Jenny has been a witch for almost three decades and created this Lammas or Lughnasadh guided meditation for witches and non-witches alike. This is the first harvest of the wheel of the year. Let's began to celebrate the abundance of what we do have with a simple gratitude practice. We will connect with the four elements to become present and connected.

Hi and welcome to your meditation for Lamas or Lunasas,

The holiday on the witch's wheel of the year that falls on August 1st.

This meditation can be done anytime but that's the time of year that we usually celebrate that holiday.

My name is Jenny C.

Bell and I am the author of Spirit Crystals,

Discover Your Crystal Guide for Healing and Empowerment and I'm also the host of Our Coven and I've been celebrating this wheel of the year for over 30 years.

In this meditation,

We're going to be doing a short meditation just to focus on connecting you with the four elements.

So those are earth,

Air,

Fire,

Water and it's just a nice way to kind of tune in to the season,

Slow down and take a moment to be grateful for yourself,

Your body and the elements.

So when you're ready,

You can do this meditation standing,

Sitting,

Lying down.

I would like you to get yourself comfortable.

If you're not comfortable,

Please pause.

Find yourself in a comfortable position and where you won't be interrupted during the meditation and then we'll begin.

Okay,

So now that you're comfortable,

I would like you to just take a deep breath and sigh it out.

So if you can,

Get really loud just like,

You know,

Like if you need to really let it out and give it a scream,

Give it a yell,

Like just let something out of your body,

Right?

And then let's do another one like that on your own time and then if you want,

You could shake your body out a little bit.

So if you're laying down,

You kind of like put your arms up in there and your legs up in there and you shake it out.

If you're standing,

Just kind of like roll your shoulders and shake your arms and legs one at a time.

If you're sitting,

You can shake your arms out,

Your hands,

Like maybe roll your neck around,

Just kind of like let your body come here for a moment,

Right?

And then when you're ready,

I'd like you to close your eyes and take some slow deep breaths.

So these are going to be deep breaths where you kind of fill up your belly with air and you release it and we're just that way we can come to the present moment.

So take a deep breath,

Let it out,

Do one more on your own time.

And the first element we're going to connect to is the element of earth.

So I would like you to feel in your body where you're touching the earth or the floor,

The bed,

The chair beneath you.

So what parts of your body are touching the earth or an object between you and the earth?

And I would like you to envision your body as part of the earth,

Right?

So you're no longer just touching the floor,

The chair,

The mat,

But your body is touching the earth.

So visualize yourself those things kind of melting away,

Whatever you're actually sitting on or laying on kind of disappearing and you're on the earth.

And just really envision your body as part of the earth.

Becoming part of the earth.

So whatever parts of you are touching a surface,

Imagine those parts becoming one with the earth.

Like there's no space in between,

Right?

Suddenly your arms or your legs or your seated area is becoming one with earth.

Maybe it's turning to stone,

Maybe it's turning into a plant or a tree,

Maybe grass is growing,

But you're really connected to the earth.

And just take a deep breath and really feel a connection with the earth.

And then I want you to envision inside of your body,

The blood flowing through your body as really flowing with water.

So I would like you to envision water instead of blood flowing through your veins and do your best,

Right,

To feel or sense this.

And also connecting you to water somewhere around you.

So we're going to envision that earthly connection.

Now there's like a little part of you,

A little part of your body,

Your being,

Your senses,

Is able to connect with water underground.

And now that water,

It's like an underground river or a well,

However you want to envision it,

Is now connecting to your veins and there's water flowing through your body.

So you're one with the earth and you're one with the water.

Now I want you to envision the air around you,

Like see if you can feel or sense the air around you.

What's the temperature?

Is there a breeze?

Is there a fan on,

Right?

Really feel the air.

And I want you to envision air just really flowing all around your body,

Like in a safe way.

But there's air constantly,

It's like flowing and cleansing your body.

It's really flowing around you so that you're one with air.

And then I want you to envision in between your belly button and your ribs.

That's your solar plexus chakra,

Right?

I'd like you to envision that chakra or sense it as a little ball of fire,

As a little inner sun,

Right?

And it's not dangerous to you.

It's a healthy,

Passionate fire,

Right?

It's your power center.

And I want you to envision that power,

That fire going up through your upper chakras and down through your lower chakras.

So it's going up through the heart and the heart is ablaze with love and passion.

Going up through the throat chakra,

Burning away anything that makes you not be able to speak your truth.

Going up to the third eye,

Opening the third eye,

Going up to the crown chakra.

And it's just this beautiful like divine flame.

And then it's going down into your sacral chakra,

Your inner spiritual womb.

It's going down to your root chakra,

Clearing out anything that makes you feel unsafe.

And you're just really connected now.

You have the earthly connection.

You have water running through,

Air all around you,

Fire inside.

Take a deep breath.

Think about that connection.

Feel it.

Sense it.

And then you're going to slowly let it go.

Slowly envision yourself just connected,

No longer to the earth.

You're pulling that up,

You're becoming your own body.

Pull up the connection to the water.

Allow the fire to cool and diminish in your body.

Allow the air to slowly come to a standing like spot around you.

It's no longer flowing so wildly around you.

And you're just back here in your body in the here and now in your space wherever you are listening.

And I thank you for listening.

And this is a really great meditation to do before rituals or spell work.

It's one that just really helps you connect with the four elements,

Especially if you use them to call in a sacred circle.
