?
So this is what we need to work on.
When you're connected to source,
You're going to find a lot of your egoic wants just fall away,
And it's not that you can't get them.
You can still get them.
It's just about being honest with yourself as to why you want them and in what order you want to manifest.
Like,
If you have an egoic desire for a new house or a million dollars or something,
And you want that,
You can still have it.
But what you want to do is connect to your authentic self.
So how do you want to express yourself?
What do you truly desire?
Oh,
I truly desire,
They're more profound things.
I truly desire freedom.
I truly desire freedom to enjoy all the blessings that this world has to offer and experience them without having to worry about money on a personal level.
And as an extension of one of the reasons why I want to manifest money is because I can do philanthropic work,
Not throwing money at an issue,
But philanthropic work where you create something that the people that are having the problem that you're trying to help them with changes the problem long-term.
It eradicates the problem.
So it's no longer a problem in that area.
And these people can derive hope and self-sustaining ways of life so they can live a happier,
More fulfilled life moving forward because of the project that I do.
Like these are the types of things that I'm manifesting.
They're deeper,
They have deeper meaning.
So that's just because I want something.
Now,
I'll get the new truck.
Why?
Because as I'm doing these projects,
I'm gonna need a truck to support me in these things.
So that'll come.
Well,
I'm not sitting there going,
Oh,
I need to manifest a new truck.
To me,
That's so shallow and so minimal.
Like,
Why?
Why not get everything?
Why not get things?
Why not manifest what feeds your soul?
Why not manifest what feeds the world and aspects of it and is an expression of who you truly are and what your heart really desires to bring into this world?
We all have things that we can bring into this world that are profound and beautiful and help others and help ourselves and it's just beautiful.
So like,
We need to get connected to what that is inside of us personally and then head in that direction.
And that's where deep fulfillment comes.
That's where profound help comes from for others.
And that's the beautiful thing.
So it's come back to the beginning,
Right?
And we have to differentiate between the energy is what are we manifesting from?
Egoic wants or authentic heartfelt desires?
Is it,
Oh yeah.
And we're gonna know.
We can BS ourselves.
We can rationalize,
Oh no,
I wanna start a nonprofit because just as the word nonprofit,
Like half of them out there,
I mean,
Don't get me wrong.
A lot of them do wonderful work.
I mean,
I'm a big fan of some nonprofits,
But like a lot of times when people say they wanna start a nonprofit,
You can feel the insecure energy inside of them.
Oh,
I wanna start a nonprofit because I wanna help others.
It's like,
Oh,
No,
You don't.
And those are the ones that I have to shut my mouth on because it's like,
You can feel it.
It's like,
Oh no,
You don't.
You're just saying that because it sounds good and it makes you feel like a good person.
And they're not gonna be able to hear,
Most people in that situation aren't gonna be able to hear if I actually said to them,
No,
You don't.
You just wanna feel like a good person.
No,
No,
No,
No.
So it's just not worth saying usually when somebody is all caught up in that.
What will happen is if they do,
They'll either not going to manifest it and then maybe the struggle of them not manifesting it is going to make them suffer.
And then through suffering,
Then they can connect to their true heartfelt desires instead of just surface-y stuff.
Or they actually will manifest it and they'll start helping people,
But it won't be fulfilling and they won't know what's off.
And then they'll suffer through that.
And then they can find their authentic self,
Right?
So there's many paths to the same shore.
So it's not for me to judge whether they're doing it right or whether they're doing it wrong.
It's just sometimes I love to help people and I happen to be able to read energy pretty well.
So sometimes it's tough just going,
Oh no,
They're running in the wrong direction.
But usually,
Part of reading energy,
And this might be something else you guys could work on when you're exposed to this type of stuff with other people,
Is that part of reading energy is we can read energy in more ways than one,
Right?
So if somebody comes up to me and says,
I'm going to sign a nonprofit because I want to help people and benefit the world.
And it just feels like an egoic want to me,
I can tune into that energy a little more and go,
Okay,
Are they open to hearing another alternative?
Are they open to hearing that they should connect to their source first or connect to themselves and then learn to develop a authentic desire and produce something out of that?
Are they open to hearing that if I try to phrase it correctly?
And most of the time the answer is no and then I have to keep my mouth shut.
But every once in a while,
There is,
I get a yes.
And then I'm like,
Okay,
Then I kind of scan my brain and go,
Okay,
How can I phrase this in a way that they're not going to get defensive right off the bat?
And this is just,
What I'm talking about is just kind of moments that happen out in public or when I'm meeting people that I'm not their life coach.
It's a scenario where I'm not their life coach.
That's what I'm talking about.
Because anybody that works with me knows what finds out pretty quickly.
I don't really sugar coat stuff much when I'm coaching because quite honestly,
It's a waste of time.
So if somebody is working with me,
They know that they're going to catch it right between the eyes.
Like if you're telling me you want to manifest something and I can feel that it's egoic,
I'm going to tell you it's egoic and you need to come at this a different way and try to help you get there.
I'm not going to waste time just going,
Oh,
Well,
You know,
Like trying to find out the right words to not offend you.
Like I'm here to help.
Like my client,
This is what's cool about working with my clients is I am very straightforward and I don't mix words because I want to help.
And I'm not here to hold hands.
I'm here to share different perspectives.
And my clients understand that and they accept that about me.
So if I come across a little harsh,
Sometimes I'll be like,
Hey,
You know,
I can feel it.
And I'm like,
I know that stings,
But bear with me,
You know,
Something like that.
But I'm just going to come right at it because it's all out of love.
I'm just trying to help.
And 99% of the time,
People can feel that.
They can feel the energy in which I'm doing it.
So it might sting at first,
But they know,
Hey,
I'm paying Glenn to try to help me.
So me getting defensive and shutting down and not allowing him to help me is not going to serve me.
I need to stay open.
This is how he talks.
He doesn't,
He's not trying to hurt my feelings.
It just hurts my feelings because it hit something that,
You know,
And it stung a little,
It hit a truth inside of me and I didn't like it.
Or I was rationalizing and BSing myself and I didn't even know I was doing it.
And then he just pointed it out,
Ouch.
But is there a truth to it,
You know?
So it's easier to work through with my clients,
People out that aren't my clients,
I have to be,
Try to be a little bit more gentle with or just keep my mouth shut,
Keep my mouth shut.
So,
But this is what we need to do with ourselves.
Everything that I'm talking about,
Like what I do with other people and stuff,
We need to do this with ourselves.
And,
You know,
Maybe we can guide some other people on the way too.
So that,
You know,
I think that's pretty much what I want to talk about.
I'll just kind of do a recap and see if anything else bubbles up.
But it's,
We can manifest,
You know,
Whether we manifest through our egoic wants or our authentic heartfelt desires,
We're going to,
We can accomplish what we want to accomplish.
People do it all the time.
People manifest for the wrong reasons.
People manifest out of sheer greed all the time.
Like that's,
Greed is a very low level energy,
Right?
And people manifest out of it all the time.
It's probably the number one way people manifest wealth is through greed energy.
Right?
So we can manifest through negative energies.
And I think that this is what throws people off sometimes is they see people doing it and they're like,
Oh,
Well,
I must have to do it that way.
I must have to manifest through greed.
I must have to really want money for the sake of having money or something because that's how they did it.
It's like,
No,
There's different ways of manifesting.
And this is the people who manifest through greed.
One of two things happens.
Well,
They always end up unhappy,
But what they do is either that unhappiness settles in and they can get suicidal,
Depressed,
Unfulfilled,
All those types of things,
Right?
It can come out like that.
Excuse me.
I don't usually do a podcast this early in the morning and my voice is not woken up yet,
Apparently.
Yeah,
I have been having a little bit of trouble lately.
I think it's my breathing patterns.
That actually makes me hoarse,
So.
But anyway,
So like when people manifest through greed,
They're either going to end up unfulfilled and suffering or they'll double down on the greed and they'll just be addicted to more.
I just need more,
More,
More,
More.
This is why we have trillionaires.
And quite frankly,
Billionaires,
They're addicted to more.
It's just the,
That's the pattern there.
That's the egoic pattern that they're stuck in.
It's they just achieve and acquire and then the whole world pats them on the back and says they're doing wonderful things.
And so they double down and do more.
And then,
You know,
And they feel like they're doing something,
But then there's this hole inside that they need to fill.
So they do more.
And they never just stop and go,
I mean,
Why do I always need to do more?
Like,
Is this what life's about?
And for them,
Some people,
A lot of them settle in and just say,
Yeah,
This is what life's about.
And then they just swallow that and they keep doing what they're doing.
So they either get addicted to more or they suffer.
And then,
You know,
Some people get really depressed and all kinds of bad things happen,
Or they will wake up spiritually.
You know,
Like I said,
I use Jim Carrey,
But there's a lot of them out there where,
You know,
Like Jim Carrey said,
So I didn't know this was gonna come up,
But I remember Jim Carrey once saying,
I wish that everybody could become rich and successful so that they could find out that that's not it.
And there's so much truth to that.
It's like,
Everybody thinks that all their problems are going to be solved if they were rich,
And it's not.
Like,
You'll just have different problems.
And a lot of rich people have found this out,
And that's what leads them to waking up.
But that's,
You know,
That's how it works.
There are many paths to the same shore.
So some people have to get rich and then find out being rich doesn't make them happy,
And then they wake up.
Some people have to suffer in poverty.
And then they wake up through that type of suffering.
We can wake up through many different types of suffering.
And it's,
You know,
And guess which type you need.
Whatever's going on in your life,
That's what you need.
That's why it's going on in your life.
So if you're poor,
Suffering,
Like don't waste your time thinking,
Oh,
It's poor me.
Some people can get rich and suffer,
And I have to be poor and suffer.
That's not fair.
It just is.
Not everybody is going to wake up the same direction.
So whatever path you're on,
I woke up through being poor.
I didn't wake up because I was rich.
So it's,
You know,
You don't have,
It doesn't,
Your situation doesn't have to be different for you to wake up.
But if you're going to wake up,
If you're going to head in a direction,
Do it in the right energy,
Because not only will it be in support of yourself,
And it will actually give you the fulfillment that you actually seek.
So it won't be a waste of time.
And then you get rich,
And then you got to start over,
Manifesting in a different way because you're miserable.
And,
You know,
Like,
So just start doing it the right way in the beginning.
Because not only will,
You know,
Like I said,
Not only will it be in support of yourself and be an expression of yourself,
But you're also achieve it too.
You're going to achieve it either way.
If you walk in a direction of something,
You're going to get there.
Whether it's you're walking egoically,
Or whether you're walking authentically,
You're going to get there.
It's just,
Who do you want to be when you get there?
Do you want to be fulfilled and happy and joyful and everything's wonderful?
And now you're there,
You know,
And life is wonderful.
And you've got everything that you wanted and you're fulfilled and everything's good.
Or do you want to spend all this time manifesting a bunch of stuff that you think that you want?
And then all of a sudden you get there and you feel all empty and messed up in the head and confused and not understanding why you're not happy and all this stuff,
And then have to work through all that.
It's like,
It's such a longer process,
Man.
Like,
Let's say it takes you 10 years to become a millionaire,
Right?
And you're poor now.
So you work for 10 years to accomplish something.
And then you're basking around in it for another,
You know,
Five years,
Kind of thinking you're pseudo happy,
But not really.
But then trying to figure out all the problems that came with this money and the suffering is ensuing.
And then you get really lost and then you spiral for five years and then you finally wake up.
And then,
You know,
So now all of a sudden you spend 10 years getting someplace,
Another 10 years to figure out what went wrong and how to actually do it correctly.
And now that's 20 years.
Or you just do it now the right way.
And not only can you,
You know,
Save the second 10 years,
Like let's say it still takes you 10 years to get where you want,
Right?
Not only will you save the next 10 years of navigating all the misery that you didn't think was gonna be there,
But that is there,
Not only that,
But when you manifest for 10 years in alignment with who you truly are,
You're going to enjoy those 10 years because it's not just getting there.
Every step,
The journey is an expression of yourself.
So you're gonna be fulfilled expressing yourself,
Moving towards a higher expression of who you truly are during those 10 years.
So it's gonna be a wonderful journey during those 10 years.
And then the fulfillment will feel good too,
Like icing on the cake.
And it just rolls off and rolls off and it's just more joy and more happiness and more expression of self.
You know,
That's how it goes.
So it's not just when you get to the accomplishment that it's better,
It's better on the way.
The other way,
You go with,
You know,
The example I get and you can play with the years.
You know,
I use the example of 20 years,
Whatever.
It can be five years,
It can be 10 years,
It can be 40 years,
Whatever you want,
Whatever resonates with you.
But that is walking in the wrong direction and then having to try to fix it.
So you don't get all the fulfillment you would get as you're walking there.
And then once you get there,
You don't have the fulfillment you thought you were gonna get.
And then you have to go through suffering to find out how to get the fulfillment that you want.
And that,
Oh,
Please people.
You know,
This is why I life coach.
It's because this is why I life coach the way that I life coach.
Because to me,
Doing things on a deeper level is so much worth the work.
Why play with life on the surface level where there's 6 million things that can go wrong?
When you can just go down to the core,
Shift the core at the bottom and then everything that comes off of that is beautiful.
So that's what I'm talking about.
Get in touch with yourself.
Please try to manifest through your authentic heartfelt desires by connecting to your source and your true self first.
Like not just for five minutes over and over and over until you're comfortable in that space and use your real life scenarios to find out how to be honest and true with yourself.
And every once in a while,
You're gonna BS yourself and catch yourself and be like,
Oh,
Okay,
Did that feel wrong?
How did I BS myself there?
Oh,
Okay,
Yeah,
When it said something I liked,
I just hopped onto it instead of feeling deeper.
Okay,
I won't do that again.
And get good at it.
Then create your life out of that.
That create,
That,
Oh man,
When you create out of that,
That deep place,
That's where it really comes out and comes through.
Yeah.
Well,
That's all I got.
That's gonna do it.
All right,
Thank you all for listening.
Hope this helps.
And have a wonderful week.
Peace.
