Take a few moments to lay back and let go of tension within the body. Through this progressive muscles relaxation, you will systematically release anything heavy and fill yourself with renewed, healing energy. You may sit or lie down, please allow for a safe space to have eyes closed and fully tune into the body and the senses.

Body scan meditations can be done anytime you need to find deep relaxation,

Stress,

Or pain relief.

This practice can help bring you into the present moment and pay attention to areas we may ignore or chronic pain that constantly nags you throughout the day.

Your breath is the magic elixir that you can work with to release tension and hold precious space for chronic pain.

Body scans are good to do at the end of the day while lying in bed or first thing in the morning when you wake.

Begin and end your day with conscious self-care.

Close the eyes to better tune into the body and release any distractions around you.

Become aware of your body and its connection beneath you.

Begin with the feet.

Sense their weight.

Start to relax the toes,

Then the arches of the feet.

Move up to the ankles.

Relax the calves.

Relax the thighs.

Notice any tension being held and use your breath to smooth over that space.

Continue to move up through the hips and the glutes,

The belly and lower back.

Any soreness,

Aches,

Pains.

Imagine your breath as a healing elixir moving through your body to offer relaxation and healing.

Smooth over the entire back,

The shoulders,

Down the arms.

Relax the fingers.

Pull each breath into the neck and the throat,

Bathing it with openness and space.

Wash over the eyes,

The eyelids,

The forehead,

The cheeks,

The jaw.

Feel complete peace and harmony within the body.

Allow your body's own self-healing wisdom and mechanism to flow through you to replenish and heal.

Sink into complete comfort,

Surrender,

And peace.

Musings for your meditation today.

At what point in your day would you most benefit from a body scan and healing meditation?

Are there any areas of your body,

Your mind,

Or your thoughts that you can work to pay more attention to on a regular basis?

What other imagery can you use to imagine healing happening within your body?

Have a wonderful and beautiful day today.

Namaste.

Namaste.

Namaste.
