Sixth chakra meditation,
Begin by finding a comfortable seat,
Or if you'd like you can stand.
Close your eyes or close them partway and begin by noticing the surfaces of your body that are touching the earth.
Imagine those surfaces could grow roots into the earth and then with your mind's eye come bring your awareness to your pelvis.
Perhaps you'd like to give your pelvis a little bit of movement forward and back or side to side.
Using this movement to bring you into dynamic alignment and then coming upright into your spine,
Bringing your awareness now up toward your navel and solar plexus area.
Breathing into your power and feeling how these lower third chakras can stack over each other and then taking your awareness up to your heart space.
Breathing into your sense of love and compassion and connection and then taking your awareness up to your throat.
Taking some deep breaths and noticing both the expansion of your lungs and the expansion of your throat.
Take an inhale and then come into a hum on the exhale.
And then bring your awareness to your third eye space,
Your sixth chakra.
It's the space between your eyebrows and slightly above it.
This chakra is all about vision.
It's about sight and insight.
Being able to see what is invisible.
Being able to clearly see right action.
Being able to see the truth or the truths of a situation and its shadow is illusion.
So much of our work here in this chakra is having the discernment to understand what are we seeing,
Where is what we are experiencing insight and clarity,
And where is what we're experiencing illusion or projection.
The element here is light.
Imagine light from the cosmos,
The sun,
The moon,
The stars.
Imagine that light coming down here onto earth and coming into your body through your third eye,
Allowing this light to be cleansing and healing.
It begins by circling around inside your brain,
Dancing and healing anything that your body and your psyche and your energy body doesn't need anymore.
Allow this cosmic light to dance throughout your brain,
To swirl around through your throat,
Down through your body,
Through your organs and your limbs,
Purifying and healing all what's inside you.
Let it swirl and move and dance within you like the sun and the moon and the stars are all existing within your body.
And then imagine the things you no longer need whooshing out through your feet,
Through those roots you built earlier and into the earth.
The light removes anything that your body doesn't need anymore,
That you don't need anymore.
Let it dissolve and then come back up into your upright spine.
And now imagine a beautiful shining light from the center of your brain out through your third eye like a spotlight.
This light can shine truth on all that you see.
This light can help you discern truth from illusion,
Insight from projection.
We're going to come back to a little humming practice here.
On your exhale you'll hum and imagine that hum cycling up from your throat to your third eye.
So we'll inhale and then exhale up to your third eye with a hum,
Bringing vibration into your upper body.
We'll try a couple more like this.
Inhale,
Hum to your third eye.
Once more,
Breathe into your heart,
Breathe into the earth,
Breathe into your third eye.
And then take your hands over your heart as a heart seal.
Soften your chin to your chest to signal to your body that the meditation for today is complete.
And offering a sense of gratitude to your body for the work it's done for you today.
