Dwelling in the secret place,
Dwelling with God,
A meditation for recovery from long COVID.
So let's dwell now in that secret place for a while,
Taking a deep breath.
Exhale slowly through your mouth.
Whatever you can do with your breath at this time is more than enough.
Visualize yourself going into your own inner room,
Your upper chamber,
Your inner secret closet.
The Holy Spirit awaits you there.
Even within yourself,
You have this place that is untouched by any disease or illness.
When you're in there,
You will be with the most loving and gentle person who ever existed.
Let's take our problems now,
Our worries,
Our burdens,
And throw them off of us and onto Jesus.
He tells us to do this.
It's okay to do this.
Let's do that right now.
Let's lie down now by the river of life.
The fresh air smells like sweet white roses and a gentle breeze comes and softly brushes your face so that you do not feel alone.
And as we exhale slowly together,
He gives us our next deep breath.
Take in the presence of Jesus with your breath.
You are casting off your burdens and you can feel your body begin to soften now.
Check in with your body where it may be tight and release it from the bottom of your feet upward adding in new released parts of your body here and there.
Feel your body responding as you release and relax.
You are being held in the hands of God.
Here you can simply be still at peace.
In such a loving place with God,
He is complete,
Generous,
And lacking nothing.
He has everything to offer you to heal from long COVID and we can achieve feeling this love and accepting His peace,
Joy,
And strength by simply allowing Him to do it.
Take another deep breath.
Let your body be filled with His love.
Let the air out ever so slowly through your mouth.
And whatever you can do with your breath at this time is more than enough.
Sense yourself casting off anything left over from your worries or your burdens.
In this stillness,
We sense and accept God's love for us.
So gentle,
So loving,
And so healing.
Now let's bask in His presence and stillness for a few moments.
If any unwanted thoughts come,
Let them fly out into the deep blue sky.
