Welcome to this New Moon Meditation.
Please find yourself in a comfortable position either sitting upright or lying down and close down the eyes now.
We'll begin with focusing on the breath.
So begin to inhale and exhale naturally to your own rhythm.
Just becoming aware of your natural rhythm.
And then begin to match your inhalations to your exhalations.
Again to your own rhythm.
You may like to inhale for four seconds and then exhale for four seconds.
Continuing to match the length of the inhale to the length of the exhale.
Breathing in through your nose and exhaling through the nose.
And continue to focus on your breath for a few more rounds.
Inhaling,
Exhaling through the nose.
Matching the length of the inhalation to the exhalation.
And if you find that your mind wanders throughout this meditation,
Simply come back to the breath.
Focusing on your inhalations and exhalations.
The New Moon is a powerful time for changing things in our lives.
We bring awareness to what we want to change.
And then we set these intentions so that we can begin to bring about powerful and lasting transformation within our lives.
We're going to start by doing a scan of our physical body.
Starting from the bottom of your feet.
Bring your attention to your physical body and slowly bring your awareness upwards as you scan your entire body.
Without judgment,
Just acknowledge if there's any part of your body that needs attention or is holding onto pain or tension.
Just simply become aware.
So moving up from your feet through your legs.
Up through your torso,
Your chest,
Your shoulders.
Down the arms.
And up through the neck and into the head.
Just simply acknowledging if there's any area within the physical body that needs your attention.
And now we're going to reach out further past the physical body into the mental body.
Scanning this layer of yourself.
Becoming aware of the mental energy that surrounds you.
Is there anything that you can feel within this mental body of energy?
Any thought patterns?
Any behaviours?
Any confusion?
What can you feel in your mental body that needs your attention?
And again,
Just simply bringing awareness to this without judgment.
Just accepting it and acknowledging it and then moving on to the next part.
Reaching even further outside our physical bodies now.
We are reaching out into the emotional energy.
What emotions can you feel in this layer of yourself?
What emotions are coming to the surface?
What emotions have you been holding on to?
Again,
Just simply acknowledging without judgment these emotions that are coming to the surface right now.
You don't need to think about why they are present,
What the cause is.
Just simply accept that these are the emotions in your life right now.
And now reaching further outside of your body into the layer of spiritual energy.
What are you feeling in this layer of yourself?
What are you holding on to?
What is coming up for you within your spirituality?
Are you struggling with your spirituality?
Or do you feel quite clear and confident in your spiritual path?
Take note of what you're feeling in this spiritual layer of yourself.
You're just checking in here with this layer of yourself again with no judgment.
Just simply acknowledging and then moving on.
Now that you have a deep sense of what is going on within your physical self,
Your mental self,
Your emotional self and your spiritual self.
Again with no judgment.
But you may have a sense of wanting to change some aspect of yourself from what you have identified through this scan.
What do you want to change?
Is there some part of your physical self,
Mental self,
Emotional self or spiritual self that you would like to change?
Visualize your ideal self.
How does your physical self feel in your ideal world?
How does your mental self feel?
And your emotional self?
And your spiritual self?
Sink deeply into this visualization of how you want your entire self to feel.
Really feel this within your physical body and really feel it in your mental body,
Your emotional body and your spiritual body.
Capture that feeling that you want to manifest within yourself and hold on to that feeling.
You become what you feel.
And the more that you bring this feeling of your ideal self into your being,
The more easier it will be for you to become this.
Whenever you feel yourself slipping back into these old patterns of feeling,
Whether that's in the physical,
Mental,
Emotional or spiritual self.
Simply come back into this feeling of your ideal self.
Practice this regularly and soon you will find that you are your ideal self.
Begin to bring your focus back to your breath now.
Taking some deep inhalations and exhaling.
And begin to bring your awareness back to your physical self and back to the present moment.
Becoming aware of the room you are in.
Becoming aware of any noises that you can hear.
The touch of the air on your skin.
Breathing in any scents that you can smell around you.
And when you are ready,
You can open your eyes.
